The next morning Creige left the same way he came by ripping through time and space. Kana sighed as she watched him disappear. "To think, we almost..." Blushing slightly, Kana shook her head and turned around and looked at the tiger monster who was being 'played' with by Aoi and smiled. "Aoi, what do you want to name your pet?"

"Kitty!" Aoi yelled out without any thought at all.

Kana chuckled and nodded her head. She felt a little sorry for the tiger monster, but since Aoi wanted to name it Kitty, she would just need to go with it. "Then we will need to make sure we train Kitty well. Bring Kitty with you. We are going to head into the jungle and make our way to a different area. I still need to level up."

"Okay!" Aoi waved her hand, and a bubble of water wrapped around Kitty's body, making it float into the air. Only its head was exposed so it could breathe. Any chance of escape for this poor little tiger monster went right out the window. Aoi had no plans to let it go free.

The bubble shook as the tiger monster floated behind the small figure. It knew it had no choice but to follow the little blue things commands. It the great and majestic third evolution tiger was now at the mercy of a little water elemental. Any pride or dignity it had left was long gone after it had peed itself in fear.

Kana jumped off the mountainside into the forest. Now that she was using her fire element, she was no longer worried about those plant monsters that could suck her dry with their roots. But she did not want to stay any longer in the jungle. She wanted to check out the surrounding areas as well. So she did not seek out any monster to kill within the jungle. She only killed those that attacked her.

What she did not expect upon reaching the jungle edge was a rocky landscape almost devoid of life. The contrast between the two areas was truly extreme. "Aoi, you and Kitty stay close. We do not know how strong the monsters are in this area."

"I will!" Aoi agreed. She bloated over and landed on Kana's shoulder. Kitty was floating in the air above them. "Kitty, warn us if you see anything okay!?"

"Meow..." The great third evolution tiger monster let out a small meow as if it was a kitten. It dared not use its normal roar. It was afraid the little blue demon would tear its skin off.

Rocky plateaus stretched as far as the eye could see. Only spotted bits of dried brush could be seen here and there. The grey rocky landscape made the whole place feel dead and sort of spooky. Kana felt a shiver run up her spine as the wind rustled her hair. "There is no ghost around, right?" Kana mumbled as she hugged herself.

The last thing she wanted was to come face to face with a real ghost. She had completely forgotten that Lysairth was originally a ghost when she first met her. Kana continued forward, looking for any signs of life. But even by midday, she had yet to see signs of life. "Aoi, at the rate things are going, I might need to eat kitty, or I will starve..."

"That's fine!" Aoi said without a care. To her, Kitty was just something to keep her entertained with no special attachment.

As for the tiger monster, the water bubble it was in turned a yellowish color causing Aoi to yell at it since she had to now separate the yellow water from her bubble. But things were not looking good for Kana. She had no food on hand and nothing around to kill. After walking for almost an entire day, her stomach was beginning to rumble. Just when things seemed bad, a roar came from her side. Kana turned her gaze towards a giant black wolf that looked quite plum.

Drool began to form at the corners of Kana's lips as she began deciding how she was going to cook this giant chicken that had just appeared in front of her. As if sensing a demon, the giant black wolf that had just shown up with such gusto suddenly whimpered and tucked its tail between its legs as it turned around to run away. Kana, of course, would not let such a scrumptious meal go as she yelled out: "Don't run! Just let me take a leg! You have four of them, so just giving me one won't matter, right!?"

If the giant black wolf could talk at this moment in time, it would surely say something along the lines of "Fuck off, you scary lizard girl! What do you mean I have four legs, missing one will be fine!?"

And so started the race through the wastelands. One big black wolf with its tail between its legs and one drooling dragon girl were now chasing one another. One was the prey, while the other was the hunter. Upon a ridge far away. A young man with a pair of magi binoculars was a little confused as to what he was seeing. The young girl he had tried to persuade to not enter the red magic realm was now chasing after a third evolution monster. Strangest part was that the third evolution monster seemed to be scared out of its mind as it tried to get away with everything it had. "Looks like she will be just fine. Hopefully it will stay that way."

"Why do you keep running! Fine I won't take a leg but let me take a bite or fifty." Kana yelled as she slurped up her drool and wiped her mouth with her hand. Aoi was gripping on to her shoulder laughing away while Kitty was praying to the tiger god that the damn wolf would get eaten in his place. He knew if Kana could not catch the wolf then he would end up the main course so he was cheering Kana on with every strand of hair and every fiber of his soul that she will catch and kill that stinkin mutt!
