Chapter 143 – Wiping Bloodstains (1)

“Ye Mu?” Mo Linyuan endured the pain and struggled to sit up, his former vicious air gone as he stared at her. “You’re finally awake! You…what’s wrong?”

It was obviously the same person in the flesh, yet why did someone he was so familiar with give off such a bizarre feeling as if she was a stranger?

Ye Mu withdrew her hand slowly from the air. This time, her fingertips were stained with blood—his blood. After a moment’s hesitation, she gingerly brought her hand to her mouth for a sniff.

Ye Mu did not expect that, instead of the metallic and nauseating smell of blood, she could only smell a hint of sweetness in the air. A kind of sweetness that cruelly stifled the bloodlust that had been tormenting her for so long–and such an aroma assaulted her senses heavily.

Yes…they—did they hurt you?”

There was a long period of silence before Ye Mu finally spoke, her voice sounding extremely hoarse. Furthermore, her monotonous voice gave off a sense of eeriness.

The surrounding people finally reacted, and someone hurriedly said in anger, “It’s them! They wanted to kill His Majesty, but His Majesty was worried about you. He did not want to retreat until he had found you first–”

But before he could finish his words, Mo Linyuan raised an arm to cease him from speaking further. He was half lying on a makeshift bed, creases knotting his forehead as he looked at the perplexing Ye Mu. The bad feeling in his heart could only grow stronger.

“I’m all right…” As long as he is still alive and awake, that was better than death.

Ye Mu stiffly patted the back of his hand in reply. “Nothing will matter.”

Her voice became softer, almost inaudible in the sound of the rain.

“To kill–I’ll do it.”

After saying the last gloomy words, she disappeared from her spot! Her small body was extremely fast that the surrounding people all had the illusion that she had disappeared into thin air.

But then, as if testament to the unreal scene that had happened, a blood-chilling scream came from afar!

With the devil’s awakening, a one-sided massacre had begun under her hands. The assassins, who originally had an eighty percent chance of killing the emperor, were complacent and didn’t even pay any attention to her a small girl when she rushed over. They could only think in derision, ‘Where did this milk doll come from? Did she come her just to throw away her life?’

But soon, they realized how wrong they were.

The little emperor was originally protected by twenty or so inner force experts, all huddled around him, while the rest were just ordinary soldiers. When they had chased after the emperor, it had been a one-sided battle—a massacre, but after Ye Mu appeared, everything had changed against their favor.

Yet, one thing remained: it was still a massacre—with them as prey.

Cries of horror and despair filled the air. The previously arrogant masters were lazing around their own camps, but after they experienced Ye Mu’s terror, they had no choice but to stick together, gasping for breath—for a chance to escape!

However, even if they were to form a team, they were still unable to escape the fate of being brutally slaughtered.

Ye Mu’s initially white and clean clothes were gradually dyed red by blood. Ultimately in the end, no matter if she was approaching the enemy or her people on her side, she would murder them immediately without regard for the difference!

And every time she ran out of strength, she would drain the internal energy of a few people around her. At the end of the aggressive carnage, she was like a demon that had eaten her fill, standing on top of a pile of corpses with a flushed face–complete annihilation!

Some soldiers, who had long since distanced themselves from the battle, were only bystanders to the slaughter that had happened before their eyes. Even though they hadn’t slept the entire night, their spirits were still highly alert. Faces pale, they began to fight!

A single person—just a little girl, had overwhelmed four to five hundred people within two hours! Moreover, these people were not just ordinary soldiers like them, but genuine inner force experts!

Each one of them wanted to escape, but no matter how fast they try to outrun Ye Mu, she would still catch up to them. It was as if she had the ability to split up people; she alone, would block anyone who tried to escape, and after killing them all, she would pile up all the corpses in one place, forming a terrifying mountain of dead bodies!

Was she even human? Everyone was asking themselves this question.
