Seeing Tang Mo’er in pain, Gu Mohan’s pupils contracted, his heart pulled taut as though it had been squeezed by a tightened fist. He felt suffocated. With two large palms, he gently caressed her tiny face, his voice a soothing murmur, “Sorry Mo’er, don’t cry.”

Tang Mo’er cried even harder. She felt so wronged. Her chest throbbed and crystal tears kept falling down her cheeks as she looked up at him with reddening eyes. Choking on her tears, she said “You’re bullying me.”

Gu Mohan felt helpless. Using his nose to smack softly against hers, he chided helplessly, “Who is the bully? The one who touched me was you, the one who pinched and teased me was also you. I’ve only collected interest by kissing you and suddenly you’re crying non stop. Now that I can’t touch you or scold you, I’ve already doted on you to the point I’ve lost all control. What do you want me to do, Mo’er?”

Doted?

Tang Mo’er felt this word was really funny and scoffed, “Gu Mohan, when did you ever dote on me? Don’t think I don’t know that you just want to play me!”

Gu Mohan’s eyes sank and his large palms pinched her delicate face. “Tang Mo’er, you really think I am playing with you, huh? Go and think of all the times since we met, have I ever played you? Instead, every time I touch you a little, you keep demanding for either money or the nomination. Did I not give it to you? You even offered yourself to me, and now you’re blaming me for not accepting your offer?”

“…”

She had caught a glimpse of this devil-tongued individual once again. Indeed, those times, it wasn’t his fault. It was hers.

“Fine, you did not play me, but you wanted me to be your woman. You already have Lu Qi’er by your side yet you still want to be intimate with you. You only want to keep me as your mistress!” shouted Tang Mo’er as she revealed her true thoughts with a tear-stained face.

Gu Mohan eyes moved and his voice was cold and stern, “Tang Mo’er, you think too much.”

“You still want to argue and say that you didn’t?”

“There are many people who want to be my mistress. Does it look like I have time to waste, playing ambiguous mind games and getting intimate with them?”

“…”

She was rendered speechless by his words once again?

Indeed, there were many women who yearned to be his mistress and would willingly jump into his bed if he gave them a single glance.

Gu Mohan looked up at her face and forced her to look at him. “If you cared so much about Lu Qi’er, then why didn’t you say so?”

Tang Mo’er found her mouth spoke faster than her mind as the denial spilled from her lips, “I don’t!”

Gu Mohan’s eyes exuded an icy darkness, “With your IQ, you should know that it doesn’t matter whether I’m engaged to Lu Qi’er or not. This so-called marriage is just a farce set up by Master Lu. If her existence bothers you so much, then let me tell you seriously, I don’t like Lu Qi’er.”

He doesn’t like Lu Qier?

Tang Mo’er was so stunned that she forgot to cry. She looked at him teary eyes and a bewildered expression.

Gu Mohan gently kissed all the tears off of her face. His low voice pierced her heart, “Miss Tang, so that’s what you think of me, huh? That I’ll play you, then keep you on the side as a mistress. You’re really heartless. Go and think about who I really like.”

Tang Mo’er heart skipped a beat.

Who does he like?

Looking at her confused face, Gu Mohan quirked his lips into a sardonic smile. “To be my woman means to date me. If we’re happy dating, then you can be my wife. Do you understand?”

Date?

Tang Mo’er was completely dumbfounded.

After his heartfelt words, Gu Mohan let go of her and got up from the bed. With an easy grace, he loosened the buttons on his white shirt, his movements casual and elegant.

From Tang Mo’er’s angle, she could see the distinct outline of his face, his firm jawline and prominent cheekbones. It was cold, yet fierce.

Oh , remembering her earlier words, she realized she must have disappointed him.
