Chapter 786: Talent

Su Huiqing’s memory of the past was a little blurry. It wasn’t that she couldn’t remember it completely, but she would always be a little weak. Her limbs were also very stiff. Although it couldn’t be seen on the surface, every movement of her hands and feet required a lot of strength.

Xu Yi told her that it was because she had slept for too long that she was like this. She still had to accept a healthy recovery.

“Did you save me?” Su Huiqing asked.

Xu Yi was stunned for a moment, but he quickly reacted. He stuffed the pen and paper back into his pocket and said very honestly, “It wasn’t me who saved you. It was my classmate. He was a very famous doctor who discovered you by the sea. I saved you… only because your condition was more suitable for my research project.”

“Thank you.” Su Huiqing narrowed her eyes slightly. It had been two days since she woke up, and she had already participated in a health recovery session. She knew that she had been lying down for several years and had spent a lot of money. This money was all paid by Xu Yi.

She was thinking about how to repay this huge sum of money and wondered if the country here would accept firearms design…

“Miss Su, Miss Su?” The nurse beside her saw that Su Huiqing was stunned again and waved her hand in front of her.

Su Huiqing came back to her senses. “Hm?”

“Did you hear what I said?” The nurse packed up the equipment beside her.

“What?” Su Huiqing stood up and tried to pose in a difficult position. This time, it was much easier than yesterday.

Seeing that Su Huiqing did not hear her, the nurse was not surprised at all. These few days, she had a clear understanding of this Miss Su’s character. This Miss Su liked to be a traveling deity, and her reaction was slow. “Did you realize that Dr. Xu treats you very differently?”

“No.” Su Huiqing looked out of the window. From this angle, she could still see the two children playing outside.

“Dr. Xu graduated from the International Association. You know Monster University, right? He’s from the research institute there, but he came back after he finished his studies. All the women in our hospital like him very much. Let me tell you a secret. I’ve even seen a few beautiful ladies waiting for Dr. Xu, but he has never paid attention to anyone else. He’s very cold. Don’t you realize that he talks a lot to you? He comes to visit you every day when he’s working or after work…” The nurse kept gossiping.

Su Huiqing interrupted her. “Because I am his patient.”

Looking at Su Huiqing’s clear eyes, the nurse finally realized that this Miss Su really had no feelings for Professor Xu.

She sighed and felt that this Miss Su might not have a good EQ.

Su Huiqing fell into deep thought again. Monster University… another familiar name.

Accompanied by a nurse, she made her way downstairs, intending to walk for an hour or two in the public area below and enjoy the sun.

They walked for a while and then sat on the bench.

Su Huiqing leaned back in her chair, holding a pen and a piece of paper in her hand. There was no drawing board, so she only placed the piece of paper on her lap. She was still wearing her hospital gown, and when the sun shone on her body, it enveloped her in a layer of light. She was definitely a head-turner.

She heard someone calling the nurse’s name, but she didn’t look up. She continued to draw with her eyes lowered.

“She is the woman Dr. Xu saved?” The woman in a red dress glanced at Su Huiqing and frowned.

Even though she did not see Su Huiqing’s face, just her side profile made the woman feel threatened.

The nurse had been with Xu Yi for two years and was very familiar with this woman in red. When she heard this, she immediately said, “Yes, Miss Ning.”

Ning Xi was from the Ning family, the same Ning family that dominated the capital. She could not afford to offend them.

“Who is she? She’s awake and still not leaving?” Ning Xi continued to frown.

“No, Miss Su doesn’t have a family,” the nurse answered after some deliberation. “I see that there’s a layer of calluses on her hands. It’s been more than two years, and they haven’t disappeared yet. Her family shouldn’t be very wealthy either.”

The nurse did not lie about this. In the city, even in ordinary families, no lady had such thick calluses on her fingers.

What she did not know was that it was a cocoon that would only appear when one was used to holding a gun.

“I see…” Upon hearing this reply, Ning Xi retracted her gaze and no longer paid attention to Su Huiqing.

Although he looked very aggressive, the Xu family would never accept someone of unknown origin. Xu Yi was such a dazzling person, so he probably wasn’t someone who judged others by their appearance.

As she thought this, she went to the hospital to look for Xu Yi.

Su Huiqing realized that her ears were especially good. She had heard their conversation, but she didn’t have any other thoughts.

She only looked at the nurse after Ning Xi left. “Did you send the photos I gave you yesterday?”

“Of course.” The nurse patted her chest and looked at Su Huiqing curiously. “But Miss Su, what are those that you asked me to send?”

She asked while looking at Su Huiqing’s drawing.

It was very strange. This Miss Su clearly only had a piece of paper and a pen, and there wasn’t even a ruler or compass. However, the horizontal lines on the paper looked as if they had been deliberately measured. They were so orderly that there were no traces of it as a free-hand drawing at all. If someone said it was printed from a computer, people would believe it.
