Wondering if the goblin at the center of the room was just a wolf in sheep's clothing, Valyr went ahead and used [Analysis] on the goblin, thinking that behind the mundane appearance were stats that befitted a final boss.

Ding!

However, once the screen containing the goblin's status appeared in front of his field of vision, all thoughts of the goblin's appearance being a facade instantly disappeared without a trace, making Valyr wonder whether this dungeon was all an elaborate joke.

[Riekan] (Level 15 Boss)

HP: 300/300

MP: 280/280

Stats: 26 VIT, 27 STR, 23 AGI, 16 DEX, 23 INT, 15 WIS, 15 PER, 15 LUK

Remarks: It would probably just take you one hit to kill it.

Continuing to look at the goblin's status screen, Valyr could not help but inwardly admonish himself for being a fool, thinking that buying the Goblin Suppressing Incense was just a waste of Dungeon Key Fragments. Nevertheless, he did not let himself get consumed by the feeling of anger he felt towards his actions, taking in a few deep breaths as he approached the entire situation from another perspective.

"If the goblin at the center of the room is just a normal Level 15 goblin, then why did Damian and the others tell me that the final boss is an incredibly strong goblin?" Recalling back to the time when the three tried to skirt around the oath they swore while the four of them headed to the dungeon, he could not help but focus on the tone they spoke and the expression they had on their faces when they were talking about the final boss.

At that moment, Valyr felt a foreboding feeling. Whether the statements of the three regarding the final boss was true or not, he prepared himself for the worst case scenario, taking the Goblin Suppressing Incense out of the bag he carried before placing the bag at the entrance to the room.

Then, with unhurried yet cautious steps, he moved closer to the goblin, with the latter eventually sensing his presence.

With a light shriek, the goblin charged towards Valyr, wanting to remove the intruder that had entered his room. However, before the goblin could even land an attack…

Bang!

'-583!!!'

Its head burst into chunks of flesh and blood as Valyr pierced his spear through the goblin's head, landing a Brutal Hit. For a couple seconds, the intact portion of the goblin's body stood there, as if it was still processing what had just happened. But eventually, it fell to the ground with a light thud, bringing an end to an anticlimactic fight.

However, even though the fight had already ended, Valyr could not help but feel a hint of nervousness, shifting his gaze towards the still closed door on the other side before returning to the boss' headless corpse. In his mind, he thought that since the door on the other side was still closed, then that meant there was something else in this room that he had yet to face. The problem was…

He didn't know what he would have to face against.

Rumble…

Around a minute after the boss' corpse fell to the floor, the ground started to rumble. Feeling the foreboding feeling intensifying, Valyr looked at the corpse of the goblin he had just killed, quickly noticing that its skin was starting to glow.

Feeling an immense amount of energy emanating from the goblin's corpse, even though Valyr knew that what he was going to go up against was unlike any of the mini-bosses he had gone up against, he felt joy at the fact that his initial thoughts of the boss being a wolf in sheep's clothing were, in fact, correct.

Perhaps… a bit too correct.

Bang!

At some point, a large wave of energy burst out of the corpse, sending Valyr flying as he collided with the wall behind him with a hefty slam. Though he was wearing a set of armor, mitigating a great portion of the pain he should have felt, the collision still made Valyr let out a groan as he fell to the floor soon after with a thud.

As he stood up, his gaze gradually shifted towards the center of the room, realizing that the common goblin from earlier was nowhere to be found. Instead, what replaced the goblin was a being that was of the same height as him, donning robes that would commonly be worn by nobles. Wielding a silver longsword on its right, the being looked at Valyr before opening its mouth.

"Human, thank you for freeing me from that miserable vessel," said the being before letting out a chuckle. "You don't know how long I've been waiting for my true self to be in set free in the real world once more."

While the being was in the midst of talking, Valyr went ahead and identified the being with [Analysis]. Though, once he had obtained information on the being, his legs could not help but buckle slightly as he felt like he might faint at any moment. 'I take back what I told myself earlier.'

'I made the right choice.'

Ding!

[Riekan, Magic Goblin Swordsman (Mythic Elite)] (Level 15 Boss)

HP: 700,000/700,000

MP: 1000/1000

Stats: 73 VIT, 68 STR, 55 AGI, 55 DEX, 80 INT, 38 WIS, 38 PER, 38 LUK

Remarks: It was nice knowing you.

Aside from the fact that the being in front of him had 700,000 HP, which has hundreds of times greater than what a boss with the being's tier and level would have, the being was also two tiers higher than a usual boss, being a Mythic Elite.

For comparison, fighting against a Level 15 Epic Elite boss would feel like fighting against a normal monster at the peak of Rank 1. As for fighting a Mythic Elite boss at the same level, it would feel like fighting against a normal monster at Level 35!

In other words, it would be similar to fighting against a being solidly in the middle of Rank 2!

Taking in a few deep breaths to calm himself down, Valyr then moved closer to where the being was, noticing that the latter was waiting for him to come closer.

"As I was saying," Riekan said to him. "Since I'm feeling magnanimous today, I'll let you choose between two options. The first option, you could leave the dungeon unscathed as long as you tell no one of my return."

"The second option, I'll teach you how to become as strong as me as long as you remain in this dungeon."

"So, human. What will it be?" As Riekan asked this question, a light smile could be seen on his face as he waited for Valyr's response.

"I…" Seeing that the being was waiting for him to respond, Valyr opened his mouth, only for him to bring out the Goblin Suppressing Incense soon after.

"Choose neither."

Seeing the Goblin Suppressing Incense in Valyr's hands, Riekan's expression instantly turned into that of fury as he tried his best to snatch the incense out of the former's hands. Unfortunately for him…

It was already too late.

Whoosh!
