Yang Dingtian had fallen into a painful dilemma.
“Damn it!” Yang Dingtian instantly cursed and turned to rush into the den of the wolves.
When that group of pirates who were in pursuit saw that Yang Dingtian didn’t flee but turned back instead, they were instantly astonished and quickly scattered in all directions.
…
“Boss, this woman looks weird. Her body is getting increasingly red…” That junior pirate suddenly stated.
The pirate boss slightly regained his composure and saw that this woman looked as though she was really burning up. Her originally pale-looking face was now bright as a blossomed flower and had an imposing red glow, which made her charming figure even more compelling.
He could instinctively feel a danger as though he was about to touch a poisonous flower.
He wanted to back away, but he was reluctant.
After all, it’s a life or death choice.
“I don’t care. Even if I die, I still want her…” The pirate boss made his final decision and immediately pounced at Dugu Fengwu’s delicate body.
“Bang!”
When the pirate boss pounced, he did crash, but it wasn’t on the beauty’s soft body, it was on the cold hard flooring instead.
When he lifted his head to look, he saw that woman was tied up by a rope and was dragged into the sea.
“Ahhh… my beauty…” The pirate boss was infuriated as he suddenly went on a pursuit.
Right at the final moment, Yang Dingtian used the Devil Silk to wrap around Dugu Fengwu and pulled her into the sea. He then quickly turned around and used the Water Separation Elixir to run desperately while Dugu Fengwu was being pulled behind.
*******************************
After consuming the Water Separation Elixir, Yang Dingtian traveled several miles in the water and finally stopped in an uninhabited island.
He stopped because Ning Rou’er and her daughter couldn’t take it anymore.
On the uninhabited island, Yang Dingtian put down Ning Rou’er and little Ning Ning. He noticed that little Ning Ning was fine and had just passed out, but Ning Rou’er’s eyes were shut tightly, and her face was pale. Her breathing was extremely weak, and her abdomen was bulging, as though she had swallowed quite a bit of seawater.
Yang Dingtian was alarmed. He had been very cautious not to let Ning Rou’er drown in the water. How did this happen?
He quickly put Ning Rou’er down on the beach and pressed on her abdomen.
Instantly, she spat out plenty of seawater from her mouth.
Yang Dingtian carried her upside down and finally forced out all the seawater.
But she still didn’t wake up, and her breathing and pulses were getting weaker.
Yang Dingtian extended his hand to press on her heart and tried to resuscitate her, but she still didn’t regain consciousness.
“I am doing this to rescue you, not intentionally taking advantage of you. I’m sorry,” Yang Dingtian apologized.
He then pinched her nose and helped her do artificial respiration.
After doing it three times, he went and pumped her heart again.
Afterward, he did the artificial respiration again.
Once, twice, thrice…
On the last attempt, when Yang Dingtian was breathing the outside air…
“Heh…” Ning Rou’er let out a soft moan and slowly opened her eyes. She just happened to see Yang Dingtian’s face leaving her face, while her eyes instantly widened.
“Ahh…” Yang Dingtian quickly moved back and anxiously tried to explain, “I, I am just trying to save you. I was doing the artificial respiration.”
Ning Rou’er’s face grew red as she looked at Yang Dingtian and said softly, “I understand.”
“I am really not taking advantage of you,” Yang Dingtian explained.
“I understand. I trust you,” Ning Rou’er spoke in a soft voice, and she was telling the truth. If Yang Dingtian were trying to take advantage of her, he would have done other actions too, but he didn’t.
“My body is very frail and is worse than little Ning Ning’s. Just the splashing of the seawater was enough to make me stop breathing and my heart to stop.” Ning Rou’er said softly, “Thank you; you saved me again.”
Immediately after, Ning Rou’er stood up and went to hug little Ning Ning.
“Ahh…” Just as Ning Rou’er sat up, she let out a soft exclaim.
Because she saw that her clothes were completely drenched, she was wearing a kind of very expensive silk clothing, and a little splash of water would cause the silk cloth to stick onto the body. She instinctively covered her body and curled up her legs.
But she quickly stopped this action, as she felt that it would hurt Yang Dingtian.
Yang Dingtian also just noticed this about Ning Rou’er and was slightly surprised. He then used his most natural attitude to turn around and say, “I will go start a fire and see that woman at the same time.”
“Oh…” Ning Rou’er spoke softly.
**************************
Soon enough, Yang Dingtian started a fire behind a large boulder.
“Lady Ning, put your clothes on the boulder to dry them. I will be on the other side of the boulder.” Yang Dingtian said, “Give little Ning Ning to me. I will use my mystic qi to force out the moisture from her body and dry up her clothes.”
“Eh…” Ning Rou’er handed little Ning Ning to Yang Dingtian.
Little Ning Ning looked as though she was unconscious yet as though she was sleeping and had not awakened yet. But her small face was flushed and didn’t suffer any injuries at all.
“Ning Ning’s innate talent is great, and her body constitution is also excellent,” Ning Rou’er explained.
Yang Dingtian carried little Ning Ning over to the other side of the giant boulder and sat down to circulate his mystic qi. Warm energy was produced from his body as he dried up little Ning Ning’s drenched body.
On the other side of the giant boulder, Ning Rou’er had placed her clothes near the fire to dry them up, and she was wearing nothing on her body.
Yang Dingtian looked at Dugu Fengwu, who was lying down and was unconscious. The redness from her face had subsided and was now very pale.
The seawater had cleansed the blood on her body, and the wound on her chest wasn’t bleeding any more. Right now, she looked like a stunning sleeping beauty.
“Your name is Yang Dingtian?” Ning Rou’er asked in a soft voice from the other side of the boulder.
“Yes,” Yang Dingtian nodded and replied. Ning Rou’er heard his name when Dugu Fengwu called out.
“I know you.” Ning Rou’er said, “I am from the Sky Phoenix Pavilion.”
The Sky Phoenix Pavilion was one of the Twenty Seven Branches from the Three Sects, Nine Clans, Twenty Seven Branches.
The members of the Heaven Dao Union came from all the renowned and prestigious branches around the world. The Sky Phoenix Pavilion was the only influential faction, which was comparatively more powerful than the Wooden Sword Castle, and their prowess wasn’t just in name.
But, the Sky Phoenix Pavilion never meddled in the worldly affairs and had always maintained neutrality.
There was another reason that the Sky Phoenix Pavilion was well-known for. They were known for their disciples, who were all females, and they were all pure like jade. Those who enter the Sky Phoenix Pavilion must never marry in their lifetime.
“Little Brother. Can I call you Little Brother from now?” Ning Rou’er asked softly.
“That’s fine,” Yang Dingtian responded.
Ning Rou’er asked, “You must be wondering, why do I, a woman of the Sky Phoenix Pavilion, gave birth to a child, right?”
Yang Dingtian instantly kept his silence.
“I, I was forcefully violated…” Ning Rou’er spoke with a sobbing voice.
Yang Dingtian instantly flared up and asked, “Who is it?! I am going to kill him!”
“I do not know who he is.” Ning Rou’er explained, “One day when my master sent me and two of my senior sisters to the Ecstasy Cliff, which wasn’t far from Wooden Sword Castle. Do you know of that place?”
Yang Dingtian was astonished as he said, “I coincidentally know it.”
“There is actually a secret room on the top of Ecstasy Cliff. It was where that Heaven Dao Union’s traitor from two centuries ago, where that monster Li Tianxiao was hiding in seclusion after he was severely injured,” Ning Rou’er explained softly.
“Ahh…” Yang Dingtian was surprised.
“When we found the secret room, that man was there as well. His martial prowess was at a very high level. Even the three of us weren’t a match for him. He quickly defeated us and just as he was going to kill us… he saw my face and instantly changed his mind. He, he forcefully defiled me…”
When Ning Rou’er spoke until this point, she finally cried out, and her voice was filled with shame.
“Afterwards, I wanted to kill myself, but he was too powerful and didn’t allow me to do so. We then lived in that secret room for more than a month. During that period, he treated me very well and didn’t violate me again. He asked me to follow him back, but I didn’t agree, no matter what. He wasn’t willing to let me go. Hence we continued to stay in the secret room. When my master saw that none of us returned for a long time, she was worried that we might have encountered danger; thus, she came looking for us at Ecstasy Cliff. As a result, she saw him and had an intense battle.”
“He might be formidable, but my master is a Master class expert. He was in a perilous situation and nearly lost his life. Finally, with the help of medicines, he managed to escape. When he was fleeing, he asked me to go find him at the East Parting Courtyard.” Ning Rou’er paused before saying, “Master knew that I had been tainted, but she knew that I was violated. Hence, she didn’t blame me. She then brought us back to Sky Phoenix Pavilion. But unexpectedly, I realized that I was pregnant after returning, and my mystic qi was slowly fading away.”
“I was originally the most outstanding disciple of the Sky Phoenix Pavilion and was set to inherit the Hostess’ surplice. But, I was actually tainted by a man and got pregnant. Thus, all the sisters in the pavilion despised me and pointed out at me. But master still pardoned me and found a secluded valley in the Sky Phoenix Pavilion for me to reside and give birth to my child. She even said that it wasn’t my fault and that she would personally nurture little Ning Ning so that she can take over as the new Sky Phoenix Pavilion’s Hostess on my behalf.”
“Thus, even though I was very unfortunate, I had a master that loved and tolerated me. I originally thought that I would just live my entire life in the valley and watch how little Ning Ning grew up until the day she became the Hostess of the Sky Phoenix Pavilion. But…” Ning Rou’er’s voice changed in a mournful tone, “But, half a year ago, my master went on the trip and never returned. Everyone was worried, but they didn’t think much of it. Until the Sky Phoenix Festival, which was one month ago, yet my master still had yet to return. Therefore, everyone felt that the master wasn’t going to return any more. Subsequently, my Martial Aunt became the new Hostess, and she felt that I was a disgrace to the Sky Phoenix Pavilion, and drove little Ning Ning and me out.”
Immediately after, Ning Rou’er corrected her words, “Actually, she didn’t drive us out. She asked me to bring little Ning Ning to look for her father.”
“Sister Rou’er. Do you like him?” Yang Dingtian suddenly asked.
“I, I don’t know.” Ning Ruo’er said, “He said he liked me, he loved me, and he was willing to give up everything for me.”
“Sigh…” Yang Dingtian sighed lightly and said, “When I get back Cloud Heaven City, and if you are not having a good time over at his side, you can come to Cloud Heaven City and look for me. I will treat you like my own elder sister and do my best to nurture little Ning Ning.”
Ning Rou’er stayed silent for a moment and replied softly, “Alright.”
Immediately after, Ning Rou’er suddenly said, “If it isn’t for the fact that I cannot protect Ning Ning, I won’t go look for him, I am not willing to look for him. He might be the only man that I have, but my heart has this scar that will never be erased. But, but, he did violate me. I-I don’t know how I should say this. In short, don’t look down on me…”
“I understand, I understand…” Yang Dingtian replied.
“Ah…” Suddenly, Ning Rou’er exclaimed.
“What happened?” Yang Dingtian asked anxiously.
“There is a ship. There is a ship in the sea. Have the pirates caught up?” Ning Rou’er said, “Little Brother, the people on the ship can see me. I am coming over to wear my clothes.”
*************************
Yang Dingtian was alarmed. He put down little Ning Ning and ran over to the other side of the boulder. He extinguished the fire and laid down to observe the ship in the sea.
There was a total of three ships that looked magnificent, and they had the flags of the Heaven Dao Union. On the other side of the flag was a symbol of a soaring phoenix.
“Sister Rou’er, those aren’t the pirates. They are the Sky Phoenix Pavilion from the northwest continent’s foothold. They must be looking for you,” Yang Dingtian said.
One could identify from the flag to see this group was from the Sky Phoenix Pavilion’s foothold in the northwest continent and not the headquarters of the Sky Phoenix Pavilion. When all the various distinguished branches left their own territory, they have to hang up the Heaven Dao Union’s flag in order to roam the other regions.
“Ning Rou’er, is that you?” A woman’s voice called out from the ship.
“It’s Senior Yang Min. She was sent to the northwest continent half a year ago,” Ning Rou’er said.
She quickly wore her clothes and waved towards the large ship while calling out, “Senior Sister Yang, I am over here.”
Soon enough, four sword-wielding females floated down from the ship. With a light tip of their toes, they flew like the wind and swiftly arrived in front of Ning Rou’er and Yang Dingtian.
The disciples from Sky Phoenix Pavilion were truly all very beautiful.
They were all wearing different colored dresses, indicating their different ranks. The leader was Yang Min, who was wearing a pink embroidered dress. She was very tall, and she had well-developed breasts. She had a gorgeous looking face, especially those red lips which were ample and captivating.
“Ning Rou’er, who is this man?” When Yang Min saw the exposed Yang Dingtian, her shapely brows knitted as she asked in a chilly voice.
“He is my benefactor. He was the one that rescued me from the pirates,” Ning Rou’er explained.
Yang Min scanned her doubtful eyes across Ning Rou’er and Yang Dingtian.
“The main pavilion’s seabird sent us a message, saying the sea wasn’t peaceful. They asked us to send out ships to pick you up and escort you to the East Parting Courtyard,” Yang Min spoke while having this despising and envious expression.
It was obvious that little Ning Ning’s father was an influential figure. Hence the Sky Phoenix Pavilion was treating them so seriously.
“Thank you, Senior Sister,” Ning Rou’er responded.
Yang Min said, “Pack your things and come along with us.”
“Little Brother, you should come with me. The pirates might come at any moment. Return to the northwest continent back with us first,” Ning Rou’er said to Yang Dingtian.
“No!” Yang Min spoke coldly, “The Sky Phoenix Pavilion’s ship will not let any man board it.”
Ning Rou’er pleaded, “But he is my benefactor.”
Yang Min said, “The rules of the Sky Phoenix Pavilion must not be broken. At least, one mustn’t break it the second time, Ning Rou’er.”
Yang Min looked at Ning Rou’er with eyes that were implying something, which were filled with sarcasm and criticism.
Ning Rou’er had been struck where she was hurt. Her expression immediately turned deathly pale.
“Madam Ning, a man like me would be inconvenient to board the ship of the Sky Phoenix Pavilion. Would you be able to grant me a small boat instead? This place is just a few hundred miles from the northwest continent, and I can row myself there,” Yang Dingtian proposed.
Ning Rou’er said, “But, you still have her with you. You will be in danger again when she awakens. Furthermore, there are plenty of pirates on the sea.”
“Pirates? We have already killed them back to their lair.” Yang Min said, “We can offer him a boat, but he must never board the ship with us!”
Afterward, Yang Min stepped forward to carry Ning Rou’er by her waist, while another Sky Phoenix Pavilion’s disciple went over to carry little Ning Ning. Tipping off the ground, they swiftly flew back to the large ship.
“Little Brother, if you have the spare time, come look for me at East Parting Courtyard!” Ning Rou’er yelled out to Yang Dingtian.
“I will!” Yang Dingtian replied loudly.
“Wait a moment…” Ning Rou’er struggled to get off from Yang Min and suddenly came over to hug Yang Dingtian.
Yang Dingtian was instantly astonished.
“Ning Rou’er, what are you doing?!” Yang Min indignantly rebuked.
Ning Rou’er tore off a piece of her clothing and stuffed it into Yang Dingtian’s hand.
“Little Brother, there is something inside the cloth which was obtained from Li Tianxiao. It should be very precious, and I have no use for it. You take it,” Ning Rou’er whispered into Yang Dingtian’s ears.
As soon as she finished, Ning Rou’er turned and walked away.
“You truly have no shame,” Yang Min reprimanded coldly.
*********************
The Sky Phoenix Pavilion’s ship took Ning Rou’er and little Ning Ning away, leaving behind a boat for Yang Dingtian.
When they were far away, Yang Dingtian loosened his palm. It was half a piece of inner clothing which was knitted with pink silk, which Ning Rou’er had always been wearing on her.
Ning Rou’er said that there was something in it, and Yang Dingtian couldn’t help but pinch it. He realized that there was indeed something in between the layers. As he looked from the needlework, it looked as though it was sewn on recently. She might have sewn it on when she decided to leave the Sky Phoenix Pavilion to go look for that man.
Yang Dingtian gently opened up the layers of the inner silk clothing and took out that item.
It was a piece of paper, which was very thin and yet very sharp. Furthermore, it must have been around for a long time, as it looked like it was aged and ancient.
On the paper was a diagram, which looked like a map.
It was cluttered with many wordings, and Yang Dingtian could even recognize a few words. His master, Dongfang Niemie, had taught him the important wordings of this world, but there were numerous different languages in the world. Especially those races which were isolated from the world, which used a completely different kind of language. The wording of this paper should be some mysterious race’s wordings.
Soon enough, Yang Dingtian gave up on identifying these wordings as he had no idea.
Immediately after, Yang Dingtian was instantly attracted by that lump of flames that was in the center of the diagram.
It was a red flame that was bright red like blood and spiritual like an immortal! This flame looked as though it was alive. It was incomparably beautiful and captivating.
“Could this be a map for the heaven and earth mystic flame?” Yang Dingtian’s heart jumped, while his blood surged in his body, and his breathing instantly got erratic.
The heaven and earth mystic flame was paramount for any martial artist. It could even be considered as a spirit soul of a martial artist.
Everyone knew that when a martial artist reached the rank of the Great Mystic Martial Master, they had to refine their core flame. With the core flame, the martial artist’s cultivation would instantly advance in leaps and bounds, as they would be able to practice mystic skills, create a martial soul, and many other things…
Most of the martial artists in the world would go look for a demonic beast mystic flames to refine their own core flame. But for the most elite martial artists in the world, they had to go find the heaven and earth mystic flames.
As the name suggested, it was a mystic flame that absorbed limitless energy in heaven and earth and was born after a millennium.
This was a flame that possessed life and spirit soul; it was an extremely formidable flame.
Once the heaven and earth mystic flame was refined into a core flame, everything would only require half the effort and be able to achieve great advancement. Even if the martial artist didn’t do anything and simply mixed the core flame into a mystic skill or martial skill, they would be able to kill experts who were much stronger than them.
In the entire world, there were less than six individuals who were able to refine the heaven and earth mystic flame as their core flame. All those people were Grandmaster class martial experts and were standing on the pinnacle of the Primal Chaos World!
