Chapter 56: Who Was the One Talking Just Now?

Chu Xuning pressed a button, and it opened a door to a passageway that led towards the laboratory. He then took out a few mini handheld transceivers and gave them to Yu Xiangyang and the others.

“Our enemies have also entered the laboratory base. They are inside the room where Doctor Luxe is in and in three other passageways to your left.” They could hear a young yet bright voice from the transceivers. “Remember, after you guys have found Doctor Luxe, you must leave through the middle passageway. The other passageways would only lead you to a dead-end.”

It was a clear and deep voice, but it had a hint of laziness in it.

The voice belonged to Chi Yue.

He had already taken control of the entire monitor room in the base.

“Qingqing, what’s wrong?” Qu Yan, who stood nearest to Su Huiqing, felt her discomfort.

Su Huiqing wore a transceiver wristwatch and her facial expression remained unchanged. She slightly lowered her eyes to hide the wicked glint in her eyes. “Don’t stray too far away from me when you get in later.”

Qu Yan held Su Huiqing’s sleeve and nodded in silence.

“Who is the one talking on the other line?” Yu Xiangyang was very curious.

Upon hearing Yu Xiangyang’s words, Chu Xuning smiled with a heavy heart. “He is an ally.”

He turned around to look at Yu Shijin.

With his black coat draped over his shoulders, Yu Shujin still remained as calm as ever.

He held his transceiver while playing with his black lighter with his other hand.

Although he had not said a word ever since Chi Yue spoke, his vibe remained as cold as ever.

It was too strange… Chu Xuning had not seen such a strange scene before. In the past, as long as Young Master Yu was around, he would always be the one taking on the role of a commander. Chu Xuning also believed that even if Chi Yue was not around, Yu Shijin’s powerful perception abilities were definitely enough for them to avoid all the enemies.

However, Yu Shijin did not do so. Instead, he passed the commanding power to Chi Yue.

Chu Xuning really could not understand Yu Shijin. However, upon realizing that he would not get an answer no matter how hard he thought about it, he paid attention to Chi Yue.

Chi Yue continued giving them directions, and they ingeniously avoided all the enemies.

Since he was a genius hacker, it was already a given that he could hack well, but his impressive leadership skills were off the charts.

What a scary person!

Chu Xuning could not help but think about Chi Yue’s true identity. He suspected before that Chu Xuning had another identity other than being a sniper, and now that he thought about it, Chi Yue was no doubt a member of the Rapid Fire Mercenary Regiment.

Other than that particular person from the Rapid Fire Mercenary Regiment, Chu Xuning simply could not think of anyone else who could have such outstanding leadership skills.

There was a rumor circulating in the international community. It was said that one could randomly pick a person from the Rapid Fire Mercenary Regiment and they would still be a highly qualified leader in any country.

Well, the rumor wasn’t fake. It was a pity that no one knew who exactly was in the Rapid Fire Mercenary Regiment, though. They were just as mysterious as Su S.

And now, the first member had appeared.

It had to be Chi Yue.

Upon thinking about it, Chu Xuning slightly turned his body to look at Su Huiqing. He suddenly felt that this Missy Su seemed more mysterious than Chi Yue.

Su Huiqing observed the entire laboratory base.

Upon hearing Chi Yue’s voice over the transceiver earlier on, she felt stumped and surprised since she recognized Chi Yue’s voice.

She did not think she would still be able to listen to Chi Yue’s commands even after changing an identity.

However, she quickly snapped back to her senses in a brief second since she could not put down her guard in that current situation. The base they were in was like all the bases in the International Association. It was mysterious and hard to break through and there was only one passageway to enter and leave. Although the building looked very ordinary, the ones who knew the place were well aware of high-class technological advancements found within the base.

One could only see such a base at the International Association. There were only a few scientists in the world who could create such a top-notch base, apart from the masters at the International Association.

Thinking up to that point, Su Huiqing slightly lowered her eyes.

“Doctor Luxe is in the innermost laboratory. He still needs about ten minutes until he is done with his experiment.” Chi Yue’s voice resounded over the transceiver again. “You guys only have about fifteen minutes to get out.”

Although Chi Yue sounded very indifferent, he wasn’t joking around.

Yu Xiangyang and the three others felt as if their hearts were about to jump out of their chests. It was too exciting!

Chi Yue sat in the car and stared at his computer screen. He suddenly touched his glasses, and his eyes darkened. “Left! Three o’clock!”

Three words.

It was an instinctive reaction.

Upon hearing that, the people in the base gave a confused look. Su Huiqing, however, raised her hand and pushed the three of them to a corner.

She continued observing the situation and upon seeing a mini robot at the corner, she placed the transceiver to her mouth, and calmly said, “There’s someone at the three o’clock position.”

It was a very simple sentence.

Since they were in the central area, other than a few big monitors placed here and there, there were also countless incomprehensible robot arms and a few silver lights blinking all over the area.

However, even after she had said that, it still caught the others in a daze.

Yu Shijin was the only one who paid attention to her. He grabbed a robot arm and used it to flip himself to a robot five meters away from him.

His black coat outlined an imaginary semi-circle in the air and it revealed his black dress shirt.

With a bright surgical lamp shining on him, it made his face look especially distant. He curled his lips up to form a cold smile and slightly raised his chin, making his face look as beautiful as those on paintings.

Everything happened in a flash.

Before everyone could react to it…

Yu Shijin grabbed a tall, thin man by the collar and placed his black lighter on the man’s neck.

When Chu Xuning and the others walked towards them, he reached out and pushed the man onto the ground.

He slightly lowered his eyes before taking out a snowy white napkin to clean his left hand.

The man pathetically raised his head to look at Yu Shijin, who still seemed as casual as usual. He gave a weird chuckle and took out a timer from his coat pocket. “Do you think you have won over me?”

Chu Xuning saw the numbers on the timer. Eight, seven…

Even Qu Yan wondered what was the timer for.

Yu Shijin crushed the napkin into a ball and casually threw it away. He then stuffed one hand into his pocket and raised his eyes to look towards the man.

He slightly bent down and took the timer away from him. With his eyes slightly lowered, he calmly said, “Look carefully.”

The red numbers on the timer slowly changed.

With every change in the number on the timer, everyone’s heart beat a little faster.

Three.

The man saw the look on Yu Shijin’s face. It was very calm that he could not help but feel a little uneasy.

Two.

Yu Shijin threw the timer away and turned his head to look in another direction.

One.

Well, the man’s uneasiness was not uncalled for.

Because there was not a single sound of an explosion heard.

The entire base remained silent.

Everyone followed Yu Shijin’s gaze and a slender figure slowly walked out of the shadow.

As she held her bag with one hand, she held the dismantled robot with her another.

The robot had been dismantled so badly that it lost its shape.

The man raised his head in disbelief and saw her exquisitely beautiful face, her pitch-black eyes glistened under the light.

She seemed around seventeen-years-old.

She defused his mini bomb in such a short span of time! Countless people flashed past his mind, but no one could match the skill level of the person in front of him.

Su Huiqing walked over at a speed that was neither too fast nor too slow, and she casually threw the robot onto the ground.

She stopped beside the man and squatted down. She then reached out to hit his cheek while raising her eyebrows. “Did you know that you are the very first person who dared to use bombs in front of me so blatantly?”

Her voice was soft, and the man was probably the only one who could hear her at that moment.

Chu Xuning snapped back to his senses. He had pressed a button on the transceiver before explaining the situation to Chi Yue.

However, before he could finish his sentence, Chi Yue’s hand that was hovering over the keyboard suddenly froze. He raised his eyes and looked at his computer screen.

As the situation was very dire, he accidentally said a secret signal. ‘Left! Three o’clock.’ He had frequently used it during missions in the past. It was a secret signal which no one could understand unless they were a part of the Rapid Fire Mercenary Regiment.

He reached out to take a cigarette. “Who was the one talking just now?”
