"Keep marching! Slay anything that blocks your path!" A man on the back of a scaled horse shouted. He donned heavy armor and had a huge spear at his side. The men in front of him also wore heavy armor with shields and long spears. Anything that tried to attack them died. There was a sea of soldiers behind them as they slowly marched through the woods. Mages stood behind the front lines burning down trees, clearing the path ahead, as they progressed towards the mountains. At first, they were attacked by many monsters, but as they continued, the monsters quickly learned to stay away.

Back by the mountains where Kana and Ceilie were. Kana's wound healed quickly thanks to the potion Ceilie had given her. "Thanks, Ceilie. The pain is now gone."

"We are a team now; there is no need to say thanks. Nothing was broken, right? The potion was only a low quality one and won't heal broken bones." Ceilie asked. She was very worried about Kana, which surprised Kana.

"Nothing broken." Kana smiled and stood up. She never thought in her entire life someone would show her such care. She wondered if this was what it was like to have a sibling. "This kind of feeling is not so bad..."

"Kana?" Ceilie looked at Kana. She could hear Kana say something, but her voice was too low to hear exactly what she said.

Kana shook her head: "It's nothing. We need to attack those monsters when they are on their last leg."

"Kana, give the bear to the human girl. And you take the tri horned rabbit. All she needs to do is shoot an arrow through the bear's top eye while it is about to die to finish it off. This will give her the kill experience allowing her to level up to ten instantly." Lysairth cut in. She had been keeping an eye on the monsters' battle and could tell the tri horned rabbit was a higher level which meant more experience for kana. But she knew that having Ceilie evolve to be an archer would also help since it would give her new skills.

"I will." Kana replied in her mind before explaining to Ceilie what she should do. Ceilie had never thought to steal the kill and nodded her head without a word and readied her bow. She needed full concentration to fire her arrow at the exact moment the three eyed bear was about to die.

*Rawr!*

*Roar!*

The ground shook under the battle of the two high level monsters. By this time, both monsters were covered in blood. The horned rabbit already lost the use of its front right leg due to Kana taking a chunk out of it and was still bleeding from the wound. Now on top of that, it also had many more wounds that it received from the three eyed horned bear. The three eyed horned bear was fairing no better and was actually in worse shape. It had actually lost one leg altogether and had many deep gashes in its chest. So deep that even the bone was visible.

The three eyed horned bear was losing so much blood that it had become very sluggish and was hardly able to stand. But even still, it continued to try to fight the tri horned rabbit. Ceilie and Kana both watched the fight in amazement. Kana wondered when she would be as strong as these two. But she hoped the day she did become that strong that she did not become dumb to the point where she would fight back and forth like this. Kana could not understand what drove the three eyed horned bear to keep fighting when it was already in such a state. It was not like it was gaining anything out of it. Was it pride? Did the three eyed horned bear really want revenge so bad just because she accidentally smacked into it? That it would put itself through this torment and end up on its last dying breath, all just to kill her?

Such things were beyond Kana's comprehension. She had lived a life of survival. You did what you could to survive as long as it did not go against your own morals. As an example where some girls in her past life would sell themselves to men for money, she never did that. She respected herself enough to never want to get involved in such dirty acts. Those girls would end up being tricked into taking some kind of drug and then become addicted to this drug. Then instead of something that should have been a one time deal for them, it turned into the only way they could support their habit.

The back streets were a place of many dark acts, and Kana had witnessed many of such acts with her own eyes. So seeing the three eyed horned bear go through such lengths without even a single thought of self preservation confused her to no end. Kana saw no honor in its actions. It had become obsessed with the thought of revenge. And now it was paying the price for that obsession.

"Don't think too hard on it, Kana. This is a common sight amongst all species. Whether it be human, demi human, dragon, or monster, there will always be a time when revenge or pride will control them. What you are witnessing is a combination of the two." Lysairth did not know what was on Kana's mind, but she could tell Kana was having problems understanding why the three eyed horned bear continued to fight when there was nothing to gain from it all. "Just remember from this experience, this is what happens when you get lost in revenge."

"I will… I'll make sure to never become this obsessed with revenge. Because if you lose your life in the process just because the target is there, then you will die for nothing. It is better to grow stronger and come back. And repeat this process as many times as needed. Hopefully, I will never need to take revenge on anyone..."
