Chapter 12.1 : Took His Button
Ye Sui squatted beside Chen Shu, watching him picking up the debris on the ground silently. While seeing him picking up the debris, she could tell from his expression that he was somewhat troubled after hearing what she said before. Ye Sui couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty. In addition, Chen Shu had to clean up the trouble she had caused.
Prick—
The debris made a subtle noise on the ground. Ye Sui glanced helplessly at Chen Shu who took back his injured hand, unperturbed as he changed to the other hand.
Chen Shu didn’t even lift his head as he minded his own business and kept on picking up the debris. And his expression did not change a bit, as if he wasn’t injured in the beginning.
“You’re hurt,” Ye Sui pointed at Chen Shu’s injured hand.
“Oh,” He said lightly.
That’s it? Ye Sui watched the blood flow down from his hands. Did Chen Shu really only say ‘oh’? Was that all? Ye Sui did not relent and reminded Chen Shu again, “Your hand is bleeding.”
Chen Shu did not lift his head again this time and only said faintly, “Just a minor injury.”
Ye Sui’s anger suddenly flared up. She boldly grabbed Chen Shu’s arm and dragged him up. “Come with me, I’ll help you dressed the wound.”
Chen Shu was stunned for a moment, on the other hand, he could only stand up. Otherwise, no matter how Ye Sui tried to force him, it would be impossible to pull Chen Shu up.
Ye Sui pulled Chen Shu all the way to the sofa ahead. She stood on her tiptoes and pushed her hands on Chen Shu’s shoulders. “Sit down and don’t move.”
Chen Shu sat obediently and did not refute. He looked at Ye Sui as she pulled out a small box from the drawer in the living room, not aware how it got there, maybe Ye Sui put it there some time ago.
Ye Sui took out the disinfectant and gauze in the box and tugged Chen Shu hand firmly. She lowered her head as she started to clean his wound.
The wound was small but deep. When Ye Sui poured disinfectant on the wound, Chen Shu didn’t even knit his brows.
Ye Sui moved quickly as she wrapped the gauze around his hand. When She looked up, she did notice that Chen Shu’s wisdom line** was connected to the emotional line and passed through the palm of his hand.
(T/N: Chinese palm reading – Link
Commonly known as “broken palm.”)
It is said that a man who has a broken palm will be calm and successful in his career. But when Ye Sui caught a glimpse at Chen Shu’s face, it didn’t seem to be so.
After Ye Sui finished wrapping up the gauze, she instructed Chen Shu to pay attention and take precautions before returning to her room.
———
Two days later, Ye Sui waited specially for Chen Shu to go out before leaving the room. She was going to shoot a movie today, so she would be far away from Chen Shu and she would not be at ease not to hold anything from Chen Shu.
Ye sui first checked the living room. Then slowly pushed the door of his bedroom, this was the first time Ye Sui saw the appearance of the room.
Clean and concise, just like Chen Shu.
But these were not what Ye Sui paid attention to, she scanned the whole room, finally locking her eyes on his closet.
Chen Shu had so many clothes. He wouldn’t one or two buttons missing, would he?
Like a thief, Ye Sui randomly picked one of Chen Shu’s white shirts and took the last button on the shirt.
Ye Sui carefully restored the things as they were, then left with precious button and went to the filming site in the city to start her work.
《Crown Prince》was a web novel adapted into a TV drama. Ye Sui played the female princess, who was the 3rd supporting role and was unruly and willful. In the eyes of the public, it was not pleasing. She was only a minor star without enough fame and was able to participate in such a big drama. Even though she was minor star, she still needed to act properly in front of the viewers.
After Ye Sui changed into her red costume, she sat on the set waiting for the director to call her. Now it was the lead actors turn, and other actors had to wait. Some actors even had to wait for a whole day for their part in the drama and still didn’t get called to shoot.
When Ye Sui was sitting while reading the script, she felt a cold look coming from the nearby woods. She put aside the script, looked up and froze.
What is that???
The woman standing under the tree had a Qitou** hairstyle. Her fan-shaped hair was a little messy as some of the inlaid ornaments on it had fallen down, leaving it bare. Her coronet was in good condition and she was tidying up her clothes and seemed to be very concerned about her image.
T/N: “Qitou” (hair of the Manchu nobility) or “Jingtou” (hair of the capital) tying the hair on the top of the head, plaiting it into a shape of swallowtail, letting the long hair hang on the back neck, and putting a fan-shaped hair coronet on it.
Ye Sui realized that the thing she was most afraid of was coming! How could there also be Qing Dynasty ghosts on this set!?!
To be continue…..
