Chapter 154 – He heard her saying the exact same thing to the person that he disliked so much. “Big Brother Zhe, have a piece of candy.” (2)

Dragged all the way to the couch, Lin Yiyi was still very alarmed.

Her feeling about Lu Xun was complicated now.

She had a bit of fondness toward him earlier, but the thought of Meng Yuran and Meng Shanshan washed that all away.

Besides, there was barely anything more than the size of a fingernail between them. If she must say, they were practical strangers to each other.

“Zhe is the son of my older brother,” said Lu Xun. “My brother and his wife passed away in a car accident and Zhe is their only child. He can be a bit odd sometimes. Please excuse him.”

Even though he grumbled about his nephew all the time, the fact that he was willing to live with his nephew clearly showed that he did care very much about him.

Besides…

“Shengshi Entertainment was left behind by my brother. I am just standing in right now. Once Zhe becomes an adult, I plan to give the company to him and then I can be free from it…”

Having said that, he looked at Lin Yiyi and asked, “You, you will be okay with that, right?”

“No!”

Lu Xun, “……”

Lu Mingzhe was the prince of Shengshi Entertainment. Lin Yiyi was secretly mad at herself for not putting two and two together sooner.

Even when she visited Shengshi Entertainment in the past, she had completely forgotten that it had to do with the male lead.

How stupid was she to not be able to connect the dots between Shengshi Entertainment, the surname Lu, and “Zhe”?!

Lin Yiyi was so mad at herself as she thought about that.

Upstairs, Lu Mingzhe walked accurately to the room that had its door half opened.

Meng Yuran’s room was a bit American style with blue stripes.

It was clear, clean, and almost a bit grandeur. In front of the bay window, there was a dark blue desk.

Right now, he was sitting in front of his desk with his cellphone in one hand and the other one poking at it as he listened to the little girl giggling and talking, tapping only on his cellphone occasionally.

Meng Shanshan was sitting on his large bed.

Her two short legs dangled in the air swinging back and forth.

Lu Mingzhe wasn’t in a hurry to enter the room. He stood at the entrance and knocked on the half-opened room door.

His knocking caught the attention of the young man and the little girl.

Both of them turned and looked at him at the same time.

It was kind of awkward, really.

The two young men were not friendly with each other at all.

To the point that the last time the two ran into each other and one of them was being robbed, the other didn’t even think about helping. That could be called a pretty distant relationship.

Lu Mingzhe only took a couple steps into Meng Yuran’s bedroom before he sat down in a rocking chair to one side.

This was the only other chair in the room with the exception of the one that Meng Yuran was currently sitting on.

Meng Yuran’s look turned even colder after Lu Mingzhe had walked inside of his room.

There were people who just didn’t get along from the moment that they met, such as Lu Mingzhe and himself.

Lu Mingzhe shared that feeling as well, which was why he stayed as far away from Meng Yuran as possible.

The two of them wanted to avoid as much contact as possible.

Meng Shanshan looked over her brother, then turned to look at Big Brother Zhe, who was sitting the farthest away. She looked baffled.

The little girl’s thinking was very simple.

This Big Brother Zhe that she didn’t know was pretty. Almost as pretty as her brother…

She couldn’t help but take a few extra looks at him.

Suddenly, Meng Yuran called out to her, “Shanshan.” And pulled her thoughts back.

Meng Shanshan turned to look at her brother and saw that he didn’t look very happy. She blinked, baffled.

Whatever. Her big brother was unhappy every single day. She was already used to it by now.

That being said, she was a good little sister.

Meng Shanshan pulled out a lollipop from her pocket. With her melodiously soft and milky voice, she said, “Have a piece of candy, Big Brother.”

Meng Yuran’s look relaxed a little.

Immediately after that, he heard her saying the exact same thing to the person that he disliked so much. “Big Brother Zhe, have a piece of candy.”

Meng Yuran, “……”

His face was even darker than it was before!
