It’s… it’s been a long time since she’ve felt anything like this. In the past, she couldn’t feel anything, so she knew she was empty, but she didn’t know how severe it was.

She finally realized how much she’d missed it after recovering it. How could she have forgotten? She was so tearful & happy.

Where have you been all this time?

How many times have I tried searching for you?

I was so lonely…

She grabbed the hand, which had barely been recovered.

She could feel the hand that she had grasped, shaking. She then felt the hand slipping away. She seized it more nervously and held the hand more desperately.

They went frozen when she called out,

‘No, don’t go……’

“Wait a minute…”

An embarrassed low voice sounded out from above her head.

But it passed by without directly reaching her. In the meantime, what was caught in her hands tried to escape her once again. This time it was a more powerful attempt than before. But she was holding the hand with more strength than she thought, so her body ended up being dragged with it too.

Her body hit the table.

Crash!

Then a sharp sound sounded through. The cup on the table was broken. At that moment, Yuri came to her senses.

“Uh……”

Her red eyes blinked open a few times, as if they had just awakened from a dream.

It was not until then that the view became clear. There were clear light blue eyes.

She could see just how close she was to the golden eyelashes.

There was a beautiful, handsome face right in front of her, which looked like a sculpture carved by a craftsman. Yuri realized a little later that it was the face of Lakis. And then suddenly, as she was wondering, she then lowered her gaze……

This time a bigger question came to her. Yuri was almost half-sitting on top of Lakis. He was lying on the sofa with one hand to the side. And that other hand… was held by her, unable to do anything.

Was it the result of her trying to get closer to what was held in her hand a little while ago? She wasn’t just holding his hand, but each finger was closely intertwined. A heat wave came from the closed palm of his hand. This kind of in-depth contact was something she had never had with anyone else before, so it felt strange for a moment. Yuri looked up again and faced the person upfront.

Lakis also seemed to be quite embarrassed by the sudden situation. He looked a bit shaken up. His golden eyelashes trembled like fluttering butterflies. His eyes that were staring straight at her were a little out of sight.

Somehow he seemed so innocent to her at that moment, that she felt like she was playing tricks on an innocent young man. At the sight of that, she was fully awakened.

“Uh, I’m sorry.”

Yuri apologized reflexively. She couldn’t understand how things came to be like this. She was sure that she took care of Lakis last night, and then maybe fell asleep at some point……after that she was awakened to the feeling of someone touching her head.

Then why was she holding hands with this guy? But what’s even more incomprehensible is that she didn’t want to get away from Lakis even under these circumstances. She thought she could mess around with Lakis’ head a bit more in this situation.

Excessive.

Instead of worrying about the position they were in, Yuri gripped his hand even harder. It was an act that she couldn’t understand herself.

Maybe it was incomprehensible for Lakis too, because his eyes were growing bigger and bigger. The other person’s emotional and hostile feelings were conveyed through the close contact. Somehow she felt a little dizzy from the enchanting feeling of their hands touching.

“…Hand.”

Just then, a low-pitched voice flew into Yuri’s ear.

Perhaps because his neck injury hadn’t recovered yet, a slow-tongued toned voice scraped through the eardrum.

“I wish you’d let you go.”

But as soon as she heard the subdued voice, which was a little rough, Yuri felt a twitch in her back. It was a fascinating feeling from Lakis which seemed to go down from her neck, to her spine.

Yuri, was puzzled at the strange sensation that tickled her spine, it then stung her and Lakis broke free from her grasp. As her fingers were stinging, the fullness inside of her before, disappeared. Yuri’s face slowly returned to its original dry expression. In contrast, questions began to grow in her head. While Yuri was speechless, Lakis raised his hand and held it to his neck.

When he tried to speak, his throat was sore again. But Yuri thought his reason for not speaking was something different.

‘You worm… Hey, what the hell did you do?’

Lakis gritted his teeth and moved wildly. Then a voice of bewilderment burst into his head.

—I don’t know either! Why did I do that just now?

Lakis’ blue eyes gleamed savagely.

—It just felt so weird! Her hands, somehow, they’re so… I don’t know how to explain it, but it’s weird, so…

The voice kept rambling on. The reason for this was because of what happened before half a century ago. The Crazy parasite used it’s powers at will without Lakis’ permission.

It was when he told the woman in front of him to let go of his hand. At that moment, Lakis noticed the power being arbitrarily carried out in his voice, regardless of what he had done. One of the powers of the fragments in Lakis was the ability to manipulate other people’s souls. But this force had a deadly tendency to leak out and he despised it a lot since a long time ago. But now this fucking parasite…

Of course, Yuri, of course, didn’t know his circumstances. Once again, Lakis, who cursed the voice inside his head, stood up and sat down. However, given that he was weakened, it was already too much to move his body. On Lakis’ face, the shaking figure that had been seen by Yuri a little while ago was completely removed.

However, the fire still lingered on his ears, which were revealed behind a pushed back piece of hair. A sudden realization passed through Yuri.

‘Oh, is he mad because I suddenly took hold of him?’

Well, what’s done is done.

He was already in bad shape, but a woman who he had never met before suddenly attacked him…

Besides, holding hands and intertwining them together…

‘Oh, my God.’

After a fresh reminder of what she had done, she thought it was a disaster. She was convinced that as an extra, being slaughtered by the furious sub-villain was possible. Yuri apologized again because she thought she had made a mistake a little while ago.

“I just……I’m sorry for interrupting your sleep. It was unintentional. I’m sorry I must have offended you.”

She walked back a couple of steps to distance herself from Lakis, who was sitting on the sofa, holding his knee. At the next moment, his eyes fluttered in front of her.

Only

“Well…”

Lakis opened his mouth and paused. Later, he reached out to the table beside him. On top of it, was a paper and pen. He picked it up.

‘Did I have that in my house?’ Yuri wondered. Maybe he found it somewhere near the sofa. Lakis scrawled ink on the paper.

[It’s OK]

That’s what it said on the paper he showed Yuri a moment later. Behind it, she saw scrapped words that said ‘never displeased’.

Yuri was a little surprised because the reaction of the villain, was much more gentle than she thought. Of course, Lakis’ slightly red ear was telling Yuri that his anger had not been completely washed away. Lakis lowered his head again and wrote on the paper.

[It’s a little late for me to say but, Hello. I couldn’t go to the treatment center due to some circumstances. Thank you for your help.]

Seeing this strong urge to start a conversation, it seemed that she had overstated his situation a little while ago. Lakis didn’t add any other excuses or false statements about his situation. That’s what Yuri knew about the Lakis Avalon in the novel.
