I found myself engaged to the tyrannical male lead, a character who ultimately becomes the villainess due to her unhealthy obsession with the handsome tyrant. As expected, she meets her demise at the hands of the tyrant in the original story. But my story begins before all of that. With determination and cunning, I managed to perform numerous actions that would normally lead to my rejection by the tyrant. And to my surprise, I succeeded in becoming a trusted friend to the tyrant, who turned out to be much kinder than I had anticipated. When the female lead, whom he saw for the first time, asked about our meeting, I simply smiled and replied, "Oh, you mean your encounter with Miss Diel, Your Majesty?" He tilted his head curiously, but I could tell he was secretly interested. Rumors say that he fell in love with her at first sight, but I witnessed it all. I couldn't help but giggle and playfully poke his arm. "You know what? If you have someone you like, please let me know." He raised an eyebrow, probably thinking I wanted to eliminate any potential rivals. But I reassured him with a sincere smile, "Why would I do that? Do you think I'm like you?" His expression softened, and he chuckled. "Well, I'll end our engagement at the right time," I added confidently. Suddenly, his smile disappeared, and his gaze became intense as he spoke in a low, husky voice, "Miss..." My words caught in my throat as I met his piercing eyes. But before I could say anything, he gently brushed a strand of hair off my cheek. "Don't make jokes like that," he said softly, almost pleadingly. In that moment, I realized that maybe there was more to this tyrant than meets the eye. And perhaps, just perhaps, I could change his fate and mine as well.
