His eye twitched, as he tried to make out how Gray had avoided.
It wasn't like that time where he teleported, this time, based on the trajectory and his positioning, it was like he had sped his figure up.
While still sliding back, Gray got a grip on himself, and fixed his positioning before kicking off the ground towards the Kessho.
The Kessho, thrust his sword down into the Airship's floor and Mineral Crystals rose up in the ground beneath Gray.
Gray avoided the Crystals which rose up as he leapt from side to side, before having no choice but to use an ability to avoid the last one which was a surge of minerals from every direction.
[Mineral Coating: Mineral Encagement.]
[Pause Step.]
Before he was entrapped in the surge of Crystals figure vanished only to appear once more behind the pearl opal haired Kessho.
From moment he had appeared, Gray already had a swing in motion heading right at the Kessho's neck.
[Fast-]
*Thump*
[Fast Forward.]
Instead of using Fast-Forward to slash at him however, he used it instead to avoid an arrow which had been shot at the location which he had pause-stepped.
*BOOM!*
The arrow ended up missing Gray completely, his figure ducked down on the floor behind the other Kessho.
A bottomless well of bloodlust was emitted from Gray, he had just about had enough.
'Just die already.' He thought to himself with a still expression.
[Pause Level 3: Pause Field.]
A field covering a five meter range expanded out from within Gray, entrapping the other Kessho within it.
The other arrows which had been fired towards Gray, instantly froze, inches behind him as they came into contact with the spherical field.
Without a hint of hesitation, Gray swung at the pearl opal haired Kessho's neck, slicing it off in a single slice.
Because he was still paused, he hadn't felt an an ounce of pain. Still, fear clouded his mind as he was aware of it.
The other Kessho fired off more arrows at Gray, but all of them froze upon touching the field.
At that moment, he realised it. He was facing off against a monster. Never could he have expected for this to have been the resulted.
He hadn't done so earlier as it was only just one person but now there was no time to think.
He turned to the alarm button beside him, before thrusting his arm out to press on it.
But by then, it was too late.
"Time stop."
Everything became black and white, the world lost it's colours.
All movement seized to function, the sounds of the battles vanished without a trace.
The breath of life from but a single being was all that could be felt.
Gray's figure which was partially frozen, creaked slightly as he slightly moved his arms.
He pulled his arms back, positioning his sword so that the blade would face the Kessho with a bow.
A desperate look rested on the face of the Dark night blue haired Kessho's with his arms stretched out towards the alarm.
The defined muscles in Gray's arms which had been steeled in the span of a few weeks, bulged out with veins as Gray took in a deep breath.
Then, all in a single motion, utilising the movement of his entire body while making use of every fiber of muscle in his body, he swung his arm forward.
His flexible arm, resembled a whip as it thrust forward. If time had been moving, the air itself would have burst forward from the pressure.
The Katana, was released from his hand, and in an instant, it covered the 40 meters of distance between Gray and the Kessho.
As it came into contact with the Kessho's face it froze.
At that moment, with a cold look in his eyes. Gray let out a deep breath and muttered.
"Unpause."
The flow of time resumed, the Kessho's eyes widened.
And before he even knew what had hit him.
*Spurt* *Splatter*
The Kessho's let go of the bow, his head with a sword impaled into it went soaring through the air, before being pinned against the floor's walls.
It was an instant death.
[You have killed a Kessho.]
[You have gained 120 XP.]
Simultaneously, the other Kessho which had been behind Gray, was also unpaused.
His head slid off his neck and his body dropped to it's knees headless before collapsing onto the ground.
A pool of blood made it's way to the bottom of Gray's shoes as a result.
[You have killed a Kessho.]
[You have gained 130 XP.]
The blue arrows which had been fired at Gray and paused from [Chronos Field] quickly dispersed upon the field's deactivation.
Gray didn't pay it two thoughts, he simply let breathed in and out before moving on.
He walked over to the doors, with a still and emotionless expression.
It was almost hid the fact that he had just killed six people, making it all the more terrifying.
"Which one of these doors... Maybe the second one?" He questioned as he stood ahead of three doors.
He had come out of the fourth one so he had instantly excluded it from the list of options.
"Or maybe the first...?" He continued, his hand trembling ever so slightly.
Gray wasnt sure about what to go with so he just picked at random. The first door seemed the most promising and so he went for it.
*Swipe*
*Beep*
He swiped his card once more, only this time a red light was emitted along with a singular beep.
Understanding what it meant, he put away the key card and walked over to the corpse of the Kessho with the bow before scavenging it for any keycards.
Its body was still pinned against the wall, thus making it easier.
"Found it."
Gray walked back over to the door and swiped again.
*Kachunk*
The sound of something being unlocked resounded across the room. Following that, the sounds of gears grinding could be heard from inside of the wall.
A green light flashed and the door slowly opened displaying another hall with a staircase at the end of it.
It had worked.
"Onto the next floor." He muttered as he walked ahead without looking back.
Suddenly, a thought hit him.
"Ah, right, I forgot."
His figure vanished and appeared before the Dark night blue haired Kessho's corpse pinned against the wall.
He grabbed onto the Katana pinning the corpse before pulling it out.
"Nearly forgot my Katana.." He muttered before vanishing once more.
