"This door is already broken?" Alex exclaimed.

Lu Chen pushed the doors of the supermarket open and the group quietly walked in. "Somebody has definitely been here before us."

The various shelves of the supermarket were neatly stacked with miscellaneous items. There were no signs of struggle and the store had not been ransacked or anything like that.

This made sense because right now most people were probably too scared to even come out, but the weird part was that half of the supplies were missing. That too they had been taken out in a very neat and orderly fashion.

"Hmm… this is really interesting. They seem to have only taken out half of the goods and left the other half of everything." Guan Ye observed the same thing and muttered to Lu Chen as he picked a can of tuna in his hand.

"Are we also doing that?"

"Hell no." Luo Zu took the initiative to answer, but Lu Chen and Alex as well nodded in agreement.

"There is no point. These supplies won't last for long. Let's start loading. Give more importance to fresh water and edible processed food which doesn't require further cooking." Lu Chen lifted five heavy wooden crates single-handedly and started walking towards the two trucks they had prepared.

They had also siphoned out enough fuel from other vehicles and made other adequate preparations for the trucks to last as their primary mode of transport for at least a couple of weeks.

It almost seemed ridiculous to be loading such huge amounts of food but ultimately that was the key to survival irrespective of what else was happening around them. Without food, they would no longer have the strength to fight against whatever was going to come at them.

While everyone silently continued to load the trucks, Lu Chen and Qin Hua's clone now standing guard near the vehicles, the original Qin Hua was busily ransacking a certain another store in the mall.

In fact, she didn't just rob the single store but she also used her [Mana Sniff] to identity other stores with similar mana densities and was busily looting everything that she could find.

[Woof! Two more floors to go!]

Qin Hua summoned the inventory space and then took out the small pouch from within and took a look inside the pouch.

The space which only contained dagger and loincloth up until now was suddenly sparkling and dazzling. There was a small heap of jewelry within the storage pouch.

More specifically, all the pieces of jewelry seemed to be studded with ruby stones and amethyst stones.

She didn't know why but these two stones alone had weirdly high concentrated mana swirling around them. It was not that she could see the density or the amount of mana, rather it was a feeling.

All the jewelry that contained these two specific stones had the strong scent of mana. To test things out, Qin Hua cast a couple of Chaos Balls and sent them flying towards one of the other shops.

The black balls of energy struck the wall explosively, completely destroying that store and even parts of the neighboring stores. At the same time, the spells had also drained her mana reserves completely which was what she wanted.

Qin Hua now clutched a couple of ruby studded engagement rings, hooking them in her paw.

And almost immediately… she felt a sudden jolt of energy in her body as if she had downed a can of red bull.

<Ding. Your mana has recovered>

[Ba ha ha ha! This is awesome! With this I can cast a lot of spells without worrying about mana consumption!]

As far as she could understand, just like how the human beings had mutated, beasts had mutated, it looked like some of the minerals and rare gemstones had also developed new properties.

Or perhaps these properties were existent all along and were only now being revealed because mana only now became available on Earth.

After confirming her suspicions and usefulness of these gemstones, Qin Hua robbed clean each and every single store in the mall that sold jewelry.

She then sniffed the air some more to see if she could detect any other abnormal materials but unfortunately, nothing else was out of place.

[Woof. Time to go back.]

She contemplated instantly switching places with the clone but just to do another smell check, she ended up running all the way to the entrance of the mall where others were busily loading the truck.

"Little white! There you are!" Lu Chen smiled and waved at her as soon as she appeared at the set of stairs. "Where did you go?"

She was too lazy to signal and communicate right now so she simply shook her head and strutted over to him, letting out a lazy yawn. She then casually laid on the ground next to him.

Qiang who was carrying a couple of crates over to the truck immediately poked Luo Zu and muttered to him. "Brother Luo, that dog is back."

Taking one look at Qin Hua who was lazily rolling around, the man instantly became furious.

"Look at that bitch sitting over there leisurely, when we are out here working our asses off in the middle of the motherfucking night!"

"Didn't you see how she was fighting against those thugs? If she wanted, she could have easily finished loading the trucks in a few minutes."

"Why should we suffer like this unjustly? Fuck. My entire shirt is drenched with sweat and is itching."

Just as the two men were grumbling quietly amongst themselves, the dog suddenly looked in their direction and snapped its canines making the both of them shiver involuntarily.

"Brother Luo… I am… I am scared. Did it hear us?" Qiang worriedly asked.

"Ahem. No. No. No way that's possible. We are whispering quietly and we are standing all the way over here. How could it be?" Luo Zu chuckled awkwardly.

"Ahem. Let's just finish loading the truck. There are only a couple more crates left."
