Chapter 39: The Other Reincarnator
“Argh! Why?! Why can’t I join Centrior?!”
The maids who had been serving the girl quivered in fear when they heard her shouting.
“Calm down, Erina. Your wish will soon come true even if you don’t go to Centrior.” A man admonished the girl with a graceful smile on his face.
The girl lived comfortably in a gorgeous and luxurious room inside the Imperial Palace of the Magenda Empire. Magenda had reigned over many nations and had collected great wealth from them.
“Is that true, Gracerid-sama?”
Erina asked the man, whose eyes looked like carnivorous beast with evil designs. The man was the lord of this castle — the Emperor of the Magenda Empire, Gracerid Agut Huren Obzecht[1].
Gracerid: “Hmm. Thanks to you, our preparation has been going smoothly.”
Erina: “Then?! Does it mean you’re going to catch Ruben-sama soon?!”
“That’s right. Not only the Crown Prince, the whole empire will be mine.” Gracerid picked up a glass of high-grade wine and drained it down his throat.
Erina looked up at him with a dreamy feeling.
She was also a reincarnator who knew that this world was similar to an otome game. When she was 12, she had recalled her memories and began planning on joining the academy to become one of the otome game character.
Erina was born in a commoner family in the countryside of Shian. Even if she was a reincarnated person, entering Centrior would still require great effort. Although she had put all her effort into it, unfortunately, it was too difficult for a commoner to enter the academy.
Then why was I reincarnated into this world?!
She felt terrible being driven into a corner. She was devastated for being unable to doing anything even though she knew very well that this world was an otome game that she had played so many times in her previous life.
“What is the purpose of having this memory? What should I do with this power…?”
And eventually, the answer that she could come up with was to get Shian’s enemy, Magenda, to recognize her ability to foresee the future. If she had thought rationally, she would realize how bizarre her conclusion was. But before she knew it, she was already in this situation as if she had been led by fate.
And so, Erina went to Magenda and demonstrated her precognition ability to them. Once Magenda’s spies in Shian had confirmed her information was legit, she had gained an important position from the emperor.
She was now called the ‘Clairvoyant Miko’[2].
You’ll see. I can also become the protagonist of this world.
Erina’s eyes were full of hopes unlike before.
― ― ―
Gracerid left Erina’s room and went back to his office.
“It seems that the academy is going to hold a school festival this autumn, exactly as Miko-sama had said.”
“Hmm. It’s their first time planning a festival, so there must be a flaw somewhere. Once we rectify the plot according to her words, then we can destroy the academy in the final stage grandly.”
Upon hearing the report, Gracerid broke into a grin. Magenda had been in an inconclusive battle with Shian for many years. But that would end now.
“Those golden eggs[3] are just eggs if we don’t let them hatch.”
He had been waiting for this moment for years. Once he wiped out the enemy eggs that had gathered at the Centrior Imperial Magic Academy in Shian, his chance to win would come in due course.
The spy, who had infiltrated the school 15 years ago, had been hiding well and waiting for a chance to break the enemy’s neck. If he couldn’t attack them from the outside, then he could just destroy them from the inside. Centrior was a perfect target for this strategy.
“The ‘mob’ that she said before, what is the risk factor?”
“…She keeps changing the future.”
The henchman broke into a cold sweat as he reported the situation.
“Really? That’s interesting. Just a little girl can change the future predicted by a clairvoyant. Perhaps I could change the future too.” Gracerid gave a chuckle.
The henchman felt relief when he realized the emperor was not displeased by his report earlier.
“You can go now. Make sure that person do the job properly.”
“Yes, my Lord! Glory to the Empire!”
Behind the scenes of the otome game, the wheel of fortune had already started spinning.

“Let’s take a break.”
As usual, the light refreshments were prepared by Carna. Razé was impressed by Carna’s thoughtfulness and ate twice more than others.
Razé had returned to her usual appearance with braided bangs pinned with hair clip given by her subordinate as before. Folia and Carna seemed disappointed by it, but the way she dressed up during her birthday party made her mentally tired. Razé thought perhaps she could dress up again on another special day.
Folia: “The groundwork for the festival is almost complete.”
Luca: “You’re right.”
Adis turned to Carna and asked, “The regular exam and school holiday is coming soon. What is your plan?”
Carna: “Let’s proceed with the preparation but make sure not to overwork yourself. I think maybe we should gather once during the holiday. I was hoping that we could work on the decorations that match the theme of the festival.”
Adis: “Alright. If I don’t have a date on that day, I’ll join you.”
Razé felt that Adis’ playboy attitude had levelled up compared to the previous year. She was kind of impressed by his confidence in saying this kind of words unabashedly.
Razé was eating madeleines while listening to their discussion when Carna suddenly turned to her.
Carna: “Err…Razé, can you come too?”
Looking at her reaction, Razé knew that Carna was afraid to trouble her.
Carna: “I’d be grateful if you could come…”
The way she is asking for a favor is so cute. Razé had already decided that she was going to hang out with her friends this holiday, so she nodded her head.
Razé: “I’ll go. I’ll make sure to adjust my schedule so that I can join you.”
“Really?!” The angel and goddess were smiling happily. Seeing their expression, Razé was even more determined to join the gathering. She swore to herself that she would make time for them by any means necessary.
Folia: “Then, should we gather somewhere near Razé’s place?”
Carna: “Oh, right. Razé, where do you live?”
You’re going to prioritize me? Razé was touched by their thoughtfulness.
Razé: “It’s close to the capital, so don’t worry too much about the location. I can use teleportation.”
Carna: “Really? Then, shall we gather at my place?”
Carna thought that she should be the host since the gathering was her idea. But Ruben immediately rejected it.
Ruben: “No. I’ll prepare the venue.”
Carna: “Is it okay?”
Ruben: “Yes. We can’t always trouble you. I can arrange this matter easily.”
His words sounded like something that only a young master could say. Although, it was pretty obvious that he simply didn’t want another guy to enter Carna’s house. Razé decided to pretend that she didn’t know anything.
[1] *$%&#@ I don’t know why Japanese authors like to use ridiculously long katakana names with unknown origin. I don’t even know how to spell them in English. If you can think of a more suitable spelling, leave a comment below. ↩

[3] 金の卵(lit. golden egg) means youth with promising future. They kept mentioning ‘eggs’, so I’ll just use the literal meaning. ↩
