"Why aren't there any good wedding songs?"

Sharon Mendez frowned with her eyes glued to her laptop's screen. She had been trying hard to find a good wedding song for her wedding next month for the last hour.

But she had found nothing.

There were songs that she found quite nice, but she was someone who only wanted things that looked perfect to her, and none of the songs she found were nice enough for her.

She and her boyfriend had been together for four years now, and when he had proposed to her, her joy was boundless.

But at that time, she hadn't realised how hard it would be to plan her wedding. There were so many things to do, and she was already behind schedule.

In this case, she really wanted to get the wedding song over, but it was taking too much time. Moreover, it was not something she could skim over.

Her first dance with her boyfriend needed to be special. As she was scrolling through MeTube, she suddenly got a text from one of her friends.

[Sharon, have you found a wedding song yet?]

She quickly replied that she was still looking for one, and like she was waiting for it, her friend promptly sent her a link to a song.

[Try it. My friend went to a wedding and sent me this. It's a beautiful song, and I think you will like it.]

Not having a choice, she quickly opened up the link, which directed her to another MeTube video. The channel name was 'Aiden Silvereye', which she guessed was the singer's name.

"Hold on to me. Interesting."

Sharon muttered and started listening to the song. A soft and sweet melody immediately entranced her as the singer started to speak, and by the end of the first verse, her face was already smiling.

A couple was dancing slowly to the song on the screen, and Sharon could already imagine her and her boyfriend doing something similar.

'This is perfect. It's so good!'

She thought as her eyes sparkled. After the song finished, she looked at the song's views and realised that it was not a lot.

Even the subscriber count of the channel was low.

'5k views. Well, he posted it yesterday but still, like this, this song won't get a lot of views.'

She thought, checking up on Aiden's profile. Sharon was a beauty and fashion influencer with over 5 million followers on Skygram. She wondered if she could help the song get more views with her large following.

Even before, some of the songs that she has recommended to her followers had gotten a lot of traction.

"I needed something to post today anyway. This song will work great!"

Muttering that, she opened up her Skygram account and posted the link to the song with the caption, "I found this beautiful song today, and I'm going to use it in my wedding!"

Two days later, three young girls were in a cafe just talking with each other. Their lectures had just ended for them, and they would always hang out in the cafe after that.

"The lecture was very boring," A brown-haired girl, Mia, sighed. "I don't really enjoy these history lectures."

"I like them, though. The professor is slow, but it's somehow fun to know how people fuck each other over in the past. History is all about that."

The other girl, Sara, who had a tattoo on the back of her right hand, replied. Like that, they were talking among themselves, but suddenly, they realised that their other friend was a bit quiet today.

Turning towards their friend, Eloise, they realised that she was too engrossed in her phone to focus on the conversation. However, there were headphones on her ears, so she was probably listening to something.

Frowning, Mia nudged her shoulder and asked.

"What are you listening to?"

"Oh, it's just a viral song. It got over a million views in two days, and they are constantly increasing. Every famous influencer is planning to use this song in their videos, especially the female ones."

"What's the name of it?"

Sara asked, a bit curious after hearing Eloise's reply.

"It's called 'Hold onto me'. It's lovely. Makes me want to marry when I'm single."

Mia chuckled and took her phone from her hands to look at the song at that weird description. Then, suddenly, she was surprised when she noticed the guy on the screen.

"Isn't that Aiden?"

"You know him?"

"Yes, he was a contestant on X-Star, but he got eliminated, and after that, many people were saying that he was the heart of the show and it was unfair," Mia explained. "It seems like he's now running a MeTube channel."

Both Eloise and Sara knew Mia was a fan of reality shows, especially X-Star. Although they weren't interested in them, they had heard a lot about them from Mia.

"Yeah, he's pretty lucky. His song went viral right after he was eliminated. His subscriber count has already reached 500k."

Eloise said, feeling a bit happy as the song had already made her a fan of Aiden.

"Let me listen to it."

Sara said, taking over the phone. Hearing the conversation, she had gotten curious about the song.

Like her, many people didn't know about Aiden, but as the song went viral, more and more people were getting to know about him.

It was almost like a wildfire.

After a famous Influencer posted about the video, many had tried to copy her to get views using the same song and because of this pattern, 'Hold onto me' went viral.

Especially with the female audience, the love song was something that clearly affected their hearts.

Most of them listened to it, and many were already selecting it for their wedding. Some were even looking for the original singer who had sung the song to perform at their wedding.

The Actors Guild of America was pretty much the standard organisation whose primary job was to protect the rights of the actors. Other than that, there were also the Screenwriters Guild and the Directors Guild.

Currently, Aiden was sitting in the office of an agent assigned to him by the guild.

He had gotten the role he had auditioned for two days ago. When he had first heard the news, he was quite literally over the moon. After all, it was his first role after two years of struggling in America.

It was very special for him.

Moreover, he knew that the role wasn't an extra by the audition. He would have lines, and Aiden even wished that it would be close to a supporting role in his heart.

"For your role, Zero International will pay 70k dollars. The shooting period is 20 days, taking place in Australia. Leave your address here. You will get the flight tickets in two days and depart for Australia in a week."

The agent, William Smith, explained to him in a monotonous tone. The guild has assigned him to Aiden because the latter didn't have any own agent.

So, William was his temporary agent.

"I'm fine with that much money."

Although he said that, in his heart, he was pleased. He had never earned so much money in such a short time.

"You should be. It's a nice price for a newbie like you." William said, then pointed to some of the contract clauses that were on the table. "You need to keep your mouth shut regarding any details in the movie until the release. It's a fundamental confidentiality clause."

"What about this?"

Aiden pointed at one of the clauses, and William shook his head, frowning.

"It's a clause stating that you need to maintain your image for an amount of time before and after the movie's release. For example, once a movie failed because one of the supporting characters got caught harassing an underaged girl. This gave a terrible reputation to the movie."

Aiden just nodded at those words with a blank expression. He was not the type to cause any scandals. At least not on the level of harassing a child.

"Any questions?"

"When will I get my payment?"

"The production will give an advanced payment as soon as you sign the contract. Then you will get the rest after the shooting."

Aiden smiled, thinking of the money. At that moment, William looked like he was thinking of something.

"You are pretty lucky, kid."

"What do you mean?" He asked with an inquiring gaze.

"[Shadows of War] is pretty highly anticipated as it's a war movie. The Oscars love these movies. If you don't know, Zero International is known to do great commercial projects, so if you do a nice enough job, you will get a few more jobs. Unfortunately, though, most actors like you just throw it away. Some are unlucky enough to have all their scenes get edited out."

Saying all that, William finished it with a smirk.

"Good luck, and don't come to me if you need help. I get many actors like you, so you can understand how busy I'm."

At those rude words, Aiden chose to stay silent. He already knew how some agents could be very mean to the newbies.

'I'm a newbie for now. Won't always be.'

He just thought that in his mind and began to carefully read the contract.
