In the end, Kana cried herself to sleep in Creige's arms. Creige smiled gently at her as he helped her into the bed. He then used her bathroom to finish cleaning up before joining her. The next morning Kana woke up with a familiar scent filling her nose. She opened her eyes to see a tanned, muscular chest in front of her. A small smile appeared on her face as she snuggled up closer to her handsome husband's body and fell back asleep.
A few hours later, Kana woke up feeling much more refreshed. "You're awake."
"Mmm..." Kana answered with a soft hum as she rubbed her eyes. She sat up, pulling the blanket with her revealing a naked muscular man underneath. The sight alone was enough to cause Kana to freeze and stare.
A chuckle came from her side as Creige asked: "Does it look good?"
"Mhm!" Kana answered subconsciously before blushing from ear to ear. She quickly got up off the bed and turned away from Creige. "Why are you naked?"
"This I am not sure of. I was in the middle of showering when I suddenly found myself in your room." Creige really had no idea why he was transported to Kana's side, but he was happy he was. Otherwise, she would have been alone crying.
Kana turned around and slowly walked back over to the bed. She leaned down and placed her lips onto Creige's. "No matter how you got here, I am glad you came. Thank you for being there for me last night. You're the best handsome husband in the world."
Seeing Kana smiling brightly at him made Creige relax. Just knowing she was feeling better was like a weight being lifted off his shoulders. Creige reached up and cupped her face stroking her cheek softly. Kana climbed back onto the bed into Creige's lap. The two stared into each other's eyes for a while before kissing once more. After about a minute, their lips parted again. "You should get ready for class. If you wait any longer, you will be late. I also need to head back and get back to work."
Kana pouted slightly before remembering something. She placed her finger on Creige's lip as she smiled sweetly as she said: "Wait here, I got something for you!"
"Oh?" Creige was surprised. He didn't think his little wife would get him a present. He watched as Kana jumped up off the bed and ran out of the room.
Not long after, Kana came back in, hugging something shiny in her arms. She walked over and held it out to Creige with a big smile on her face. "Here for you!"
"Hmm? A dagger?" Creige took the dagger into his hands and looked it over. Although it looked a little rough, the dagger in his hand was usable. One thing on the dagger did attract his eye. On the blade carved into the metal was a name. His eyes looked up at Kana in surprise as he asked: "You made this!?"
Kana nodded her head, her tail swinging back and forth. "I made it yesterday during my forging specialty class. I only got help with making the hilt. Do you like it?"
"I do! This is amazing. You did very good for someone who has just started learning."Creige held the dagger in his hand, lost in thought as he tried to figure out the best place to display it in his shop.
"Hehe… I'm glad." Kana felt relieved. She had been nervous that Creige would not think much of the dagger she made since he was such an amazing forger. But seeing his warm smile and how he treated her dagger like a treasure made her feel warm inside. "Okay, I need to get going to class. Creige, will you... Umm... Be here when I finish classes today?"
"I can't. But I will come to visit when I can. Before I leave, I will set up a small teleportation point so that I can teleport here at any time." Creige said. He got up out of bed and pulled Kana into his arms, hugging her tightly. "Go get ready. I will head back."
"Mmm… Creige… Bye bye… Visit me soon..." Kana bit her lower lip as she stood on her tiptoes and kissed Creige lips. Minutes later, she was standing alone in her room. She let out a sigh before hurrying to get ready.
She did not head straight to class. Instead, she hurried over to the hospital where Kiliffia was to check on her. When she entered the room, she heard two people talking and laughing from within. She opened the door to see Kiliffia sitting up and Doctor Gale sitting on the edge of the bed. When Kiliffia saw Kana, her lips turned up into a big smile as she yelled out: "Goddess Kana!"
Kana smiled back as she asked: "How are you?"
"Much better. Doctor Gale healed every one of my wounds. She did say I need to rest for a while to make sure nothing else was wrong. So I will be in the hospital for a few days while she observes me." Kiliffia answered.
"That's good. Kiliffia, I am sorry because of me you were..." Kana's eyes began to redden. She still blamed herself for what had happened.
"Goddess Kana, it is not your fault. Those people were just evil incarnate as it was. If it wasn't me, it would have been someone else. Luckily I am thick skinned, so I was able to survive." Kiliffia tried to laugh off the situation but in truth, what happened scared her to death. She had been beaten so badly that she thought she was really going to die. She had even called out for her goddess when things were at their most desperate time. In the end her goddess really did save her. Her loyalty to Kana had skyrocketed because of this. But the entire time she was being beaten by those people she never once blamed Kana. She blamed herself for being too weak.
