"It's like this…." The guard began to explain things.

From what Kana could understand, something happened, and the king had not been seen for almost two months. Before the king disappeared, things were as Kana had said, but now, while the king had not been seen, orders kept being passed down every day. New laws were being passed, and most of them were anti human laws. When Kana heard this, she wrinkled her nose in annoyance. It was clear as day someone had taken the king hostage.

Kana sighed. This whole thing was a huge ordeal. If she had acted rashly and begun making a scene, things would have gotten out of hand, and Tilia would have been seen as an enemy. When she saw the guards' expressions, she knew they did not wish to harm anyone.

"Alright. I understand." Kana waved her hand, and the guards all appeared above ground. Even the head guard was now able to speak. "Since I am here, I want you all to go back to the old laws. The laws that have been passed down are not the words of the king."

"This…. Who are you?" The lead guard asked. He had a trace of fear in his voice.

"My name is Kana, and from this day forth, until I figure out what has happened to the king, my word is law. Do you understand?" Kana's gaze fell on the lead guard, who quickly nodded. Seeing this, Kana smiled and asked: "I want you to take me to the man in charge of all of you. I will explain things to him as well."

"Thank you. I would appreciate that." The lead guard knew if he were to suddenly say all the new laws were voided, no one would believe him, and he would get into trouble. So having this small lizard girl who was obviously powerful enough to make her words true stepping forward should help make everyone believe him.

"Then lead the way, please." Kana smiled. She turned back to Ceilie and Tilia, who were standing there in a daze, and waved them over. "We will follow them. There should be no more issues."

"Ri-Right… Ummm, you are Kana, right?" Ceilie asked. She had never seen Kana acting so mature before! It was throwing her off! Her big sister identity was at stake here!

"Of course!" Kana smiled and walked forward, following after the guards, but stopped when and walked over to the old raccoon woman who had warned them before and bowed her head. "Thank you for the warning. I will fix things so that this never happens again."

"Okay?" The old raccoon woman was in a state of confusion. She did not realize she had been talking to a big shot!

Kana and her group walked towards the guard station, where they got on a wagon and went to the main guard station in the east of the city. It took up quite a bit of space, but it was needed for training grounds and even housing for some of the guards.

When Kana got out of the wagon, she walked behind the lead guard from the gate and was immediately stopped at the entrance. "Jackson! What the hell are you doing!? Why are you bringing a human into the city!? Are you trying to get her killed!?"

"Yinel, just let me through. I need to speak to the captain. Everything will be explained after." The lead guard, Jackson, replied.

"I…. Go. But don't blame me if you get hung for this." Yinel sighed. He looked at the little human girl and hoped she would be fine.

The group got a lot of stares as Jackson led Kana deeper into the main guard station. They entered the main building and walked through the halls until they finally arrived at a double door. Jackson reached up and knocked on it. "Captain. It is Jackson. I need to speak with you."

"Come in." A voice came from the other side. Jackson breathed a sigh of relief before opening the door. There was one other man inside the room who was staring at him with questioning eyes.

But when this man saw Tilia, without a single word, he drew his sword and lunched forward. He wanted to take her life right then and there! "Stop!"

The man behind the desk yelled out. The sword that was aiming for Tilia's head had long been caught in a pair of claws. The man who attacked stared in shock at the small lizard girl in front of him.

Kana looked coldly at the man before squeezing her hand, crushing the sword, breaking it into pieces. "You dare to attack without orders!? What has this kingdom come to!?"

"Who are you!?" The man stumbled back. He was already afraid. If he had not seen it, he would not have believed it himself! This little lizard girl just shattered his sword with her claws!

"I am Kana, and right now, my word is law," Kana replied before suddenly floating up into the air. She turned and looked at the man sitting in the seat behind the desk and said: "You should really train your subordinates better."

"I apologize, but young lady, who are you, and why are you here?" The man behind the desk asked. He was not as scared as the other man.

"Captain, she is the one I came to speak to you about." Jackson walked forward and began whispering into the captain's ear.

The captain frowned slightly before nodding his head. He then looked at Kana, who was standing in the air like it was nothing and asked. "Can you really make your words law?"

"You have my guarantee. From what I know about the king, he would never pass down such stupid laws. The person behind the scenes is the one who is passing them down. Whether it is one of his family members or not, I am not sure, but no matter who it is, I will not allow them to live a moment longer. This kingdom's ideas were based on the notion that humans and beastkin can get along. While also being a safe haven for all beastkin, but now suddenly, after the king goes missing, these laws are being passed down? Did you not find it funny?"
