Chapter 327 Dining in Luxury

Excitement rippled through the crowd of girls and boys as they caught sight of Rio and Layla. The couple were legendary figures, especially Rio, who had defeated Ambrose Havenglow. Students pulled out their phones to snap photos, while others eagerly approached them for autographs.

Rio was taken aback by this sudden popularity and was unsure how to push them away and escape from the crowd. However, soon he saw a glimmer of hope.

"Don't make it hard for him... Clear the way," Teacher Milena's voice rang out as she stepped forward to help them navigate through the throng of admirers.

Upon hearing Teacher Milena's voice, the students groaned and cursed under their breath, but reluctantly stepped back to make way for Rio and Layla. One student muttered, "Why does she always have to ruin our fun?"

Rio mouthed a silent "thank you" to Milena, which she acknowledged with a nod. With the way cleared, Nyla, Sophia, Lucas, Rio, and Layla followed Milena to the school office room, relieved to be free from the mob of students clamoring for their attention.

As they entered the office, they encountered a middle-aged man whose eyes widened in surprise at the sight of them. Not only had the legendary hero's child arrived, but he was accompanied by Lily Havenglow and Nyla Mailon.

Although Nyla wasn't as famous as the other two, the mere presence of all three of them together was enough to astonish the man. The atmosphere in the room grew heavy as the weight of the combined influence of the three figures settled over him.

But now that you have even defeated a silver-stage warrior, I doubt this school will be able to teach you much. In fact, you might be able to give us pointers at your level and guide us. Along with you, Before anyone else could speak, Teacher Milena cut in, "Steve, I'm here for his promotion to the second year. Please finish this as soon as possible without any unnecessary formalities."

Her stern tone prompted the middle-aged man to come out of his daze and take a heavy breath before nodding with a smile as he quickly typed on the computer and brought up a large screen.

The reason they had all gathered here was that one year had passed, and in order for Rio to move on to the second year, he only needed to attend this small task for his promotion to the higher class.

Although the boy wanted to skip school altogether after what had happened, both Nyla and Layla insisted that he should finish, as he was going to receive special treatment this year.

"Here, you need to put your school ID card on the screen to let it scan and update it, and you'll officially be promoted to the next year," the man instructed.

Rio looked at Nyla, who suddenly realized that she had forgotten to give him his school ID. "Oh, I forgot to give this to you," she said, quickly retrieving it from her purple hobo bag and handing it over to the boy.

Milena, Lucas, and Sophia raised their eyebrows at the exchange, well aware of Rio's relationship with Nyla. But the lingering question was how he would manage that connection now that his beautiful fiancée, Layla, was with him.

Rio placed his ID on the screen, and a blue line swept across it, accompanied by a beep. "It's done. You're now a second-year special student," Steve announced.

Rio furrowed his brow and asked, "What does 'special student' mean?"

Standing beside them, Milena explained in a soft tone, "It means that you do not need to attend regular classes and can focus solely on your training in the Land of Asura. Last year, you were not given this opportunity because you were not ready and had been stuck somewhere for a month.

But now that you have even defeated a silver-stage warrior, I doubt this school will be able to teach you much. In fact, you might be able to give us pointers at your level and guide us. Along with you, Nyla will also be given this rank." She turned to look at Nyla, who took out her school ID card.

This time, Steve was prepared. He updated the screen with Nyla's information before gesturing for her to place her school ID card on it. Another beep and blue light scanned, confirming her status and signifying that both of their promotions were complete.

Feeling grateful, Rio turned to Teacher Milena and said, "Thank you, Teacher."

"It's just strange that I was narrating the story of your own parents to you as if they were someone else. But I must say, it was my honor to teach someone with the blood of legendary heroes running through their veins, so don't thank me," Teacher Milena responded with a warm smile.

Rio was drowned in unknown emotions and was thinking how she was praising his parents whom he had never even met except his mother who came to protect him out of nowhere and then disappeared again...

Once everything was settled, Lucas playfully chided Rio, "Brother, you completely forgot about us after the tournament."

Layla interjected, her voice gentle but firm, "Let's talk somewhere else."

Everyone understood her desire to move the conversation out of the school office to a more private location.

After saying their goodbyes to Teacher Milena, the group exited the school building. Layla and Rio shared one car to make their escape from the school's vicinity, while Sophia drove another with Lucas, and Nyla took her own vehicle. It wasn't long before word of their visit spread like wildfire on social media, as students excitedly shared the news of Rio and Layla's joint appearance at the Golden Seal Military School.

The three cars eventually pulled up to a posh, exclusive restaurant. Rio glanced around, feeling slightly out of place in such a luxurious setting – he had never dined at such an extravagant place before. The entrance doors opened, revealing an eerily empty interior, devoid of the typical chatter and clinking of glasses.
