Chapter 158: I brought both

It wasn’t only Dohyuk who helped the citizens. As the people ran out of the pillar, the pillar melted onto the ground immediately. It then began spreading across the ground, covering the entire area to nullify the mana-sucking effect of the region. All of this was allowed by the metals they collected from Mayhab’s region which was controlled by Blass.

“It’s a fair game now.”

Dohyuk smiled and kicked the leader in front of him who was dumbfounded. As the body was thrown into the sky, Dohyuk jumped up higher than the body and kicked it back down to the ground.

“Blass,” Dohyuk whispered, and the pillar soared from the ground. Dohyuk then kicked the pillar as he fell to push him against the leader vampire on the ground to deliver his third blow.

He kicked his head and saw the head flung helplessly as his entire body was thrown upward and fell. But it stood back up right away, and Dohyuk wasn’t surprised. He had been expecting this.

“You probably guessed, but I didn’t intend to do this.”

“…”

“I didn’t know it was going to end this quickly. That one was the strongest one here, right? He was standing dumbfounded in front of me like that. He shouldn’t have done that.”

The vampire was not the leader vampire anymore. Vehume had taken control over the body.

“…It seems like you learned a few tricks from Blass.”

There was probably more options for Vehume to attack Dohyuk. But Dohyuk had eliminated all choices to one. His third blow wasn’t just a kick. It wielded Kasha’s flame that was too intense in terms of heat for vampires to withstand. Vehume had to intervene to save his life. He couldn’t lose his best fighter in the region or he else would lose the chance to finish Dohyuk.

“Is he here too?”

“If you are talking about Blass, yes.” Dohyuk nodded. Blass had a metal body, but he could only move within his labyrinth. With one way to expand the labyrinth, Blass now had more freedom.

“But you know him better. He was too eager to join in on kicking your ass.”

“…Doesn’t matter. It’s better that way.” Vehume said as he crouched, “Today is a good day. I will get to kill two of you at once.”

Then something ripped out of his back. There was a giant wing which was covered with bloody skin.

“Haha. That’s very cheesy…”

Before Dohyuk can finish, something other than a wing began sprouting out from the body.

“…or not.”

These were arms with sharp claws. About 20 arms were now squirming outside the body.

Arms were sprouting from the eyes and even from the mouth. But in the end, at the palm of each hand, there were mouths all over each one. They all had tongues and sharp fangs.

“I will…”

All the mouths spoke in unison.

“Suck everything out from you.”

“…!”

Dohyuk backed away. Then, he was bleeding from his eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and even from the pores of his skin…

“Ugh… I… see…”

Dohyuk fell to his knees. It was the power that God Vehume had.

“Foolish human.”

There was no exception if the being had blood running through the veins.

“If you knew I was going to control this body, you should’ve come with Blass. At least that poor fool gave up on his own body to fight me.”

The blood began to pour out severely and as the blood touched the ground, it was absorbed immediately.

“Or at least…”

“B-bring so-something… to defend this…? I k-know.”

Dohyuk reached out. Vehume readied to flap his wing to fly up. He knew about Dohyuk spitting out giant structures already, but Dohyuk did not spit any giant thing. Instead, it was a small metal bag. The bag dropped and opened up, in which Dohyuk snatched something from it.

Vehume felt it right away. A pure white coat. As Dohyuk placed it over his body, Vehume couldn’t suck any blood out from Dohyuk at all.

“What is…”

He couldn’t understand what it was. The system of Casita didn’t show the name or rank of the item. Seconds later, when Vehume realized that its surface looked like a bird’s feather, he knew that it was actually from the feather of an angel.

“…YOU! How did you get hands on that…!”

“You don’t need to know,” Dohyuk answered and pulled up one of the sleeves. The arm was covered in metal. It was the mysterious change that was brought upon his body after Blass became his follower. Dohyuk now knew what it could do.

The metal began to shape itself into a sharp blade.

“I just wanted to check what it’s like.”

A monster created by a god — he had fought such a thing against Mayhab, but he wanted to feel the difference between an enemy fighting with pure force and an enemy using indirect attacks.

Dohyuk then lunged toward Vehume. Vehume tried to defend against the ‘slashing’ attack by crossing his arms, but Dohyuk didn’t care and still swung his arm. It wasn’t a slashing attack.

“Of course, I brought both.”

“…?!”

Vehume couldn’t understand why the blade was churning even before it struck him. And what it spat out was not a weapon, but a human figure.

“Long time no see.”

Blass greeted him as he jumped out from Dohyuk’s arm. The metal that covered Dohyuk’s arm was a form of transportation for Blass who could only act within the range of his labyrinth.

A shield against the power of Vehume.

And the weapon to use against.

As Vehume said, Dohyuk had brought both methods to fight.

Blass threw his fist and it ripped away all those arms blocking it and struck Vehume’s stomach.

The Vampire God screamed in pain.
