Chapter 141 – Awakening (1)

“Zi Xu, quickly go and fetch Wen Feng. Take Ye Mu and leave first!”

Mo Linyuan knew in his heart that even if his troops were ten times numerous, they still wouldn’t be a match for inner force experts. The only choice left was to save Ye Mu and rush straight inside the military camp at the outskirts of the city for refuge; only then would they be safe.

“Yes sir!”

After running for a while, he turned around and saw that under the pouring rain, the foot of the mountain was filled with the mixed killing intent of several people. A flash of lightning suddenly spread through the sky, ominously illuminating the mud and blood on the ground.

The battle for power were only to be this intense.

But just when he was lamenting, a loud, rumbling, sound suddenly came from atop the mountain. It was as if thunder had struck the temple.

Could it be that something happened in the temple?!

Thinking of this, Zi Xu quickened his pace towards his destination. Soon, he saw that despite the rain, the top of the mountain was lit up with uncontrollable flames. The fire was getting bigger and fiercer, to the point that the rain couldn’t extinguish it!

Amidst the thick smoke and raging flames, the disciples that wanted to rush in and rescue them were trapped outside. Among them was Wen Feng, who didn’t know how many had died or were still alive. But he then saw the Silent Buddhist Master supporting himself against the wall as blood continuously gushed out from the corner of his mouth.

“Master! We will come save you right now!” A disciple anxiously shouted outside, listening silently to what was happening inside. But his entire body couldn’t help but tense up. In order to prevent them from rushing in, their master had hurriedly stopped them with a forceful palm, blocking everyone outside.

Within the fire, a little girl dressed in white slowly turned around. Her figure was fuzzy as she covered her head, her expression one of extreme pain as her face contorted.

All sorts of chaotic external Qi reversed their course within her body. Yet, Ye Mu was still unaware of everything that had transpired—only that she was woken up. Right now, her chest felt as if it was burning, and she felt inexplicable anger to the point she wanted to commit murder!

Ye Mu slowly wiped the blood off her mouth after being awoken.

“You… do you still remember Mo Linyuan?” the Silent Buddhist Master hesitantly asked.

The two words ‘Mo Linyuan’ made the little girl react subtlety. Seeing her fiercely stare at him, he gave a silent and bitter laugh. Never before had he felt so guilty of an action. He pointed outside, towards where the battlefield was, “He is… waiting for you at the foot of the mountain.”

After he finished speaking, Ye Mu disappeared from out of the fire leaving a loud bang. The entire hall was on the verge of collapse with this collision, but it also opened up a path for those monks that wanted to save people inside.

He silently looked out through the hole she had left. And in the pitch-black night, the fire around him was still burning, the rain outside not even about to stop any moment. Only when Ye Mu disappeared with a tumultuous murderous aura did he finally slumped to the ground as if all his energy had been sucked out.

This night was destined to be filled with corpses.

Zi Xu, who was on the way, suddenly felt a murderous intent coming towards him. But before he could see who it was, he subconsciously used his sword to block it!

A “peng” sound suddenly echoed through the night! His palm trembled until it felt numb, and the sword in his hand was broken. The wind from his opponent’s palm carried an aura of death. If he had not dodged so quickly, the next to break would have been his neck!

“Who is it!”

Zi Xu and the others immediately became alert and looked around. What on earth was that small and fast figure just now?!

Ye Mu squatted on a branch that was as thin as a wooden chopstick and shook it. She curled up her body and used both of her hands to grab onto her toes as she stared at the people below her.

I want to kill!
