Chapter 50: It Seemed that She Had Run Into Some Trouble

At school. Upon seeing Gu Li finally walking over at a torturously slow speed, Qu Yan heaved a sigh of relief and turned around to face Su Huiqing.

“I heard that your mom and dad are getting a divorce?” Qu Yan was being careful enough, and her concern projected through her eyes as she looked at Su Huiqing.

Su Huiqing placed her hand on the table while she spun her pen with the other. Upon hearing that, she slightly turned her head around and squinted her eyes. “A lot of people have heard about it, too?”

She said it with her lips slightly curled up; her pitch-black eyes glistening.

However, Qu Yan thought differently because she felt that a cold, wicked vibe had replaced Su Huiqing’s usual lazy one.

Qu Yan nodded her head and was about to continue talking when the school bell rang.

At the same time, the phone in Su Huiqing’s pocket rang. It was so coincidental that it seemed as if she had planned everything.

Su Huiqing took her phone out and upon recognizing the caller, she gave Qu Yan a signal and then walked away. With her head tilted downward, she held her phone to her ear and stuffed a hand into her pocket. With a beautiful ray of sunshine surrounding her, it made her look like she was glowing.

“Yes?” She stood at the corridor and quietly stared at the field in front of her.

Not a single hint of happiness could be heard in her deep voice.

However, Xie Zhengyuan, who was at the Su Corporation, waved to the person behind him before squashing his cigarette with his feet. He gave a deep chuckle. “My friend cried to me this morning that his Galaxy Steel Corporation is about to go bankrupt.”

“I got it.” She quickly said in a casual tone of voice, “I will transfer it to him later.”

“Miss Su.” Xie Zhengyuan suddenly turned solemn and his tone of voice no longer sounded as casual. Even his eyes slowly darkened. “That transaction is enough to attract the attention of some relevant personnel.”

Even though most people were unaware that the Galaxy Steel Corporation would give out their dividends, there would always be a few people who could tell.

Although he didn’t interact with Su Huiqing that often, he still knew her well. She had a low profile, and it was exactly like that person. He could not find a single piece of useful information when he searched her name on the internet, too. As such, he gave her a small reminder.

The person on the other end of the phone remained silent for a long while before she said, “Alright, I need to go for my classes now.”

Her voice sounded very peaceful.

After Xie Zhengyuan had hung up the call, he stared at his phone for a good few minutes.

He forgot that he was talking to a seventeen-year-old student. If it was eight years ago… she would be nine.

He sighed before sending another message.

After Su Huiqing had hung up the call, she returned to her seat and took out her English textbook. She had already lowered her eyes and had flipped her book open when her phone screen lit up. She picked it up and scanned the message before sending out a reply. “Transaction completed.”

Qi Lan, who was at the International Association, could not help but feel stumped after seeing an unfriendly reply on his phone and a certain notification bubble, which informed him that his friend request was rejected.

He turned around and looked at the person beside him. “Have you found this person’s details?”

“President Qi.” A young man turned around in his chair and spread his hands. “It’s not that I am not taking responsibility, but this person’s identity is really hard to investigate. It’s too confidential. Her account level is at level S, too. Hence, I really can’t do anything about it.”

Qi Lan narrowed his eyes. “Transfer twenty million yuan out of the finance department.”

“Twenty million yuan?” The young man jumped in shock. “Although the company is rich enough to do that, wouldn’t your elders say something about it?”

“In that case, ask them this. Would they rather watch their secondary company go bankrupt or spend those twenty million yuan?” Qi Lan took his coat and walked towards the door. Before he left, he paused and said, “Remember to transfer it immediately.”

Even though school ended for the day, the three-person gang did not leave the school. Instead, Su Huiqing dragged them to the field to practice boxing.

After Qu Yan had finished her boxing match, she played games on Su Huiqing’s phone and as she played along, a notification from the bank popped up on the screen.

She initially did not notice it; however, she unknowingly started counting the numbers on the screen. “One billion…”

“What the heck… Qingqing, did you rob the bank or something?” She raised her head to look at Su Huiqing.

Su Huiqing placed her hands on the railing and jumped over it in a swift action. She then reached out to pick her phone up. After glancing at the screen, she casually put the phone away. “Does the bank even have that much cash?”

“I don’t think so.” Qu Yan touched her chin.

Yu Xiangyang wiped his sweat while walking towards them. Upon hearing Qu Yan’s messy explanation, she looked at Su Huiqing with a weird gaze.

“What are you looking at?” Su Huiqing took the coat on the pole and placed it over her shoulders before narrowing her eyes at Yu Xiangyang.

“No, I mean.” Yu Xiangyang touched his nose and paused before continuing, “Are we going back now?”

“Uh-huh,” Su Huiqing casually replied before bending down to take her backpack. “We will go back first for now and tomorrow, we will go to the bank to withdraw the money.”

There was also a T+1 process at the bank. Since she converted her stocks into money earlier on that day, she had to wait for a day before she could receive it in cash.

However, the second day was a Friday and so Su Huiqing had to skip a lesson to go to the bank.

“Stocks-bank transaction.” She slightly lowered her eyes and gave a bunch of documents to the lady at the counter.

The lady took the documents and typed on her keyboard with a serious face.

She suddenly hissed and raised her head to look at Su Huiqing. “I am so sorry, Miss Su. We need your guardian to process your transaction.”

Su Huiqing leaned against the counter and narrowed her eyes, causing her pitch-black eyes to look a little cold. She placed one hand on the counter and she still had her school jacket left unbuttoned.

The lady called her boss. “Secretary Shen, there’s a transaction that requires the president to come down to settle.”

“Can’t you guys be more serious at work? Why must you always ask the president for help? Do you think the president is very…” The voice on the other end of the phone sounded a little impatient.

The lady looked at her computer screen and confirmed the sum of money before replying in a deep voice. “Secretary Shen, it’s thirty million dollars of fluid capital.”

The person on the other end of the phone suddenly froze. “Give me a minute.”

After five minutes, Su Huiqing walked into the VIP room.

A fat yet dignified President gave Su Huiqing a black card. “Miss Su, are you sure that you don’t want to look at any of our investment plans? I can promise you that our investment plans are…”

“President.” Su Huiqing casually stuffed the black card into her pocket and upon hearing what he had to say, she turned her head to face him. “Do you know where all this money comes from?”

“Where did it come from?” the president instinctively asked.

Su Huiqing picked up her backpack, her slender figure looking especially beautiful and bright in the dimly lit room.

She stuffed her hand in her pocket and lowered her pitch-black eyes. “I earned it through trading stocks.”

Did he just ask a professional stocks trader to sign an investment plan with the bank?

The smile on the President’s face twitched as he watched her figure disappear from his sight. He mumbled, “Why do I feel like that girl looks so familiar?”

After Su Huiqing had withdrawn the money, Qu Yan and Yu Xiangyang immediately pestered her to treat them to a barbeque meal.

It was the same restaurant as usual, at the same place.

It was just that the restaurant was a little secluded. Su Huiqing lazily followed behind them with her backpack thrown over her shoulders.

However, Qu Yan and Yu Xiangyang, who were being noisy the whole time, suddenly stopped walking.

They looked at the person blocking their path with wide-open eyes.

Qu Yan dropped her backpack with a thud. “Gu Li?!”

At a place not too far away from them.

“It seems that Miss Su ran into some trouble.” The man dressed in black secretly stopped the car and looked at the head of the group who was sitting under the shade. “Young Master Yu, they are from the underground casino.”

Upon hearing that, the man sitting on the backseat immediately sat upright. He then turned around and calmly looked towards the alley through the car window.

He narrowed his pitch-black eyes, causing his face to look colder than usual.

After a while, he said in a cold voice, “You mean the underground casino that Chi Yue is investigating?”
