Chapter 41: It Is All Right, Don’t Be Afraid (3)
A loud crash fell into the silent night, and it continued over and over.
Ye Sui frowned. “Chen Shu, if the door does not open, please send someone.”
A door only separated Chen Shu and Ye Sui. The voice of Ye Sui was obvious, but Chen Shu did not answer. He just banged on the door lock as if he were afraid of something.
Ye Sui felt strange, Chen Shu was not such an impulsive character, his behavior was indeed odd. However, no matter how Ye Sui called him, Chen Shu was unmoved.
Chen Shu just mechanically repeated his actions over and over again. After smashing more than a dozen times, the door lock crashed with a clash and landed on the floor.
The outside voice stopped and returned to silence. The door was closed, and Ye Sui flung open the door.
The light was on in the room, but the light outside was dark. Ye Sui saw Chen Shu standing in the darkness of the room.
Ye Sui stood in the bright place, forming a strong contrast with Chen Shu.
Chen Shu had no emotion between his brow and eyes. He stood where he was, and his eyes fell straight on Ye Sui. Nevertheless, did not step forward, it seemed that he had exhausted all his strength.
It was autumn, and the temperature was slightly lower, but Chen Shu’s forehead was covered with a thin layer of sweat.
Ye Sui lowered her eyes and saw Chen Shu’s hand carrying the stool. Because it was too hard, the web between the thumb and forefinger of a hand opened, and blood trickled down his fingers.
The cuff of his white shirt was stained with red blood and kept flowing. Even so, Chen Shu seemed unaware of it. He just stood straight without any movement.
“Chen Shu?” Ye Sui called Chen Shu, Chen Shu did not respond.
Ye Sui went up to him and stood in front of Chen Shu. She held out her hand and put down the stool on Chen Shu’s hand.
Next, Ye Sui tentatively stretched out her hand to hold Chen Shu’s bleeding hand. When she touched his hand, Ye Sui only felt the cold temperature of his hand.
Even if Chen Shu looked a little scary right now, but Ye Sui did not care much. She tried to wrap Chen Shu’s hand with her own, trying to pull him out of this state.
Chen Shu only felt that there was a little light in front of him. The light seemed to fall, and the next second, someone seemed to hold his hand.
Chen Shu was wandering eyes slowly focus. He lowered his head slightly and saw Ye Sui clutching his hand.
There was a sharp pain in the split hand, but Chen Shu felt only numbness in his arm, and he could not feel the pain.
From Chen Shu’s point of view, he could only see the hair of Ye Sui, but could not see her expression, but he seemed to be able to imagine it.
Chen Shu wanted to say something, then Ye Sui suddenly took another half step forward and put his head on her shoulder.
Ye Sui had found something was wrong. With her hand gently on Chen Shu’s back, she could feel Chen Shu’s tight back relaxing gradually.
Was Chen Shu afraid she was trapped inside? Chen Shu looked very unhappy when she was in a dark and airtight space. Why?
Did he has experienced anything like this before?
Ye Sui did not ask anything. She seemed to recall when Chen Shu was sleepwalking that night, as fragile as an injured child.
Ye Sui patted Chen Shu on the back and coaxed him carefully. In the dim light of night, her voice was surprisingly gentle, bringing the helpless Chen Shu back to reality gradually.
“It is all right, don’t be afraid.”
