It was evening when finally the streets had quieted down and the crowd of people had dispersed to mind their own business since the delegates from the Xeton Empire had already left.

Meanwhile Damien was deep in thought in his villa when Luna came out of her Shard Of Essence and appeared beside him.

"I can't believe what I just saw." Luna said while shaking her head.

"What do you mean?" Damien asked as he narrowed his eyes.

"The girl you just met had a Divine soul essence. Well her soul as a whole is not completely divine yet not even at the false divinity level, but with time as her cultivation increases, so will her divinity." Luna said as her eyes sparkled.

'No wonder...she seemed a bit otherworldly.' Damien mused.

"Wait...are you telling me she is kind of a goddess or something?" Damien said with a blinking expression.

"Pfft, goddess my foot. She is just a mortal in every sense but it seems like somebody bestowed her with most of their Divinity since they must be dying...hmm now everything makes sense."

Damien didn't understand completely what was going on and asked, "What makes sense?"

Luna smiled whimsically, "Why do you think this whole continent seems like the only world for these people and why no one can ever leave this place?"

Damien shook his head as Luna continued, "Hmph, it seems like somebody sealed the whole continent but the seal is so weak that even a false divinity could easily break through it. I think we will find the answers we need in the Xeton Empire itself."

"Wow...I knew it! That this continent couldn't be the only place in this world. So it means there's probably a god residing in the Xeton Empire?" Damien cocked his head and asked.

'Maybe that's why the Xeton Empire is so powerful.' Damien felt that things were making sense now. But he didn't understand how a god ended up in such a lowly plane.

Lily pinched her chin, "A god? Based on the divinity I sensed from the girl, I think it's a god way weaker than me. But I don't think that god possesses any strength or much divinity now and is probably dying since it basically transferred a majority of its soul essence to that girl. Otherwise, this lowly plane would shake like a leaf if there was a divine presence and I would have obviously noticed it."

'Phew...now I have to even take in account of a possible god...why are things only getting more difficult…' Damien sighed as he didn't expect the Xeton Empire to house a god. Even if Luna said the god had most probably lost all divinity, it was still a god.

He suddenly felt disheartened thinking whether he would be able to pull off his plans within these two years. What if the god decided to interfere in his plans or protected the Xeton Empire? Would he be able to go against a god with his current measly prowess?

He asked Luna with a weary expression, "What is the cultivation level of that girl?"

Luna smiled, "She's at the third level of the Sky Ethereal Realm."

Damien literally felt like fainting on the floor.

'Not even Earth Ethereal Realm but even a whole realm beyond that. What a terrifying fairy. Seems like things are not simple.'

However, Damien felt that behind the polite expression of Reva, he noticed a distant and cool wall of sea, that hid away her true emotions.

"Then, what about that Elder Ximir dude who looked as if nothing could faze him."

"Ha, he's at the fifth level of the Heaven Ethereal Realm." Luna said with an amused expression seeing Damien's shock.

"Heaven Ethereal Realm? The legendary realm where one would be able to even fly? What the hell...no wonder there is such a tremendous power difference between the Rong Empire and the Xeton Empire." Damien nodded to himself.

'If he could fly, then why the heck did he ride a horse?' Damien wondered whether the poor guy was forced to ride a horse in order to escort the princess or if he wanted to look good riding a horse.

'But if even the cultivation of an elder from their imperial family is at the Heaven Ethereal Realm, then how strong would the emperor of Xeton Empire be?' Damien couldn't imagine what the power levels of the strongest person in the Xeton Empire would be.

"I knew that the Xeton Empire couldn't be simple...but I never expected them to hold such secrets. Who knows how many more surprising things they have in store." Damien sighed as he closed his eyes thinking about various things.

Luna didn't say anything but simply had a playful smile on her face, looking at Damien to see how he's going to take into account all these new variables.

A few moments later Damien slowly opened his eyes as a determined expression formed on his face, "It doesn't matter...it doesn't matter at all." He mumbled.

He then looked at Luna and said, "You said that god is weaker than you and probably doesn't even have much divinity left right? Then I guess I would still have a chance. And if that god did really have any power left then why is the Xeton Empire not conquering the whole continent? No matter how dignified they are, having more power would only increase their greed especially when they are interested in marrying Lily into their imperial family. I think there are some things I am missing out on and I need to get inside their empire to have a clear understanding of the situation."

Luna raised one of her eyebrows and said, "Oho? Ignore the god for now. There would be plenty of Sky Ethereal Realm and Heaven Ethereal Realm practitioners standing in your way. With your current strength, you would simply get blown away just by their sneeze. Do you have any plan to not get crushed like an ant in an unknown place?"

Damien smirked, "Heh...what do you take me for? I don't plan to simply take them head on with my current strength. Right now I don't have much idea about the Xeton Empire. But I will slowly try to enter their ranks as a genius first and then destroy them from within." A cold grin formed on his face as he said the last part.

In order to help Lily, Damien wouldn't mind if he had to destroy all three empires since they were basically the ones tormenting Lily. Just because they had the power to bully the Rong Empire, doesn't mean Damien would let them take away Lily.

"Hmph, your so-called plans are well and good as long as you don't get yourself killed. The last thing this goddess wants is her soul to dissipate." Even Luna was a little concerned how Damien was going to face off against such powerful enemies within two years.

But somehow she had faith that Damien would be able to pull it off.

*RING!!*

Suddenly a ring sounded in Damien's villa.

'Now who wants to see me? I thought I had already put up an announcement saying I won't be accepting any customers today.'

Damien opened the door and was surprised to see a face he didn't expect to see.

'Oswin Rong?'

Oswin Rong gave an amiable smile and said, "Greetings, Alchemist Azrael. I am Court Master Oswin Rong. Princess Lily had sent me to inform you that the Ancestor is ready to meet you."

"You mean now?" Damien was surprised that Lily had quickly arranged such a meeting. He at most expected it to be tomorrow.

"Yes, or is it inconvenient for you now?" He asked politely.

"No, let's go then."
