Sakimori Kagami is an experienced player of the virtual reality game Arch Earth Online. He goes by the name and appearance of a wise, bearded wizard, reminiscent of a character from a famous book about a powerful ring. One day, he decides to use up his expiring currency and purchases an item that allows him to change his appearance. As a last resort, he chooses to see what his character would look like as a female. However, when he falls asleep, he wakes up still logged into the game. To his surprise, everything seems more realistic than before. Has Arch Earth Online finally received the long-awaited update? Kagami can't help but wonder as he explores this new and immersive world.
