~BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!~
After yet another devastating blow that rendered three Legrises instantly pulverized, Kuzon swiftly teleported to a safe distance, where he was met by two Legris who attempted to take advantage of him.
Used to the dance already, he swiftly eliminated them, deftly moving to higher and further ground to escape the incoming horde that desired to consume him.
Once he managed to escape their grasps, Kuzon keenly observed them, his golden eyes shining ever so brightly.
"Haaa… again, huh?"
In no time at all, the legion of Legrises was complete.
Kuzon had been playing this game for only about a minute now, but he was already tired of it. Fortunately, he was able to obtain more information—or rather, a confirmation of his current knowledge—concerning Legris' abilities.
'It seems twenty is his limit. That means if we can deal with all twenty of them, we should be good.'
Once he had confirmed all of this, the next thing he had to do was meet up with Edward.
~WHOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSHHHHHHH!!!~
Instantly, he took flight, his speed turning him into nothing but a blur of golden light.
Space parted, torn asunder by the tides that Kuzon made with his fluid, but firm motion. Behind him, he could see all the Legrises trying to catch up to him, but failing miserably.
He was still much faster than them, and space was currently too unstable for them to teleport to his position haphazardly.
'Plus, even if they ddi, I'd be able to sense the spatial distortions before they appear and deal with them accordingly.'
Kuzon already knew that this was how Legris always knew where he would be when he teleoirted, so it felt good that he could also use the same tactic against him.
In any case, they wouldn't be catching up to him anytime soon, and as a result of that, he pushed himself a notch further.
~WHOOOOOOSSSSSHHHHHHHH!!!~
*******
"Keuk!"
"Guarhk!"
"Heughhh!"
The sounds of broken bones and devastated cries echoed from Edward's position as he decimated his adversaries with his blade, fist, feet… heck, even his headbutt was painfully destructive to those who were unfortunate to receive them.
At the moment, Edward was constantly surrounded by the group of ten Legris Damiens, all of whom desired their pound of flesh.
Even in his Martial State, wielding his blade of unfathomable power, he could not get rid of them as easily as he wished.
At most, he could take down five in one strike, but that wouldn't solve the problem, just as Kuzon had told him.
'NO!' Kuzon swiftly shook his head as he brandished his blade, readying himself for the next volley of attacks.
Right now, he didn't need to worry about the complexities of the plan, nor the effectiveness of his own attacks.
'Right now, I just need to stand my ground and have faith in Kuzon!'
With that single thought, his blade shone brighter, and his muscles swelled in power. He could feel his Aether climbing as he watched his adversaries get closer.
As they did, Edward wondered what Martial Arts Technique he would utilize in such a scenario.
He had already tried so many variants of the [Path Of The Martial God King].
From the Art of Severance, to the Art of Transcendence, and even several other techniques, but none could completely get rid of the opponents—at least, not all at once.
One would think this was bound to make Edward despair…
'Not a chance!' He grinned.
"[Path Of The Martial God King: Art Of Desecration]!"
Kuzon's blade moved in an irregular pattern, striking all ten points around him as if all at once. He moved with the flow of the world, his body ignoring the stings of black energy trying to seep through his defenses.
And then—
~BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!~
None of the Legrises around him stood a chance.
They were all torn to shreds as a result of the pressure, leaving only the one of them that chose to keep his distance from the rest who inevitably died.
"Haa… haa…" Edward leaked out slightly heavy breaths as he glared at the lone Legris, who seemed to be multiplying already.
'I shouldn't lose focus. Even if I managed to destroy all of them, as long as Kuzon isn't done on his end, they'll keep coming.'
He was avoiding the use of techniques that would put a heavy strain on his body, but considering how they had almost gotten him just now, Edward knew he had no choice but to use something big.
Unfortunately, it didn't do him much good.
In just a few seconds, the nine Legrises he managed to kill were back.
'At least I was able to replace all my defenses within that time. I should celebrate that much, at least.' Edward smiled to himself, once again raising his blade.
'How much longer until Kuzon—'
"EDWAAAAAARRRRRD!!!" The very second that Edward thought of Kuzon, he heard a screaming voice belonging to the same person.
It caused him to break into a smile, though relief was still far from him.
"About time…" He whispered.
The ten Legrises focused their attention on Kuzon, all of them rushing in his direction as if they were wild animals with only the desire to sip him to shreds.
Edward, who already knew how ferocious they could be, forgot his composure for a second and yelled.
"Kuzon, watch ou—"
"Relax, big man. I'm fine." Kuzon's voice manifested right beside him as he touched his shoulder.
For a second, Edward was too stunned to move.
After being frozen, still within that second, he finally blinked and looked at Kuzon's smiling face with only one thing to say.
"E-eh?"
"I replaced myself with the [Marionette Butterfly] I kept on you."
Since space was currently messed up, Edward hadn't expected teleportation to be a viable option. However, it seemed Kuzon bypassed that process by directly tapping into the position of his own construct, who was connected to him through a [Marionette] String.
In essence…
"They only caught themselves a butterfly… not a Midas."
