His voice was pleasant, but his words were as sharp as a knife. If he had said this to other little girls, they must be very angry or lost their self-esteem and lowered their head out of shame. However, Gu Xijiu did not even care and was still standing there calmly while looking back at him.

Di Fuyi took a glance at her again, and with his teasing face yet relatively gentle voice, he said, "Are you the one who claims to have received a gift from the gods?"

"Yes, I received some of my skills from someone in my dream. I think it’s a gift from heaven." Gu Xijiu replied somewhat subtly.

Meanwhile, Long Siye glanced at Gu Xijiu before he turned towards Di Fuyi and spoke, "It is unlikely that she has received a gift from heaven... but…but…perhaps somebody knew she was good and might have taught her some medicinal skills and kungfu in her dream. She’s still young and doesn’t know the differences between these two. Therefore, she could have been mistaken."

Di Fuyi laughed in a slightly sluggish manner before saying, "I can’t believe that you are helping somebody to speak today. Is there something between Overlord Long and her?"

Long Siye was expressionless and calmly replied, "Nothing, I just think that she could be a good student and wanted her as my disciple."

"You dare to keep a child who had been bestowed with a heavenly gift?" Di Fuyi smiled faintly.

"As I’ve said, she might not have received anything from heaven." Long Siye insisted.

"Whether she has received the gift or not, it’s my responsibility to verify, not yours." Di Fuyi smiled gracefully and though his voice was rather gentle, what he said was not. "Since she said she had received it, I must test her. If she truly is the disciple who received a gift from the gods, you cannot keep her as your disciple. If she is not, she has sinned and all her external abilities must be removed. She will be thrown into the Dark Forest where survival will depend on her luck. Hence, you still can’t keep her as your disciple."

Long Siye wrinkled his brows, "Celestial Master Zuo, she’s still a kid! Why must you kill all?"

Di Fuyi said indifferently, "On this Starry Crescent Land, even a kid should know not to use the term ‘gift from the gods’. As she has said it, she has to bear the responsibility."

"Yes, yes, that’s right." Rong Chu interrupted. "There was an eight-year-old kid who used to talk tactlessly and told everyone that he received a gift from the heavens. He was tested fake by Celestial Master Zuo, and all his external abilities were immediately removed. He was then thrown into the Dark Forest. Celestial Master Zuo cannot be irresponsible. Overlord Long, I think you should stand aside and let Celestial Master Zuo do his work. Perhaps, she is telling the truth."

His father, the emperor, stepped in before he could finish what he wanted to say, "Rong Chu, shut up! How could you interrupt Celestial Master Zuo and Overlord Long when they are talking?"

Rong Chu was speechless, "…" He broke out in cold sweat.

Celestial Master Zuo despised anyone who simply interrupted his conversations. There was a hearsay that a duke from the Zhaoyang Kingdom used to talk with a loud voice when Celestial Master Zuo was speaking, and his tongue was cut in half. Up to today, that duke could only babble.

As Rong Chu recalled this, his forehead broke out in even more sweat, and he could not help but look at Di Fuyi apologetically! Rong Chu was nervous and subconsciously took a step back.

Di Fuyi laughed and said, "Fourth Prince, you must have been blessed with success recently, haven't you? Do you think that you have the honor to become an emperor and feel that you are going to be of the same status as I am? Is that why you speak without much deliberation?"
