When he thought of this, he actually had no idea how to answer. His ears were blushed slightly red as he buried his head down, eating his sweet potato. He even disregarded his image and ate the skin as well, swallowing it all down. He said, “Sweet potatoes are pretty nice.”

Tuantuan reached out to grab his ears and twisted them 180 degrees before huffing, “You’re slick, Papa! You avoided my question! Tuantuan is angry now! Tuantuan is gonna ignore Papa for two hours!”

She still had sweet potato on her hands. When she took her hands back, Lu Ting’s ear felt sticky.

Tuantuan puffed her cheeks like a puffer fish but she was a woman of her word. Sure enough, she turned to the side and ignored him.

At the stables.

After listening to the director’s rambling, the two actresses took their horses and led them a few steps forward.

The cameras were in place, and the two got on their horses separately.

Lin Yueqi had been living in the mountains since she was a child so she was no stranger to horses. However, the warmblood horses from the crew were taller than the mountain-running horses they had back home that they used to transport goods. They looked so beautiful that Lin Yueqi couldn’t keep her hands off them.

Lin Yueqi always believed horses to be spiritual creatures and she liked such animals a lot.

After the clapper board came down, Lin Yueqi cracked her whip and galloped out. The hearty ride reflected vividly in her senses.

Qin Xue was unwilling to lag behind and also cracked her whip.

This scene was a race between the female lead and supporting female lead. Due to the fact that horse riding is relatively dangerous, the director suggested they use stunt doubles for the faraway shots so there was no need for them to actually ride a horse.

However, Qin Xue insisted to ride and even shot a provocative glance at Lin Yueqi.

Lin Yueqi laughed mockingly in her heart.

What’s with that look? What, is she looking down at her for being a country kid who doesn’t know how to ride a horse? She has never actually ridden an English noble horse, but she has ridden many of the native Chinese mountain ponies, as well as mules.

Lin Yueqi accepted her challenge.

Her wanting to stay ascetic with her was her own business, but she couldn’t allow her to violate the dignity of a country kid, right? She was the light of the village after all.

However, before Lin Yueqi had even advanced more than a hundred meters after cracking her whip, the mount of Qin Xue who was behind her suddenly had a shock and began running in circles.

The horse turned a few circles and nearly threw Qin Xue off her back. The staff noticed that something was wrong and they quickly went over to calm the horse.

Lin Yueqi heard a movement from behind and she reined her horse so she could turn back to look.

Qin Xue was so shocked that she clutched onto the reins and screamed as she laid down on the horse’s back. “Lin Yueqi! What did you do to my horse?! I—Ah—”

Horses are spiritual animals. Qin Xue had strong negative energy on her and this was pressing down on the horse severely. That’s why it switched on its self-protective mechanisms and tried to drop this heavy mass of negative energy off its body.

“???” Lin Yueqi pointed at her with her folded whip and said, “Hey don’t just come at me. Talk properly, what did I do to your horse?”

Qin Xue’s horse was still spinning in circles and the horse lifted its hind legs to kick the two staff members who rushed over.

Only

Lin Yueqi really felt sorry for them.

She giddied her horse and rode her steed in a slow gallop towards her before stopping a short distance away. She spun her whip in the air before swinging it towards Qin Xue’s horse, latching onto the reins of Qin Xue’s horse and clutching it in her hands.

She took Qin Xue’s horse for a gallop around the track and the manes of the two horses danced in the air as they ran with vigor.

When she saw Qin Xue at a complete loss at the horse’s back, she deliberately sped up. Since Qin Xue’s upper body was on the horse’s back, the area of impact for the vibration was huge and her guts felt like it was churning.

Once they reached the end, Lin Yueqi got off her mount.

As she was closest to Qin Xue, she extended a gentlemanly hand to Miss Qin Xue who was on the horse’s back.

Qin Xue was nearly on the verge of vomiting. When she stepped off the horse’s stirrups, she was going to take Lin Yueqi’s hand and get down with her help, but unexpectedly, Lin Yueqi withdrew her hand and stepped back.

Qin Xue’s center of gravity was unsteady and she slipped off, landing face-first on the ground.
