Translator: Sissy That Walk

They are roughly of the same height and Di Qiuhe was slightly taller. However, it was hard on He Bai when those two stood together looking at each other as he was half a head shorter than them. He looked at those locked hands and observed those two faces covered with masks. After much deliberation, he backed up two steps and held up his camera.

Click.

This was the first picture ever taken between the two working partners.

Seeing that, Di immediately let go of Xing Shaofeng and tilted his head to look at He Bai. He wiped his hand on his clothes to show that what happened didn’t mean anything. He was reminded of how the little puppy introduced him like a pimp. He simply couldn’t allow anyone ruin his chance with the little puppy! He couldn’t afford to let the little puppy get any weird idea about what he just did back there!

Upon seeing Di’s reaction, Xing Shaofeng withdrew his hand into the pocket of his coat and said slowly, “Mr. Di. Do you have something against a patient like me?”

He Bai turned the camera closer to Xing.

Frowning, Di turned sideways to block his camera and cast a bewildered look at Xing Shaofeng.

Xing swept a look at how he stood and raised his head to meet with Di’s eyes. He suddenly realized something and pulled his mask half way down to show him his face before quickly pulling it up again. He then carefully observed how Di reacted to his look.

It was by no means a pretty face, what with the swollen pimples and blisters. The sight of that yellow and white residues from applying the medications was too much to take that it could kill anyone’s appetite.

The surprised look only lasted for a second before Di quickly regained his usually calmness. He reached out his hand to Xing Shaofeng again and said slowly, “Mr. Xing, I didn’t mean anything by that. I am sorry and I wish you get better soon.” As a photographer, Little puppy had some beauty complex. It was highly probable that Little Puppy only became friend with him out of sympathy for his wretched face. Seeing as Little Puppy was so kind, naturally he couldn’t be too harsh with the one close to Little Puppy.

Determined not to embarrass Little Puppy, he softened up his expression and eyes and by the look of him now, he looked just as amiable as he was made out to be by everyone around him.

Seeing that, He Bai quickly turned his camera back to him, all the while pressing on the shutter like crazy. Inwardly, he couldn’t have agreed more with how Di carried himself now.

‘This is it! That’s how you win over the heart of those rich people. Let’s get him! You can be quite dependable at a moment like this! Good job!’

As if sensing the recognition of his loved one, Di smiled even more heartily.

‘What an astonishing break away from the previous aloof altitude.’

With that thought, Xing put on a smiling face and reached out to hold his hand. He didn’t loosen his grip for about two seconds and as he saw He Bai approaching, he took out his name card and delivered it to him, “I will think about your suggestion. In the meantime, my condition requires me to stay in the hospital for a little while. I am really sorry. I will contact you once I am out. See you around.” After saying those words, he gave Di a nod and turned back and left.

Di’s jealousy lightened a bit when he saw that He Bai had not the slightest intention of asking him to stay. He came closer to He Bai and asked with a flattering voice, “Little Puppy, what suggestion have you made to him? Does it have anything to do with me?” After finishing those words, he stretched out his hand, trying to hug him.

“Shoot! I forget to take photos!” With the name card in his hand, He Bai hurried to him and targeted the camera at the back of Xing’s receding figures. He didn’t stop taking pictures until Xing was long gone. “What a pity. I should have taken some pictures of that rare scene. What a waste!”

Disappointed at the fact he failed to hug him, Di Qiuhe withdrew his hands and tried hard to regain his composure, “You know him well? You wanna take photos of him?”

“Of course. Don’t let that wretched face fool you. When he gets better, you will see just what a handsome man he is! This is my best shot at taking his ugly pictures! Right, what was your question again?” He Bai turned back to look at Di Qiuhe, only to see that the gentleness was slowly fading away from his face and his eyes was growing sharper. His heart skipped at a beat when he saw this sudden change. Di Qiuhe, however, tried to rein in his frustration and replied, “Nothing. I was just wondering whether you have had dinner yet? Are you hungry?” So he was just being mischievous. It was not because he liked him. He Bai didn’t feel the need to take special measure at this moment.

With the masking covering the lower half of his face, He Bai couldn’t read his overall expression. He only noticed a sudden change in his look and then he gradually calmed down, as if the previous excitement was just an illusion.

He Bai frowned when he noticed something weird going on inside his chest, which was usually not a good sign.

The two got on the car parked outside and together they left the airport.

The car moved to the main road and kept on going smoothly. Just when Di Qiuhe was about to ask He Bai about Xing, he noticed that He Bai had already dozed off with his head tilted to one side.

He paused, and the last bit of jealousy left in his heart was overtaken by his affection. He slowly stretched out his hand, trying to stroke He Bai’s face. Suddenly, a car whizzed by and the frightened Di quickly withdrew his hands back to the wheel and kept focusing on the traffic.

Inside the car, there was only silence. So silent in fact, that one could hear other people breathing. He Bai kept his eyes shut and clenched his hands holding the camera. He had planned to stay cool, but now, he wasn’t sure what he should do. Should he confirm what this feeling going on in his heart was right now, or should he stick to his original plan?

Most importantly, he was not sure whether he should stick to his plan to sleep in a separate room. After all, his mind was now filled with juicy plots. If they shared a bed, there was no telling whether he would be able to stop himself from taking advantage of Di. What if his desire got the better of him and he ended up tearing up Di’s clothes? What if he couldn’t quench his desire to try out what he had learned from the gay movies on Di Qiuhe?
