The apartment was luxurious. On the ground floor, it had a living room, a spacious dining area, an ultra-modular kitchen with a separate pantry room, one master bedroom, a study room, and a servant's room.

The living room was huge, having a sizeable semi-circular sofa with a beautiful glass center table. There was a big TV screen in front of it, giving a home theater-like feel. Behind the couch, there was a dining area with a rectangular wooden dining table with deep brown color finishing. The dining area was elevated by two steps from the living room. The living room had large floor to ceiling glass windows that allowed the room to bathe in bright sunlight. The windows had curtains that hung to the floor. The walls were dyed mostly in light beige color, which went perfectly with wooden floor and furniture in the room.

A servant entered the living room from the kitchen and served water to the Jiang siblings.

Mo Ruolan was happy to see both of them and asked, "How was your flight? I heard it got canceled at the last moment, and you had to get another ticket."

Jiang Yuyan drank the water and said, "It was good, except for the thing… one maniac spilled my coffee and didn't even apologize," she answered, quite angry when she remembered the incident.

'But… He was damn handsome… yes,' she thought and smiled. 'W-wait! What? No! Why am I thinking about him?' she groaned at the turn of her thoughts. She almost spat the water in her mouth. 'I must have lost my mind.' She shook her head and came back to reality.

Her father, Jiang Peizhi, looked at her curiously. "Who dared to annoy my princess?" he asked with a smile on his face.

"It's nothing, father. You know Jiang Yuyan's temper and her love for the coffee." Jiang Yang patted her head and said, "Calm down, angry bird."

Jiang Yuyan was annoyed by this act and quickly lashed out, "I will! After all, you are here for me, my sweet anger management teacher, 'Matilda'!"

"Hey! Call me 'Chuck' at least, not 'Matilda'."

"Yes...yes! That's suits you too. There is no break in your mouth." She paused and then continued, "Well... 'Bomb' suits you too as you always make my head explode in anger with your annoying character?" Jiang Yuyan said, rolling her eyes.

"I didn't know I have such magnificent characteristics. I'll try to add more to it. And about the matter of annoying you, that's my birthright, little sis," Jiang Yang winked at her and gave her a mischievous smile.

The parents were used to the banter between the kids and knew that it showed their love for one another.

"Mom, I am starving," Jiang Yang said as he rubbed his stomach in circular motions with his hand.

"Mom, me too," said Jiang Yuyan.

"Of course, you should be hungry after all the bickering we did about that important matter on the plane," Jiang Yang teased.

Jiang Yuyan glared at him to stop him from mentioning those matters and went on to turn to her mother and said, "Mom, I am dying of hunger. Hurry up!" She didn't want to give her brother a chance to dig the dead from the ground.

"Breakfast is ready, dear. But first, both of you go to your rooms and get fresh, then come downstairs for breakfast." Mo Ruolan got up from the sofa and said, "Let me show you your rooms." She led their way to the set of a staircase on the other side of that huge living room.

On the first floor, there were four rooms—two rooms on either side of the staircase. There was a long corridor in front of the staircase, dividing the rooms into sets of two. At the end of the corridor, there was a glass door that opened into quite a big balcony, which was converted into a mini garden, having different types of beautiful decorative plants and a wooden coffee table in the center.

The first room on the left of the corridor belonged to Jiang Yuyan, and the first room on the right belonged to Jiang Yang. The remaining two rooms were for the guests.

As they reached upstairs and were done knowing about their rooms, Mo Ruolan said, "Everything you need is already in your rooms. Still, if you need anything, call me."

Both of them nodded and went to their rooms. Mo Ruolan headed back downstairs to the kitchen.

When Jiang Yuyan entered the room, she saw that the interior of the room was according to her taste. The room was bright and colorful; all the colors contrasting the white background.

Jiang Yuyan liked everything colorful and fresh. She believed life should be bright, not dull. The walls were dyed mostly in white color having few big random color patches at a few places. The furniture had different colored laminates with the outline of the white one. The curtains, bedsheets, and pillow were in light green color, giving this white room a fresh look. Her room looked like a beautiful painting.

In the center of the room, there was a queen-size bed attached to the wall behind it, with a bedside table with two drawers. The wardrobe was filled with the beautiful dresses, bags, accessories, cosmetics, footwear, and all stuff she needed, but what surprised her more was the one side of the wardrobe was filled only with her favorite type of clothing, and that was different types of jeans, T-shirts, and sneakers that her mother didn't like that much.

"These people are trying very hard to please me," she mumbled while going through her wardrobe but she didn't know, the Pandora box was not completely opened yet, and she was going to get quite a big shock soon!
