Chapter 139: She’s Back! (3)

He looked down and picked out some of the best flowers. After being paid, the little girl started leaving. Though, the little girl walked a few steps and then glanced back.

Chen Shu picked up the flower he just bought. He bent down and placed the flower gently on the ground. He appeared to be muttering few words to the flower with a gentle expression.

The little girl wondered, this elder brother was really strange, why did he put the flowers on the ground. She left in confusion.

Ye Sui looked at the flower, bent down and stroked the petals, her eyes were extremely complicated. Then she stood up and stared at Chen Shu.

Chen Shu walked under the eaves, but didn’t put away the umbrella. He was worried that Ye Sui couldn’t walk in with him and was stopped outside the temple.

Chen Shu looked to the side, and asked worriedly, “Have you come in?”

Ye Sui looked at Chen Shu’s expression, and smiled. She looked at the top of the umbrella, gently stood on tiptoe, raising her hand to touch the switch of the umbrella, and pressed it.

With a “Click”, the umbrella closed.

Chen Shu felt relieved and he finally smiled, “You are right, even the Gods can’t stop you.” Ye Sui also looked at him and smiled.

There aren’t many pilgrims in the temple today. Compared to usual times, the temple was peaceful and quiet, so Chen Shu walked in quickly.

The abbot came over and glanced at Chen Shu’s black umbrella, his expression didn’t show any strangeness, “Benefactor Chen came here today because of what matters?”

Chen Shu glanced at the Buddha statue and said calmly, “I have a wish and I hope that the Gods can help me complete it.”

The abbot didn’t continue to stand, he looked at Chen Shu, “Benefactor Chen, please come with me.” The abbot led Chen Shu to the Buddha Statue, and then he left.

Chen Shu looked at the Buddha Statue and knelt down religiously while Ye Sui also followed him, kneeling not far away.

Chen Shu clasped his hands together and put them on his chest. He looked at the Buddha Statue and said seriously, “If there is a God in this world, hopefully he can fulfill one of my wishes.”

Chen Shu glanced at the air next to him. Through the air, he seemed to see Ye Sui’s face.

A smile appeared on the corners of his lips, and then he turned his head to look at the Buddha Statue, his tone was extremely sincere, as he spoke very seriously.

“I am willing to give my wife half of my lifespan and share my life with her.”

The person he cherished the most in his life was Ye Sui. If she wasn’t there, what would be the meaning of his life?

He was willing to pay any price in order for her to wake up, even if it was his own life. As life without her was meaningless. The matter had reached this stage, he had nothing to lose.

Ye Sui’s expression froze, she looked at Chen Shu with a face full of disbelief. He didn’t just come to the temple to beg for her to wake up, he had already made plans and wanted to share his life with her.

Ye Sui already knew that there were ghosts in the world, she herself was a ghost now, and there was a great possibility that Gods exist in this world.

In other words, if Chen Shu’s wish came true, he would really lose half of his life. No, she didn’t want him to do this.

Ye Sui forgot that Chen Shu’s yang energy would burn her, she rushed towards him desperately, trying to stop him. When her hand touched him, a sharp pain suddenly penetrated into her fingertips.

Ye Sui was in pain and let out an “ah” sound. She immediately retracted her hand, but her fingertips had become red and swollen. She smiled warily, she had forgotten that she couldn’t touch him.

Chen Shu’s voice was slow and clear, echoing into the empty air, “As long as my wife can wake up, I am willing to do anything.”

Tears fell from Ye Sui’s eyes, she shook her head and looked at Chen Shu with tears, “Stop talking, I don’t want you to share your life, I want you to live well….”
