Meet Taylor, a shy and introverted teenager with an extraordinary superpower. Frustrated with her mundane civilian life, she turns to vigilantism as a means of escape. However, her first encounter with a supervillain goes awry and she is mistaken for one herself. This thrusts her into the complex world of superheroes and villains, where politics, unwritten rules, and moral ambiguity reign supreme. As Taylor risks her life to protect others, she grapples with the difficult decision of doing the wrong things for the right reasons. The story, titled "Worm," is told through a web serial format, with bite-sized chapters released regularly. This style is reminiscent of how renowned authors like Mark Twain would release their works one chapter at a time in the past. The serial began in June 2011 and was updated twice a week until its completion in late November 2013. With a total of approximately 1,680,000 words, it is equivalent to 26 typical novels or 1011 very thick novels. Regular updates were on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with occasional bonus chapters on Thursdays, as explained below.
