Chapter 115 – Going Against on Purpose (故意针对)

Qiao Hongye’s deskmate’s words had some influence, Some people even thought, ‘Even Qiao Hongye’s ex-best friend hates her, it really goes to show just how much of a hypocrite she is!’

“That’s right, that’s right! All of us are going to run, so why is it only her that’s allowed to just sit aside and do nothing? If Teacher is going to be biased, then no one will participate in class today!” someone else spoke up.

As soon as the words were spoken, every student agreed with the idea.

The male teacher’s eyes widened in shock, and he felt that something was not quite right. Did the sun rise from the west this morning? Usually, wasn’t it obvious that he wanted Qiao Hongye to at least give it a go, but nobody would let him?

Nevertheless, this teacher was still a male and did not understand a girl’s heart. Seeing so many people currently rebuking Qiao Hongye, he even thought that his teaching methods had finally come to fruition.

“Look, Qiao Hongye! Everyone else is planning on running, so shouldn’t you at least put in some effort?” The male teacher tested the waters as he glimpsed at Jing Yunzhao who was currently leading her class, and continued, “In the past, Jing Yunzhao’s physique also wasn’t very good, but every time she still gave her all. Look at how obvious the results of her efforts are now! You should try to learn a little from her.”

This time, Qiao Hongye felt wronged to the point where she wanted to cry. Too bad for her however, as nobody fell for her act since she had previously shed too many tears already.

Now that even the teacher was comparing her to Jing Yunzhao, what little pride she had left was provoked. Finding herself watching how the others were going against her again, she accepted her fate and went back to the group.

“Since you’re here, then you can lead the class too. Students of Class 2, try not to lose to those of Class 1!” The male teacher gave some encouragement as his heart felt excited.

It was a large milestone in his educational career for students to take the initiative to listen to his words!

Qiao Hongye had on a bitter expression as she stood before the two rows of students, shouting “One! Two! One! Two!” in an almost angry yet nervous tone.

“Qiao Hongye, why is your voice as soft as a mosquito’s? Who could possibly hear you?” her deskmate mocked her sarcastically.

Those words were, in fact, the truth. No matter how one looked at the situation, it couldn’t be said that she was purposely giving Qiao Hongye a hard time

Class 1 was no more than 10 metres away from the other class, yet Jing Yunzhao’s voice was exceedingly clear. It was a melodious and sweet sound, and it didn’t cause others to feel that it was noisy. On the other hand, Qiao Hongye’s voice was lethargic and completely absent of any energy or spirit. It was as if the whole class was bullying her. Additionally, although her running speed was slow, the rest of them were not allowed to overtake her. This feeling was similar to being leaden down by weights. They were already feeling tired even though they had just started running.

Qiao Hongye was almost angered to death, and she couldn’t hold in her temper for much longer. This time, she raised her voice and howled, “One, two! One, two! One…”

“Can you run faster?! Do you think you’re a girl from some noble house? Are you taking those tiny little steps to try to tire us all to death?!” Someone else spoke up again from the crowd.

Her face was now red with anger. Ever since she started high school, she had almost never used these thighs of hers to run before. How could she be compared with Jing Yunzhao, that coarse bastard?

Even only having run for a short while, she was already exhausted to the point where she almost couldn’t move. Yet now they wanted her to run faster?

Qiao Hongye’s grudge towards Jing Yunzhao deepened even further.

She couldn’t understand. Clearly, Jing Yunzhao would also collapse from running a few steps in the past, but recently her stamina and endurance were much better than ever before. Was it possible that everything from before was all an act?

The more she remained on this train of thought, the more Qiao Hongye felt that her guess was right. She had even forgotten about how they would often starve Jing Yunzhao back in the Qiao family home, and how, because she was malnutritioned at the same time, Jing Yunzhao lacked the ability to do strenuous exercises.

Presently, as the leader of her class, Jing Yunzhao was attracting quite a lot of attention.

“The people bad-mouthing Jing Yunzhao behind her back and saying that she’s pregnant are too malicious. Looking at her condition, how can such a thing even be possible…” Students from other classes who were acquainted with Jing Yunzhao were unable to control themselves anymore and spoke up for her.

Five laps around the field wasn’t a distance to laugh at, but Jing Yunzhao was still relaxed as if it was nothing for her. How could this be possible if she really were pregnant?
