As the days passed, Ye Sui stayed in the hospital for a while, and every physical examination report indicated that she was now healthy.

Ye Sui was ready to be discharged. If there was any problem after returning home, she would be hospitalized immediately.

Ye Sui and Chen Shu decided to do one thing before they were discharged from the hospital, which was to go to the temple to fulfill a vow to a god. They both believed that she woke up because the gods were helping them.

When they arrived at the temple, the two reverently fulfilled their vows to the god. Before leaving, they knelt there again, facing the Buddha statue with their palms together.

They looked at the Buddha statues, at the same time and bowed their bodies together till they touched their heads on the ground.

Both of them closed their eyes, praying silently deep in their hearts, thanking the gods for letting them reunite again.

They would definitely cherish this reunion very much, destiny treats them well, and they would live their next of the days to their fullest.

After fulfilling their vows to the god, Yu Sui and Chen Shu were about to leave the temple when they inadvertently saw a woman standing next to the abbot. The woman was facing them with her back but it looked a bit familiar.

Ye Sui looked for a while and recognized this person. She was a little surprised and said, “Why is it Master Zhu?”

As soon as Chen Shu saw Master Zhu, he thought of the fact that Master Zhu’s master stabbed Ye Sui with a sword, which made her unconscious and separated the two of them for a long time.

Chen Shu’s complexion suddenly sank. Ye Sui knew his thoughts, so she squeezed his hand, and the two hands interlocked.

Chen Shu looked at Ye Sui and his complexion was slightly relaxed.

They started walking out of the temple. At that moment, the voice of Master Zhu suddenly rang behind them.

“Miss Ye Sui.”

Ye Sui stopped her footsteps. She turned around and looked behind her. Master Zhu was standing there. She looked at Ye Sui with a mixed feeling.

Ye Sui nodded politely: “Master Zhu.”

Master Zhu stepped forward and looked at Chen Shu, “President Chen.”

After that, Master Zhu looked at Ye Sui again, “You finally woke up, otherwise I would feel bad for the rest of my life.”

Ye Sui shook her head saying, “It was not your fault.”

Although the old master stabbed her, these things had nothing to do with Master Zhu. At that time, Master Zhu still wanted to prevent his master from killing the general ghost, but she didn’t succeed.

Master Zhu smiled bitterly and said, “That night, the old master stabbed you, he accidentally fell down the stairs, and he has not recovered until now.”

Ye Sui and Chen Shu were stunned, while Master Zhu continued, “The doctor said, my master’s feet should have healed long ago, but he still can’t stand up.”

Master Zhu looked at the Buddha statue and muttered, “Good and evil will eventually pay off. Maybe my master has done too many things that shouldn’t be done, so…”

Master Zhu didn’t finish her words, but Ye Sui already knew what she wanted to say, her master was getting what he deserved.

Master Zhu left, Ye Sui looked at Chen Shu, and said emotionally, “All things in the world are really impermanent.”

She blocked the sword of the old master for the general ghost, and fell into a coma because of that. But the heavenly master kills all ghosts regardless of whether they are good or evil.

Now that she had already woken up, but the old master still couldn’t walk anymore. That was really the cycle of karma, the world is ever changing.

Chen Shu also thought and felt emotional, his eyes moved slightly, he squeezed Ye Sui’s hand, and said a clear voice, “But we will definitely walk down together.”

Ye Sui and Chen Shu left the temple. The heat waves outside the temple were surging and the cicadas were chirping. However, the interior of the temple was not hot at all, even the air felt cold.

The summer sun sank, illuminating the ground outside, but didn’t shine into the temple. The temple fell into dark, but the Buddha statue seemed to be surrounded by a holy and clear light.

Pilgrims came and left, and the Buddha statue had been sitting there, looking compassionate and peaceful, as usual.

The day to be discharged from the hospital happened to be Ye Sui’s birthday.

After staying in the hospital for so long, Ye Sui couldn’t remember her birthday. She just thought that she could finally go home after she gets discharged from the hospital.

The car drove to the villa area, Ye Sui got out of the car, and Chen Shu followed her closely, fearing that she couldn’t walk steadily. The familiar house was in front of her, she entered the password and opened the door.

Sunlight was shining from behind chasing away the darkness, and a bright beam of light quickly reflected inside.

Strangely, the room was completely dark.

It was obviously day time, why draw the curtains?
