Ji Qingqing had never been carried in princess carry by a man, more importantly, he was carrying her while everyone was watching them. She was both scared and excited by this experience.

The hands that were holding her waist and her knees were large and strong. He held her tightly. Ji Qingqing could almost hear her heart rapidly beat against her chest.

She didn’t know how to describe her current feelings, but she felt a little dizzy like she was drunk, and the feeling tasted sweeter than the chocolate she had just eaten.

It was twelve o’clock and the weather was perfect; it was neither too hot nor too cold.

The bright sunlight cast a shadow under Lu Lixing’s long eyelashes. Ji Qingqing squinted her eyes as she stared at Lu Lixing’s impeccable side profile. She could feel his chest moving up and down as he breathed.

“You…put me down.”

Lu Lixing ignored her.

Ji Qingqing’s face flushed red in embarrassment. The throbbing pain in her lower abdomen started again. She was very nervous and tense when she was shooting in the studio just now, but now that she left, she was extremely tired.

She rested her head on Lu Lixing’s shoulder and relaxed her body as she leaned her body towards Lu Lixing’s arms. She didn’t have the energy to resist anymore, so she allowed him to carry her.

The car was parked outside the entrance of the studio. When the driver, Xiao Zhang, saw that Lu Lixing was carrying Ji Qingqing towards the car, he got out of the car and opened the door for them with a smile.

Ji Qingqing gently hit Lu Lixing’s chest and asked, “Can you let me down now?”

Lu Lixing looked down at her. He could see that her cheeks were slightly flushed red through her makeup. Her gaze was flickering left and right; she didn’t dare to meet his gaze.

Lu Lixing raised an eyebrow and put her down.

Qin Yue and several assistants rushed towards them. When Ji Qingqing saw that people were walking towards them, she hurriedly climbed into the car.

“President Lu, this is Miss Ji’s purse.”

Lu Lixing took the purse and asked casually, “Does she have any work scheduled tomorrow?”

Qin Yue thought for a moment before he replied, “She doesn’t have any work scheduled tomorrow, but there is an event that she needs to attend the day after tomorrow.”

“Don’t arrange any work for her for the next seven days. If somebody asked about it, just tell them I was the one who told you to do that.”

Qin Yue was taken aback by his orders, but he immediately responded, “Okay.”

When Lu Lixing got in the car Ji Qingqing looked at the people standing outside the car and asked, “What were you two talking about just now?”

“It’s nothing.” He glanced at Ji Qingqing, “Is your stomach still hurting?”

Ji Qingqing covered her stomach with her hand and nodded, “It still hurts a bit, but it’s not particularly painful, so I can endure it. I think the painkiller hasn’t taken full effect yet.”

The roads were a little bumpy. Lu Lixing watched as Ji Qingqing leaned back against the seat, her head swayed along with the vehicle as the car drove through the bumpy road. Her hands were still resting on her stomach, and her eyebrows were knitted into a frown.

He instructed the driver to drive slower and then he said to Ji Qingqing, “Come here.”

Ji Qingqing tilted her head and looked at him with puzzled eyes.

“I heard that warming the stomach can help reduce the pain and make it more comfortable.”

JI Qingqing closed her eyes and muttered, “But there is no hot-water bag…”

Lu Lixing took out the hot-water bag he asked the driver, Xiao Zhang, to buy earlier. He gently placed Ji Qingqing’s head on his shoulder while he put the hot-water bag on her lower abdomen with his other hand.

Ji Qingqing’s hands were still placed on her stomach, but she couldn’t help but opened her eyes when she felt the warmth from the hot-water bag on the back of her hands, “When did you prepare this?”

“Just now.”

In late autumn, the temperature gradually drops throughout the day. At night, the temperature would be ten degrees less than it was in the morning. Ji Qingqing’s hands and feet were cold in the morning and at night.

But her cold hands were now slowly warmed up by the hot-water bag. It was extremely comfortable.
