Chapter 828: New Governor

“Which of you would like to go to Stormy Country and act as the colony’s governor?” Gao Peng sat at the head of the table in the boardroom. Older monster trainers from each tribe were on both sides.

“I want to ask… if our tribe goes to Stormy Country and becomes the colony’s governor, and monster trainers from Mutated Tribe come and make trouble…” A monster trainer from the White Dragon Tribe looked at Gao Peng with anticipation. He didn’t finish the sentence, but his question was apparent.

“I’ll take care of it.” Gao Peng nodded. “Naturally, I won’t watch our Human Clan be bullied by the Mutated Tribe.”

The elder from the White Dragon Tribe sighed, smiling with glee.

“But the losses suffered during that period are not my concern,” Gao Peng said seriously. “Colonizing a country involves a lot of profit, but during the period of colonization, thirty percent of the profit has to be split equally between forces of the elder conference. The remaining seventy percent is the personal revenue of the colony’s governor, and all the expansion costs during the colonization period will be paid by the force of the colony’s governor.”

“Why won’t you be the governor?” an elder conference monster trainer asked Gao Peng curiously.

“I won’t.” Gao Peng shook his head. He turned his nose up at this position. He had raided the accumulated gains of the three kingdoms. If he did it again, he would just be repeating himself.

Upon hearing that Gao Peng wasn’t going to be the colony’s governor, everyone’s moods lightened up.

But the risks weren’t small, either. First of all, the Mutated people in the colonies wouldn’t be content; there would be many resisting organizations underground. Second, because of the race difference, any decrees ordered would face much resistance.

Plus, they heard the treasuries had been raided clean by a certain somebody…

Finally, the White Dragon Tribe took on the task and became the first colonial governor of Stormy Country.

“Roar!!” A lion’s call rang through the sky.

A smile climbed up Gao Peng’s face. Desolion had finally absorbed the Ocean Holy Lion.

Before he even approached, Gao Peng felt a strong aura.

A flash of light passed. Desolion appeared in front of him, face full of pride.

Three colors of fur—white, blue, and green—could be seen on its body. It had pure green claws, a white head, and a blue line that extended down its spine to its tail.

Gao Peng examined the evolved Desolion. “Why do I feel like you became ugly?”

After he said this, Desolion’s proud expression immediately collapsed to a very hurt one.

“Gao Peng, I broke through Eternal grade and I became a Medium God.” Desolion looked at Gao Peng bitterly.

“But what does that have to do with you being ugly?” Gao Peng asked Desolion seriously.

Desolion was appalled. “I’m going to get angry if you keep calling me ugly,” it thought.

“I’m thinking about something,” Gao Peng told it.

“What?”

“If you merge with the Seven Holy Lions, will you become a rainbow?”

Desolion was bewildered.

“Then wouldn’t you be an ultimate punk rainbow lion?” Gao Peng continued.

“Roar!!!”

Many people heard two lion roars that day, but the second one had a hint of grief.

[Monster Description]: A regal being of the Lion Clan, the legendary Three Saints Lion has the power of three holy lions. It has condensed the Three Saints’ Crown, which represents the fortune of the Lion Clan.

Gao Peng took some time to look at Stripey, who was still accumulating power in its sleep to break through the God tier.

A week later, Stripey successfully broke through to God-tier. It condensed Earth and Lava godhoods.

With the Earth and Lava godhoods, Stripey became bronze-red. Its bronze-red body was strong and sturdy.

It gave off a tough aura.

Lava streams ran over Stripey’s skin. Standing on the ground, one could only see Stripey’s belly, as its head and upper body were completely submerged in the thunderclouds. The searing lava dyed the thunder clouds gold.

Ring upon ring of bronze-red light spread out from Stripey’s body.

Everywhere they passed, they left a charred scorch mark.

Terrifying heat boiled the ground, visible white smoke rising from the ground into the sky.

“You look more handsome.” Gao Peng walked a quarter of the way around Stripey. He was too lazy to walk the rest of the distance.

“Really?” After hearing Gao Peng praise it, Stripey suddenly felt less sad about becoming bigger.

“Of course,” Gao Peng said with a smile.

“Something happened.”

Gao Peng received some news.

When Gao Peng rushed over after hearing the news, he saw a corpse.

He recognized the body as an elder from the White Dragon Tribe. He had been a Quasi God monster trainer. His other identity was the first colony’s governor.

“When did this happen?” Gao Peng frowned. He was familiar with this White Dragon Tribe governor. They’d met several times.

Most importantly, he was the one who had suggested colonization, and this happened just a month after the governor entered office. Wasn’t that also an attack on him?

“His Grace was attacked this morning by the leader of the Stormy Country rebellion. He came into the city alone and killed His Grace.”

“And what were the others doing?” Gao Peng asked.

“The other strong trainers in the tribe acted, too, but they weren’t a match for the rebellion leader. Three Saint-tier seniors died as well.”

“That’s not what I’m asking. I want to know about the other Mutated people in the city. Did they just watch the leader of the resistance charge in?” Gao Peng asked impatiently.

“Uh…” This White Dragon Monster Trainer couldn’t really keep up with Gao Peng. Those people were all from the Mutated Tribe. It was a good thing that they hadn’t fanned the flames, but why would they help?

“Nevermind. I can guess what happened from your expression,” Gao Peng said in a low voice. “Letting you serve as colonial governor is too hard of a task for you currently. I’ll go have some fun with the job.”

“Grandpa, please find me two professionals. I’m not experienced in management, so I’ll leave it to the pros. I’ll just go kill people.” Gao Peng’s voice was calm.
