The sun was shining when we finally got out of the dungeon.

“Kuuhh~~ we’re finally back! Natural sunlight is the best!”

“You worry too much.”

“Fer should worry a little more! That dungeon was too harsh and crazy!”

“Was it really harsh, though?”

Ugh, that smug smile…

““Harsh? You mean fun, right? Right?””

“”Fun~~ fun~~””

“Indeed, the dungeon was quite enjoyable.”

“Fufufu…”

Gunununu… well, I’m glad you all found it fun. I’m just glad I didn’t die in there…” I muttered.

“A-alive, we made it out alive…”

“Aahh, as expected, it is good to be alive…”

“It is a wonderful time to be alive.”

“Living… is good…”

Just take a look at the [Ark] shedding tears of joy at being alive! As expected, the abnormal one is not me but you guys!!

*Sob*

As expected, that dungeon was too harsh for normal people…

Any party going there could only hunt around the entrance. If they ever managed to get to the other floor, they would be faced with that huge, overwhelming and completely unreasonable sea! It’s not a dungeon that could be overcome by a regular team…

Let’s not think about it anymore.

“Hey, don’t you think we should return to Rokainen?”

The members of the [Ark] nodded eagerly.

My familiars appear reluctant to leave, but I pretended not to see anything and made sure to hustle everyone onto Grandpa Gon’s back for the flight to Ronkainen.

GG Airways landed on the same clearing just outside of Ronkainen.

Once there, we all hopped off Grandpa Gon’s back. Even Gideon and Siegwald-san managed to jump off with relative ease. It was completely different from that time when Gaudino-san and I had to practically roll them off.

When asked about it, this was their reaction.

Gideon: Well, I realised during the dungeon challenge that there are many more terrifying things in life than flying in the sky.

Siegwald: Such things no longer faze me.

Both were gazing into the distance as they spoke.

“… um, well, good?” I coughed and said, “Shall we make our way to Ronkainen now?”

Umu, food first.”

“I would certainly prefer to have some food first…”

““Food!! Food!!””

“”Hungry~~ Sui is hungry~~””

“In that case, shall we rent out that mansion in Ronkainen again?”

“We have no more business in that city, right? Let’s just eat here,” Fer said as he sat his furry bottom down firmly.

“Indeed, we could return to Carelina right away after our meal,” said Grandpa Gon.

“No, that is, we have to stop by Ronkainen’s Adventurer Guild first to let them know we’re flying out. Don’t you remember what happened the last time we flew without making a report? Th-that’s right, there’s also the unregistered dungeon. We must report the unregistered dungeon! Didn’t you say that Adventurers are obligated to report unregistered dungeons?!”

“Ahh…”

[1] For some reason, Gaudino-san looked a little nervous. His eyes were darting around before fixing on a point behind me. However, when I look behind me, there was only Fer licking his paw and Grandpa Gon (now in a much more manageable form) staring at the sky.

“W-well, technically, the dungeon is located outside of Ronkainen, and some people from the group of small countries alreadyknow about it. So, it’s probably under the jurisdiction of the Adventurer’s Guild that looks after that area and…” said Gaudino-san.

“Oi, get to the point!”

“Wh-what I’m trying to say is that we can make the report on your behalf!” Gaudino-san blurted out.

“Oh?”

Umu,”

“You’d do that for me?” I was touched. “Oh wait, since we technically conquered the dungeon together, don’t I have to report too? Ah, looks like I’d have to rent a place at Ronkainen after all…”

“We can do that for you too!” Gideon-san cried. “I mean, technically we also completed the dungeon, right?”

The rest of the [Ark] members nodded their heads vigorously. Wow, these people are so helpful.

“Well,” I said, “If you don’t mind…”

“No, no, we don’t mind at all!”

“It’s the least we could do!”

“We are very happy to do this for you!”

Feodora-san just kept on nodding.

“Then, I’ll trouble you guys…”

“No, no, no trouble at all!”

“In that case, thank you very much for your help. Please also let them know that I will be riding Grandpa Gon back to Carelina too.”

“Of course, of course,”

“Speaking of completing a dungeon…” I opened up my [Item Box] got out the extra large magic bag we received as part of the Leviathan Drop and started putting the [Ark’s] share of the Drop items into it. Hehe, this way, I could also let them have the bag too~

“Wait, Mukouda-san?”

“Mukouda-san? You really don’t have to…”

“A-are you sure…?”

“… delicious food~”

Even as the [Ark] continued to protest, I continued to put things into the magic bag and say things like ‘No, no, you must’ and ‘No, no, you’re part of our team’ and finally, ‘please have this, I absolutely insist~’.

At the end of the day, I won. Hehe. I managed to push Gaudino-san into accepting the packed magic bag~~

“Well, see you again,” I chirped, having finally won a bargaining battle, hehe.

“Mukouda-san, thank you for your help and… just, thank you.”

“Yeah, it was great travelling with you and your familiars,”

“It was certainly… an eye-opening experience, with much delicious alcohol, hohoho…”

“Much delicious food…”

“Hahaha, if you happen to come by Carelina, I’ll make sure to treat everyone with plenty of delicious food and alcohol~” I promised as I waved at the [Ark].

“Oi, now that they are gone, make food.”

“Hey, do you have to ruin the atmosphere like that?” I grumbled.

“”Food! Food! Food!”

“”Food~ food~ food~””

“I am hungry as well, Master…”

“…fine, fine, since you’re all hungry, I’ll make something quick.”

Luckily, I already had some steak sandwiches in my [Item Box]. Perfect for a quick snack to shut them up before the trip back to Carelina.

Below is an excerpt of the dialogue between members of [Ark] as they made their way towards Ronkainen.

Gi: Yo there, leader. Why did you offer to make the dungeon report?

Si: I am curious as well. Isn’t it better for Mukouda’s S Rank team to do it?

Fe: Feels strange.

Ga: First, I offered to do it as a favour to Mukouda-san. He and his team are clearly not eager to return to the city. Moreover, do you think a report by someone who easily clears dungeons like Mukouda’s party would be of use to the Guild? In the first place, the reports are meant to help other parties understand the dangers involved so that they could minimise casualties and maximise success.

Gi: Ah.

Si: That makes sense, but I still feel like we’re taking credit for his party’s work.

Ga: Of course, we will also report that his party was the one that carried us through. The main reason why I wanted to make the report is to let people know just how dangerous that place truly is. I have a feeling that there will be too many Adventurers eager to challenge the dungeon once Mukouda gave his list of Drops and ignore the actual danger inherent to that place.

Gi: Ugh, I can see it happening.

Fe: We were eager too…

Si: I hate to admit it, but that place is too much for us to handle…

Gi: It would be a miracle if our party made it halfway through the first level…

Ga: That’s very true…

Eguchi Ren: Thus ends the small country dungeon arc. It’s finally finished. I have been very busy this year, so updates would probably take longer than usual. I will be taking a break for the rest of the year and resume updating on Jan 4th. Thank you for supporting Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi!

Gumihou: Woah, 2020 felt like so long ago, yet too recent at the same time.
