"Let's go with five monsters at a time, all of them Level 14." As these words came out of Valyr's mouth, the staff around the periphery of the pit could not help but look at each other for a bit, briefly wondering whether the person that had booked the pit had the ability to back up his words.

Nevertheless, they did as they were told, setting up everything that was needed to prepare the continuous replenishment of five Level 14 monsters in the pit. Just as they were doing so, one of the staff asked yet another question to Valyr. "What type of monsters would you like to fight against?"

"Even that is customizable?" As far as Valyr knew from his experience with the Experience Pit in the past, the only thing that could be customized was the number of monsters that came at once, as well as the level of monsters one was up against. Never once had he ever come across an Experience Pit that allowed for customized monster types as well.

'Is it because the demand for Experience Pits isn't that high yet?' With this thought in mind, Valyr felt that it was most likely the case. After all, Experience Pits were highly sought after by players in his past life, being one of the easiest and safest ways to gain XP without having to delve a dungeon.

After he had gotten over the initial shock of finding out he could also customize the monsters he fought against, he pondered over the question before asking, "What's the easiest monster I could kill with a weapon?"

As if to respond to the question, faint murmurs could be around the pit for a while before going silent, prompting Valyr to tilt his head in slight confusion as he wondered what those at the surface were talking about. However, just a few seconds later, a few of the gates on the walls of the pit, which he had noticed by the time he was inside the pit, soon opened, revealing five monsters that instantly made Valyr ferociously grin.

"That's definitely the simplest monster I could kill with a weapon." Letting out a light cackle as the monsters came closer to him, Valyr went ahead and identified one of the monsters with [Analysis], reading through its information for a brief moment before going ahead and brandishing his True Tideblood Spear.

Ding!

[Pit Golem] (Level 14)

HP: 280/280

MP: 170/170

Stats: 23 VIT, 23 STR, 22 AGI, 22 DEX, 14 INT, 14 WIS, 14 PER, 14 LUK

Remarks: You look like you're just taking out your anger if you fight against this.

With [Analysis] at its max level, Valyr was now able to view other information regarding the monsters he fought against, such as the amount of MP they have, as well as their stats. In fact, once he noticed the monster's stats, he could not help but recall his stats from before his ascension, thinking that they were similar in a way. 'The golems here focused on all the physical stats, while I focused on DEX and INT.'

'Either way, let's see if it's easy to kill them.' Gripping onto his spear, he swiftly dashed towards the five golems as the five were just about to charge towards him. Noticing that they had lost track of their initial target, the golems looked around, only for the sound of rock crumbling to resound throughout the pit soon after as Valyr stood atop the remnants of one of the golems.

Ding!

[With a 3 level disparity between the user and the opponent, the amount of experience obtained shall be increased by 60%.]

[You have slain a Level 14 Tide Monster. You have gained 693 XP.]

'I think I could handle five golems at Level 15.' With this thought in mind, he swiftly disposed of the remaining four golems, who made their way to him in a frenzy due to how one of their comrades had been killed in one fell swoop. Standing on top of the rubble making up the five golems he had just slain, he looked at the opened gates for a bit before shouting towards the staff at the top.

"Increase their level to 15!"

Hearing that, the staff swiftly adjusted the level of the golems to Level 15 as they had just obtained the answer to their previous question of whether Valyr had the ability to back up his words.

In short, he did.

And he had the ability to go further.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Relying on the combination of [Strong Pierce] and Vital Hits, Valyr was able to dispose all Level 15 golems at more or less the same time it took to clear the previous wave. Seeing that he wasn't anywhere reaching his limit yet, he asked the staff to increase the difficulty by yet another level.

And with that, for a while, a cycle had been formed wherein Valyr would find out that he had not reached his limit yet, prompting him to tell the staff above the pit to increase the difficulty by another level. In response, the staff would do as they were told, with Valyr fighting against the next wave without much difficulty.

Thankfully for the staff, this cycle eventually ended by the time the five golems Valyr fought against were Level 20, finding it somewhat difficult to kill them on his own, but not difficult enough for him to find himself overly exhausted by the end of it. Telling them that he had found the sweet spot, he then went on a rampage, killing all five Level 20 golems that appeared out of the gates surrounding him within a matter of minutes.

On the other hand, as they watched Valyr kill wave after wave of Level 20 golems with relative ease, the staff watching above the pit could not help but be left at a loss for words, with the question in their mind now being where Valyr had come from. Amongst all of the people they had seen fight in the pit before, most of them found their limits at a four-level disparity. Some of them reached their limit at a six-level disparity, and a couple found theirs at a seven-level disparity.

However, here was Valyr, an anomaly that only found his limit at a nine-level disparity, having no problem fighting against five monsters that were past the middle of Rank 1 while still being at the beginning of Rank 1. Though they were curious to find out how he was able to do so, they weren't allowed to ask those who booked the pits this information.

Oblivious to the fact that the staff manning his pit were now making up stories about a man who could surmount a nine-level disparity and still end up victorious, Valyr continued to fight against the Level 20 golems as they came, taking breaks every once in a while to replenish the stamina he had exhausted before returning to the pit to do it all over again.

Unfortunately for him, even though he had eventually gotten into a rhythm that allowed him to kill the wave of golems he fought against faster, this all came to an end as no more monsters came out of the gates after some time. Wondering why no more monsters were appearing, Valyr looked up at the periphery of the pit, noticing that one of the staff was looking back at him.

As the staff's words reverberated throughout the pit, it was only then did Valyr understand why, wryly smiling as he muttered to himself, "I guess I got a bit too engrossed there."

"Sir Valyr, we'll unfortunately have to stop here. It is now an hour before sunset."

"The Experience Pit is now closing."
