The fierce clash between them continued, and with each passing moment, it took its toll on Rio's battered body. As his injuries accumulated, his strength waned, and his movements became more sluggish. Despite this, his stubborn heart to save Layla remained unshaken, and his eyes blazed with unyielding resolve.

Sensing Rio's waning energy, the old man intensified his efforts. His attacks grew more ferocious, intending to crush Rio's spirit once and for all. However, Rio met each strike head-on, refusing to yield to the pain.

*Clank!* *Clank!* *Clank!* *Clank!*

The intense duel persisted, the sound of clashing swords echoing through the air like a symphony of destruction. The onlookers watched in stunned silence, captivated by Rio's unbreakable will.

As the boy's body trembled under the strain, his vision blurred and his limbs grew heavy. Yet, he refused to give in. In a desperate attempt, Rio launched himself at the old man once more, their swords meeting in a dazzling exchange of sparks.

Meanwhile, the other beaten warriors had distanced themselves from the main fight, watching in awe as the young boy and the old man continued their ferocious clash. Despite their injuries, they were captivated by the spectacle unfolding before them.

For another thirty minutes, the battle intensified, with each passing moment taking its toll on Rio's battered body. The old man's relentless attacks left him bruised and bloodied, but his stubborn heart remained unbroken.

As the moon glimmered in the sky and stars twinkled above, the young boy's unyielding spirit shone through, illuminating the scene with a fiery, magical glow. Their figures in the sky remained locked in battle, the intensity of their clash refusing to diminish.

Throughout the fight, Rio struggled to find an opportunity to use his battle art technique. The old man's relentless assault left him no room to charge and execute his powerful techniques like [Heaven Destroyer] or [Overload Destroyer]. Rio's frustration and exhaustion grew as he desperately searched for an opening.

Finally, after enduring countless blows, Rio fell to the ground like a broken kite, his body battered and exhausted, blood oozing from his wounds. He lay there, his breathing shallow and ragged, as if each breath could be his last, while the old man descended from the sky, recalling his winged beast soul, and approached the fallen young warrior.

As the old man raised his weapon to deliver the final blow, Rio gathered the last of his strength and managed to block the attack with a clanking sound as the sword met his blade.

He gritted his teeth and mumbled to himself, "I won't give up, until my last breath."

Though his body screamed in agony, his unyielding spirit refused to let him surrender. He attempted to charge his sword with [Overload Destroyer], but the old man, anticipating his move, interrupted him with a punch that sent him reeling backward.

As the battle continued into the twilight, Rio gathered his strength once again. Onlookers held their breath, unsure of what the outcome would be. Despite Rio's weakened state, his steady will and love for Layla continued to fuel his unbreakable spirit. The outcome of the battle remained uncertain.

The fight between Rio and the old man raged on, this time on the ground, the clash of their swords and the force of their battle arts echoing throughout the vicinity.

Inside the tower, Layla could hear the sounds of battle, but she was unaware that it was Rio fighting for her outside. She longed to see what was happening, but she was trapped in a silver cage, a rare beast soul of the old man, rendering her unable to escape.

As the old man's attack hit him hard, Rio seemed to collapse to the ground like a rag doll, his body heavy with exhaustion and injuries. He tried to stand up using his sword's blade as a base, but it was clear that he wouldn't be able to stand this time.

The onlookers, some of whom were feeling pity, sighed as they saw the young boy finally unable to fight anymore and on the verge of being killed. Other onlookers cheered for the old man's impending victory, their excitement was at its peak.

With a sinister smile, the old man hovered his hand in the air, summoning the cage from the tower above. The cage descended, landing near the battleground, and Layla was revealed inside, her eyes filled with fear and concern.

As Layla saw who was this boy and recognized Rio, she started crying, her eyes bursting with tears as she reached out with her hand but couldn't, as the boy was far away and she was inside the cage.

Her voice cried out, "Nooo, Rioooo!" Her plea could be heard as she cried for the boy.

"See what happens when you defy me and choose to marry someone else, Lily? Today, I'll take this boy's life right before your eyes. So that you'll never make this mistake again," the old man spoke coldly, his eyes fixated on Layla's tearful gaze.

The old man slowly raised his hand, his fingertips glowing with an ominous energy that crackled with electricity. As he began to cast his ultimate battle art technique, the sky above them seemed to tremble with foreboding energy. Dark clouds rolled in, and the air grew thick with anticipation.

"Heaven's Thunderbolt!!!" the old man bellowed as a massive bolt of heavenly thunder descended from the clouds, striking the ground with a deafening roar that shook the very earth beneath their feet. The light from the blast enveloped the boy, casting a blinding white light that made it impossible to see anything else.

The onlookers held their breath, knowing that this was the old man's ultimate attack, one that could easily take the life of even a silver-stage warrior.

"Rioooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!", Layla's desperate cry echoed through the battleground.
