Lu Chen stood up and addressed everyone as this concerned the efforts and safety of everyone in the group. His voice was loud and clear and he explained the details clearly.

"There seems to be another group of survivors near us, but I am not sure if we can trust them or not. We don't know how strong they are and who they are."

"You both were walking towards the south, so they might be currently in Jixin city."

"We can avoid them and go north or we can directly go and have a face to face conversation with them. But chances are that conversation might turn ugly."

"Just this one guy has a bag full of grenades and heavy weaponry including several pistols. So maybe the rest of the group is also heavily armed. We might get outnumbered and overpowered."

"Though we have some enhanced abilities, our bodies are not yet immune to guns and grenades."

"I think we should avoid them and go north and first focus on building our own strength as a team. What do you all think?"

Lu Chen treated everybody as equal and explained the situation part by part. He knew that in the end, he was still going to do whatever he wanted, but he took the time to have this discussion nevertheless.

Not to waste anyone's time. Rather he was trying to make a point. He wanted everyone to be a functioning part of the team and feel like one.

If things didn't change, then eventually, the weaker members of the group would fall one by one until there was no one left. Everybody needed to act responsibly and do their part. Moreover, they needed to be aware of the current outside world.

Gou Sheng, the elder who had prepared the medicine was the first one to speak up and he agreed with Lu Chen. "I also think we should avoid confrontation as much as possible."

Watching the old man bravely speak up, another person also spoke up.

"Hmm. We also have a lot of women and elderly people with us. They might think we are weak and try to take advantage of us." He paused and then added with embarrassment. "Ah. Actually, we are quite weak."

Others nodded too. They had just now struggled against small insects and were completely helpless. How would they possibly fare against another enemy group if they are outnumbered?

Lu Chen smiled and nodded. This is exactly what he had wanted. He was about to wrap it up and end the discussion when Mo Ling suddenly spoke up.

In his hand was a grenade that he had been closely examining all this time. "I think that this is a government issued grenade. The people in the camp might be military or police."

"Besides, Alex mentioned that these two were continuously talking about how they wanted to help her. So maybe they aren't bad?"

Mo Ling had worked in the military before and he had prior knowledge of weapons and ammunition, unlike the others who were mostly civilians. So Lu Chen did not doubt his words.

However, he was not quite sure whether it was the military or perhaps another party controlling the ammunition from the military.

"I agree that you have a point. They could definitely be friendly for all we know and combined with their military support, our group can become a lot stronger and safer."

"They could have medical experts to help you guys, perhaps fit you with prosthetics."

"They can also have more information about what is happening everywhere and if the government is still functional."

"However, this is only an assumption. The end result could fall on either side. It is a high risk and high reward scenario. We could lose a lot but also gain a lot."

Lu Chen paused, giving everyone some time to think, while he also mulled over the situation. Qin Hua didn't interfere in these matters as she trusted Lu Chen's judgment.

Besides, she had confidence in her own abilities and knew that if ever worse came to worst, she could immediately escape from at least other human beings along with their group of five.

Though she didn't mind protecting the others, unfortunately in events of danger, she could only take care of her friends.

As she calmly waited for Lu Chen's decision, she eyed the two new guys.

[Oh! One of the two guys has special abilities! Woof!] Qin Hua's eyes lit up as she gazed at the two people bound and tied tightly.

[I wonder what is this spirit summoner ability?]

She had wanted to see if there would be something in their relationship status that could help her decipher their character, but apparently, nothing was helpful.

[Woof! I guess that's alright. Finding out in person should be more fun. Maybe I should alone pay a visit to their camp?]

Coincidentally, Lu Chen's voice also sounded at the same time. "How about just some of us pay a visit to them and check the facility out?"

Qin Hua grinned. [Woof! You read my mind!]

Lu Chen gave a nod towards the dog and then continued. "Guan Ye and little white both have stealth ability. It would be easier if I went along with these two first and checked out everything."

"Alex and Luo Zu, both of you stay back and take care of things." Lu Chen didn't forget to stop and stare at Luo Zu for a few seconds and reminded him. "Don't fuck around."

"Aha ha ha. Never. Never. Boss Chen." His answer didn't give any confidence to Lu Chen but what could he do? Alex and he were still their strongest fighters in the team, leaving out himself, Guan Ye, and little white.
