The simulation section was already shocking enough for the Deans and the instructors.
Half of them are experts in side professions and they couldn't stop themselves from checking it. Joker of course, didn't bother to stop them. He just let them start playing around there. Only the Deans and some older Elders followed him.
"Now, only two areas remain.
One is another Simulation area, but it is not for artisans or other masters. This is pure battle simulation. You can connect yourself with the system here and you can simulate any scenario as long as you can image it with clear constraints and metrics.
You can replay the battle however many times you want. The layout will physically change based on that. Of course, the area is a bit limited, so you can only imagine to a certain extent."
When Joker explained, the deans were a bit confused.
"You mean, it can simulate anything? Including the beasts, natural factors, all kinds of variables?"
"Yes, the simulation would be close to the real thing as possible. This is the result of a new research I managed to reach a breakthrough in.
The architectural design of this space allows the stones in the floor, ceiling and pillars to morph and create a stone version of the terrain to a very precise detail.
And a new technology of mine, allows me to recreate and simulate by morphing the stone replica of whatever a person can imagine. You can do a demo for this too, if you want."
The deans all gulped nervously. They looked at each other and they all recognized the dangerous amount of possibilities this can create if the technology is indeed a feasible one. They are even scared to try it out, because if it is indeed true, they don't want to be the first ones to get hit by that reality in the face.
But of course, not all of them are scared.
Dean Wharton, dean of the Gambler's academy, jumped so high that he almost hit the ceiling.
"I, Wharton am the only worthy one to experience the demonstration of this place. Allow me."
He is so excited.
His excitement is on par with a child that just got informed that he became the owner of the candy store for the rest of his life and can enjoy the free candy. Maybe even more.
Joker welcomed Wharton with open hands and for the next thirty minutes, the things that appeared in front of the Deans and Joker are something that they wouldn't be able to forget for the rest of their lives.
Joker wouldn't forget it because of how proud he is about his own creation and the Deans because they realized how terrifying this invention is. They believed that this would change the landscape of the whole Academic realm as this will open the doors for brand new ways of teaching.
The Dean of Zeus academy turned to Joker and asked in a solemn but a bit shaky tone.
"If you don't mind me asking, are you planning on opening another hub in a different region?"
"Not at the moment, no. I already have too much on my plate just trying to maintain this one. And a lot of the things in this place are new inventions, so I would be busy collecting data and improving it. So, there are not plans of opening another branch in the immediate future."
The deans sighed in relief up on hearing this.
And the next moment, a fire burned in all of their eyes. Except for Wharton who is purely excited because of what this toy can offer him, the rest of them all are burning up with ambition and things they could gain from using this machine.
Many of them are tempted to ask Joker to sell this and it would be a lie to say that they didn't have any wild thoughts to just obtain it in … let's say more 'unfriendly' ways.
But to their dismay, they are in the Academic realm. As long as Joker is a registered and valid merchant selling these service, trying to take that off of him, will be a crime and the academic realm's guardian formation will see to it that they are screwed.
They compressed their desires of course.
They just waited for Joker to finish the tour.
This simulation section is a very large one and it covered many acres, but all of that is covered and confiened within the building walls. Even though people realized that this is a big construction, this is larger than they imagined.
After they crossed over this area, there is a final area that was left.
"Well, this section is not the best of them all and in fact a little underwhelming compared to the rest, but this is where people can give out commissions to the hub. The commissions could be about battle strategies, war strategies, ambush plans, weapon designs, medicine recipes, formation designs, whatever it is.
They can come here, explain their requirements and they can gain a solution and direction from this place."
"How does that work? Do you have a team that takes up these jobs?"
"No, the jobs are mostly done by the system based on my input."
The deans didn't get it. As much as they are shocked by everything have seen and as much as they could believe that this system or whatever Joker calls it can do it, they are still skeptical about the possibility of it.
Joker just kept on explaining.
"The concept is pretty simple. Let's say, you are looking for a new weapon that suits your needs. A saber for example.
The first thing you need to do would be enter a virtual space and simulate a saber with your mind. You need to perform the techniques that form the core of your battle prowess and based on that the system will simulate, various scenarios.
You will fight those battles as long as your will power can support it and after collecting enough data, the system will provide you with the designs of sabers. It will compute and analyze all the possible mistakes within your movements and will estimate the proper weight ratio, the shape, balance, material and many more factors that I cannot list out now.
It will create a bunch of designs based on this data and each design will be rated based on a grading system. You can buy the design and the forging method along with a simulated video of forging with a set amount of coins.
This way a contestant can hire a blacksmith from outside and create their own ideal weapon."
The deans were very impressed by this. This would indeed provide a great deal of improvement in custom weapons for the students and instructors too.
"Don't you forge them yourselves?"
"Of course, we can. But the requirements for getting a weapon forged by the hub are very high."
"Why? Is the forging quality that high?"
"It is indeed very high, but I wouldn't dare claim that we are the best there is. The reason is to make sure the blacksmiths and other masters within the region will not suffer losses because of the hub.
The Hub is established in an attempt to develop a region as a whole. It should be an assisting factor.
So, getting a blacksmith from outside to forge a weapon will benefit the smith with the knowledge of the forging, materials and design.
Of course, they might take some time to get to that level, but with all the educational material, they are bound to improve."
The Deans understood, they are really impressed and mesmerized by all the things within the Hub.
One of them, the dean of the Hephaestus academy asked.
"What about the puppets? Are you going to sell them? Since you managed to make these bird puppets, I am sure you can do more than that."
Joker stayed mum for a moment and spoke.
"Well, there is one more section that I haven't explained to you guys. I told you about getting score and points that the people can redeem right?
There is a catalogue of items that they can redeem with those points and the puppets are also part of it. So, if they want to, they can get the puppets through that method.
As for selling them commercially, I am not really interested in that."
"But you will make a fortune if you put them up for sale."
Joker chuckled and spread his arms while saying.
"Looking at this establishment, do you really think that I lack any possible fortunes?"
His words stumped the deans.
"Please look around and do what you want. All the machines are operated with gold coins. So, you don't need me to guide you. But if you do, you can just call for me in that wrist band of yours."
With that Joker disappeared.
Then the deans spread out and checked out the whole establishment. They noticed that thousands of people are already inside and are checking out.
The arcade machines are full and there are many people waiting in line. The cubicles are same. Even the simulations areas are being occupied one by one.
The deans are had the same feeling. This Hub is going to change the landscape of the whole Academic Realm.
