Chu Jiao felt as if she had been immersed in a long dream.
In her dream, she became a little girl, holding the hand of a man in military uniform, and calling him “Second Uncle”; then later on, she became a slender and elegant woman who had grabbed onto an immortal’s sleeve and called him “Master”; next, she shrank into a cat, dozing off in the lap of someone in a suit; then, she morphed into a married woman, paying her respects to a man in a blue robe.
She remembered these people, they were the targets of her previous missions.
There was no fluctuation in Chu Jiao’s heart. After each world had ended, her memories of everything in that world seemed to be covered with a white gauze, they were hazy and unclear. She only remembered that she had completed her mission, and that those people and the events that had happened, were merely akin to passing travelers.
But as those pictures became clearer and deeper, memories began to flood into her mind, and something that had been suppressed in her heart broke out of its shackles.
Second uncle… Master… Ah Nan… Father-in-law… Brother Yan…
Her memories stopped at the last world where the man had cut his wrist in a panic and delivered it to her mouth. She finally managed to find a thread of the ball of chaotic enigma that was always stuck in her mind and bit by bit, pulled it out.
Why was it that she was able to meet a male lead who loved, doted and cared for her every time? Why was she able to clear the missions so smoothly every time? Why was she unable to help herself from falling in love every time…
Even though these men looked completely different from each other, their personalities divergent, but they all treated her with the same depth of affection.
This was also good. If she didn’t have her memories, she would’ve perhaps thought nothing different, however, now that she recalled her experiences in the past few worlds, recalling those unchanging black eyes, recalling how they liked pecking each other’s cheeks, she felt that there was a clue to everything.
They were all the same person.
No, perhaps saying it this way wouldn’t be fitting.
Just like her, the thing that rests within their bodies, was the same single soul.
Who was he?
Was he like her? A person with a mission?
And what were his missions?
Chu Jiao now had a lot of questions in her head as well as grievance and anger from being kept in the dark by “him”.
“Princess, princess, it’s time for breakfast.”
Her contemplation inside dreamland didn’t last long as Chu Jiao was stirred awake by a voice.
She opened her eyes, and saw a person dressed like a maid kneeling on the side of the bed, calling her with her head down in respect.
Princess?
It looked like the identity of the original owner this time was very noble.
Temporarily suppressing the doubts and feelings in her heart she had about “him”, Chu Jiao stood up and let the maid dress her in layers of complicated clothes while calling for the system in her mind to transmit to her the story of this world.
This time, it was another ancient world.
The body she was possessing was the beloved daughter of the monarch of Chu Kingdom. Born from a favored consort, she had lived her whole life in the palace looking down at everyone. However, due to her father’s incompetence, the North Mongolion Xianbei tribe who had always coveted the Central Plains invaded one of the Chu Kingdom territories. For the sake of a peaceful dynasty, Emperor Chu decided to use the means of marital alliance.
Originally, Emperor Chu planned to send an unfavored princess to the barbarians, however, the Xianbei khans were not easy to fool. It was easy to bring up the talk of marriage but they only accepted the beloved daughter Emperor Chu doted on, which was also the original owner, Chu Jiao.
The original owner had always lived a life of luxury in the imperial city. How could she be willing to marry into the desolate desert where barbarians lived? She cried and made a ruckus, expressing her discontent, but Father Emperor who was usually forgiving, was particularly unyielding in this matter. He ordered people to tie her up and send her to the peace-making troop.
In the month that the peace-making troop was walking towards the destination, the original owner ran away thirty times. Even though she was brought back every time, they still couldn’t convince her to give her hand-in-marriage to a barbarian.
When they finally arrived at Outer Mongolia, the original owner finally thought of a plan the day before she was arranged to marry: Get a substitute! She forced her personal maid, who was the female lead, to pretend to be her and marry in her place. Then, she secretly followed the peace-keeping troop back to the imperial city.
What the original owner didn’t know was that all her actions were seen by the male lead, who was also her future husband, Xianbei Khan Hu Luoyan.
Hu Luoyan had gone to the battlefield at the age of fourteen and defeated six of his elder brothers to succeed as Xianbei Khan at the age of twenty. He united the 45 parts of Outer Mongolia at the age of 36 and became the youngest Great Khan in history.
Dissatisfied with the small territory of Outer Mongolia, he set his eyes on the entire world.
The Chu Kingdom occupied the Central Plains. He wanted to swallow this fertile land, but he could not act with undue haste.
A martial alliance was a good way to confuse the enemy. Hu Luoyan had no love in his heart, and marrying was just a means to understand and paralyze the Han.
Outer Mongolia was already in his control so Hu Luoyan came to the Chu Kingdom with a team of escorts on a whim, to personally receive his bride. He pretended to be a guarding soldier, however, he only witnessed the series of brainless and foolish escape attempts the original owner made. Feeling fed up with the original owner, his gaze was attracted to the clever female lead standing beside the original owner.
Knowing that the original host had forced the female lead to exchange identities with her, he didn’t expose it, instead, he beat her at her own game and pretended to have no knowledge of it, proceeding to marry the female lead.
Of course, after this, the two people gradually fell in love with each other, making love in many different locations. Later on, the female lead was afraid of her inferior identity being exposed. The two played a game of ‘you chase and I flee’ before finally resolving the misunderstanding and confessing their love for each other. The male lead brought the female lead with him on his journey of world domination and eventually wiped out the Chu Kingdom. The original owner died tragically in the imperial palace whereas the male lead brought the female lead everywhere with him and conquered the world.
Chu Jiao closed the plot of “The Khan Tyrant Dotes on the False Princess” and rubbed her forehead.
She was currently on the road to Outer Mongolia and had already escaped for the third time.
The maid serving her respectfully in front was the female lead of this world, Bi Luo.
Before she could even say something to the female lead, a low male voice travelled from outside of the curtain.
“Princess, it’s time to set off.”
Chu Jiao heard this voice, and a faint glimmer flashed through her eyes.
Alright. Good. All the stars of the show are here.
