Inside the Colosseum.

From the huge blue portal, a light flashed and a silhouette landed before the portal carrying the crystal.

Those who are eliminated will be sent out of the dungeon with a white flash while those who have managed to get their hands on crystals will be ejected from the dungeon with a blue flash of light.

As the light, disappeared, he fall onto his knees and coughed.

His body had many bruises and scratches with many cuts on his body. Even after being injured, he held the crystal near his bosom as if he was afraid of someone stealing it.

"Ohhh, Roan. I can't believe you made it."

Roan heard the voice and looked ahead to see Fredrick and Parth coming toward him.

Seeing him qualifying for the round, they congratulate him and advised him to go to the infirmary.

"No, thanks. I will stay here presently. By the way, where is Lucas?" Roan asked as his eyes scanned around for Lucas.

Fredrick, Charles, Rose and Parth and many other contestants have already made it. Most of the elimination is already over but he couldn't see Lucas.

Hearing Roan's question both Fredrick and Parth frowned and sighed.

"Not only Lucas but no one had made out till now, out of Sanctum of Despondence. And also, haven't seen anyone coming out being qualified from there" Fredrick spoke with a worried tone.

"Wh...What?" Roan stuttered in his words and looked at Fredrick with a shocked expression

"I Don't know?" Both Fredrick and Parth spoke raising their hands.

"Is there a problem in the dungeon, like the entrance, is locked or something like that?" Roan asked with a solemn expression.

"I don't think so."

Everyone looked back at the source of sound to see Charles walking toward them.

"The staff didn't seem to be too troubled even though no one had come out. Sanctum of Despondence is one of the most mysterious dungeons and it is rarely used. Maybe the rules there are something different?" Charles explained.

"How can you be so sure?" Fredrick spoke raising his brows.

Charles on hearing Fredrick's question started to explain"Every time a person takes a crystal and qualifies, his performance would be displayed on the screen outside the dungeon for the audience to see. Look now it's Roan's turn."Charles spoke pointing his head at the large screen.

On the large screen, Roan's image was shown as he was fighting with a guy.

Roam used shield magic to defend and made the ground muddy and sticky, trapping the enemy and he cast a spell which made many vines wrap around the guy and locked him as the guy tried to free himself from the vines, finding the opportunity, Roan took the crystal and ran away.

"Unlike other dungeons, the scenes occurring in the sanctum can't be seen. I have heard about it. So, I assume that unless one can take 10 crystals at a time, the dungeon will not eject anyone. I don't know whether the information is correct or not. I have also heard a rumour that it is a boss-type dungeon and the participants have to defeat the boss. But I don't think it's true." Charles explained.

Hearing Charles's words, every one jaw dropped and they looked at him in awe.

"Cough...Cough.."

Clearing his throat, Fredrick asked Charles curiously" Charles, how did you know so much about it?"

"Fredrick, tell me the truth, you never touched a single book in the Frost library is it?" Charles asked with a serious expression.

Fredrick laughed bitterly and thought 'Who in the right mind would waste his time on the mountains of useless books that have been rotting in the library for centuries.'

"Did you think, the library is a showcase of a book and a place of decoration ?" Charles mocked.

Seeing, Fredrick's expression Charles facepalmed and spoke"If you have read it, you would have known about Sanctum of Despondence and how mysterious this dungeon is as observed in the history when previously people entered and narrated the events after escaping from it."

"It isn't like a normal dungeon. Instead of monsters, it is filled with the undead. Many people came up with an explanation that it may be part of the nether land and it has a rich death aura. The place can be said to be a paradise for necromancers." Charles explained.

"So, will Lucas be alright?" Roan asked in a worried tone.

"I think so. Let's just see what happens?" Charles spoke.

....

While the crowd erupted in cheers and was enjoying the scene of epic fights, the staff was filled with worry.

Ami and a few others walked toward the Vice Principal and asked.

"Vice-Principal, was it okay to do this?" They asked.

Josh didn't speak anything and raised his brows and looked at the huge red portal.

Red are always a sign of danger.

Ami took the lead and probed further"Vice-Principal, till now no one from the dungeon had been eliminated and it had been quite a long time. The preliminary round in the other dungeon is already over. Only the students from the sanctum are left."

Josh took a deep breath and sighed"I understand all of your worries but I wasn't the one who opened it. Even I was dumbfounded when it cropped out of nowhere."

"What!" Everyone exclaimed in surprise.

Till now, all the staff members were thinking that Vice-Principal was the one who selected it for the preliminary round but no hearing that he was not the one who did it made them speechless.

Their expression crumbled and a sudden worry filled their heart.

"Then who did this? Who has the authority over you to do this? There is only one person who had a higher authority than you but I haven't seen him for years" One of the staff asked.

"No, it's not the Principal. That old Foggie, only god knows where he is now. But the one who arranged this had similar authority and prestige like him." Josh replied and looked at the opening portal leading to the sanctum.

While many staffs mumbled among themselves and talked about who had authority similar to the Principal, they were not able to recall anyone.

They were just teachers from of horizon and they don't have any exclusive information on the inside. Still, a figure who is as popular as the Principal, they couldn't think of anyone or remembered anyone.

But Ami's eyes expression stiffened and she was shocked to its core.

There is only one person besides the Principal but he lives a secluded life in the castle and if he was the one who opened the sanctum then what were his goals.

Was he targeting someone or did he notice a talented individual and wanted to test him. She wasn't able to conclude.

There were many talented individuals with powerful bloodlines who had entered the Sanctum group so she wasn't able to point out any.

Ami wiped off the sweat from his forehead, hoping for her student's safety.

Her class had already lost, quite a several students, she doesn't want that more of her students die worthlessly.

Josh looked at Ami and others' worried expressions and shouted in a stern voice"All of you prepare yourself, if within one hour, no students don't exist from the portal, we will rescue enter and them."

...

Inside the Sanctum of Despondence, things started to get out of hand with the lich's appearance.

Lucas stared at the lich and looked at the army undead. The army of undead that the Lich summoned didn't look powerful and was on the weaker side.

The skeleton soldiers were weak with just one 1-Star of strength while the highest one seems to have early 2-Star strengths.

The undead is generally weaker than what their rank was. Though the army was full of weak undead, their number was nothing to scoff of.

Lucas scanned around to look for any strong ones but he didn't find any and breathed in relief.

Though there were many, there were no 3-Star and 70% of the army seemed to compose of 1-Star skeleton soldiers.

Seeing, the army nearing them, Lucas spoke.

"Briana as far as I remember, you are a mage and Lora seems to be a tanker, right?"

Both Briana and Lora nodded with a stiff expression.

"Than, let's do this. Briana uses the spells to crush them while Lora protects her." Lucas ordered in a commanding tone, leaving no room for refusal.

Briana and Lora nodded subconsciously. They felt if they wanted to get out of here, they should listen to Lucas.

Wilson heard their exchange and asked, "What will I do?"

Lucas turned back and looked at Wilson and spoke"I heard, you are good at creating havoc and pulling aggro."

Wilson nodded his head in satisfaction as if he had been showered with praises.

"Then, just let yourself loose and crush everything," Lucas ordered.

Wilson's eyes glowed as he finally found a fight where he can fight without caring about others. He was already in a sour mood after being controlled by that damned ghost or whatever and wasn't able to enjoy the fight.

He pulled back his sword into the ring and pulled out another great sword.

"Let's engage." Lucas assumed the role of a leader.

Briana on hearing, Lucas's command summoned a ball of fire in his hands and raised it over her head she shouted"Fire bazooka."

A huge pillar of fire descended onto the undead skeletons and turned them into ashes.

The entire room shone brightly and everyone that was caught by flames seemed to vaporize without leaving any remains of their bodies.
