She got embarrassed invading the love bird's privacy. Helia said with a bashful tone, "Sorry I came at the wrong time."

The blonde-haired beauty retracted back her footsteps from the room when Lia hastily stopped her with a coyish face, "We are not doing anything like that. You can come."

"Yeah. We are definitely not doing anything like that." Rio said in a serious voice and mischievously teased Lia.

"Hey..." She hissed with a puffed face and pinched her husband's waist to punish him.

"Aaeyhhh...my wife is a bully" Rio cried out in pain that was mixed with sarcasm as if telling the world his wife torture him.

Helia witnessed their playfulness and returned with feeble red cheeks.

She placed the Elemental affinity Awakening Crystal on the table in front of the love birds before sitting on the opposite gray couch.

Rio asked in a secretive tone, "Hey, Lioness. What would you do if one day I become a threat to the Asura race? Would you come after my life?"

As the blonde-haired beauty sat, the boy dropped a mind-blowing 'Landmine' by asking another unexpected question that made her frown deeply and her face drowned in bitterness.

"I won't be answering your childish questions," Helia said in a violent manner as this was a sensitive question.

"Helia, You should Answer him." Lia urged her sister in a gentle manner.

The lioness looked at the white-haired beauty with an expression of betrayal on her face. She expected her beloved sister to not trap her in this kind of question where she may insult Lia's husband in front of her.

"Okay...I'll answer your stupid question just because she is saying.

If a day comes when you became an enemy of the Asura race then I'll capture you with all my power and defend our people at any cost. However, I'll leave the killing of you up to Lia."

Helia said in a calm tone but there was a hint of aggressiveness as she tried coming up with an answer that wouldn't hurt her sweet sister.

"What if Lia stands by my side to fight the Asuras and the Emperor? Whose side would you be standing then?" Rio asked, narrowing his eyes to observe her facial expressions and change in emotions.

"I'll protect Lia even if I have to go against everyone. She is the only person I have in this ruthless world. Uncle never even cared about me.

He didn't even help me to unearth the truth behind big brother Leon's death or send people to find out what happened in the Bloodhill wilderness where he got badly injured.

Not only that but he even restricted me from doing so myself." Helia said in a sorrowful tone as a fierce expression enveloped her adorable face.

She had suffered a lot in the past and remembering her brother's death ignited the flame of agony.

When she was little she felt betrayed by everyone as they all stopped cherishing her with the same affection as before. They used to adore her when Helia's big brother Leon was alive as if their show of endearment was to get favors from him.

She understood that this heartless selfish world wouldn't care about you without any motives. Helia didn't feel an attachment to anyone besides her sister Lia who had learned this very long ago.

Hearing Helia's answer, Rio was satisfied as Lia already told him he can trust her.

The boy said in a composed manner, "There is going to be a great war in the future. Some of the strong clans of Asuras and Humans would both join hands together to wage a war against Lia.

They would conspire to kill her for some unknown reason. I don't know the details but we can not trust anyone including Emperor Dylan.

Wifey said you wouldn't betray us so I told you about this confidential piece of information. I hope you keep everything about me and Lia a secret."

The last words he spoke were filled with a cold smile that was as if he was threatening her.

"How do you know this?" Helia's face darkened, hearing his words, and stood up from the couch.

"I can not tell you how I discovered it and if it will really happen or not but I hope you stand by our side and help me defend my beloved wife against all the enemies instead of supporting our enemies because I'm from the human race that killed Leon.

Being human or asura doesn't guarantee they are good or bad people. It's a person's character. I dislike that you hold grudges against the humans and think Asuras are not evil at all." Rio said in a nonchalant voice and berated her in the end.

"You don't have to give me that lecture. I don't know about you but I'll protect my sister even if she becomes the demon lord tomorrow." Helia said in a fierce tone, forgetting Lia was in the room.

The blonde-haired beauty tried her best to keep harmony between her and Rio but he came to refresh her old wounds by reminding Helia of her past.

He even doubted she would betray Lia. This caused her to lose control and snap at Rio in front of Lia since she was provoked by this annoying fellow.

"Okay then. That's what I want." Rio coldly smiled.

Seeing them fight like that, Lia felt it was a good show and put her hands on her jaw to enjoy their bickering.

"You two are acting like a child. Have you two had some love affair behind my back that you both bickering like this?" White-haired beauty asked jokingly.

"Love with this annoying fellow? I would call him whatever he wants if it ever happened." Helia snorted and sat on her couch.

'How dare he say I would betray Lia.'

She tried being nice to the crimson-haired boy in front of her sister but this brat came directly to provoke this lioness.

"Okay, calm down my two little children," Lia spoke in a gentle manner.

After she saw they had stopped, the white-haired beauty continued, "Rio...place your hand above the Elemental affinity Awakening Crystal."

He didn't think much and did as Lia asked and put his hand on the surface of the spherical ball.

"Now try injecting a little amount of your mana inside the Elemental affinity Awakening Crystal while closing your eyes and feeling the environmental energy particles around you.

You need to call the elemental particles present in heaven and earth as if they are your closest friends." Lia described to him the method of the Awakening ceremony and watched his closed eyes.

"Lia, he is only at the purple stage," Helia said with an exasperated tone as she couldn't understand her sister's action.

Lia placed the index finger on her cherry-like lips lip and said in a hushed voice, "Shhhh..."

Roo had already closed his eyes and went into a relaxed state. Advancing to the purple stage had increased his mana pool by four times but it also enhanced the power of his senses and physique.

As time flowed, his meditative state became deeper. He started hearing the sound of waves, and the swirling winds, the heartbeat of Lia's that was stable but there was nervousness present, breathing Helia's which showed she was still feeling contempt for him.

Rio could feel a pattern in the vibration of each sound and gradually they started turning into colorful small particles.

All of them were in groups and resonated with their own kind. They danced together while swirling around him. Some of them even waited around Rio as if giving him a second look before continuing their joyous movement.

Seeing them wander around himself he guessed he should make a move.

'Hey, little one? Come here.'

Rio sent a thought so they would listen to him. However, their mamma has taught them well to never trust a sweet strange uncle.

His plan to coax a young child with candy was extinguished. He sighed and waited patiently for them to notice him.

'I was telling Lia, it is no use. There is nothing happening. Elemental affinity won't awaken at the purple stage.'

Helia looked disappointed as her sister didn't believe her.

Cold sweats started pouring down Rio's forehead. He had already spent more than half of his mana, and focusing on these particles required so much mental energy.

After some more minutes passed, a serenity enveloped Rio's body.

His orange flower tattoo, which was on his right shoulder, started glimmering silver.

He could feel a strong wave of sonic was rushing in his direction.

Rio saw the tiny particles trembling in fear that was lingering around him as they started darting away from him as if they had seen a ghost.
