Bavuma lunged towards Max and both Rudra and Odin were baffled at his audacity?

Rudra immediately sprung into action, thinking that Bavuma was severely underestimating him and his powers, while Odin prepared to block Bavuma's attack at all costs.

Initially, Bavuma planned to leave the time chamber after retrieving the time seed and causing some minor misunderstandings between Rudra and Odin, however, with Max learning his signature move he had to change his plan on the fly.

Someone having the same ultimate ability as himself could not be allowed to live and looking at how attached Rudra was to his brother, Bavuma knew that the psychological impact of killing him was going to be completely worth it.

Optimistically, Bavuma believed that he could leverage Max's life and make Rudra surrender one of his seeds and then proceed to kill Max anyways, however, he had made a mistake in underestimating Max just because he was tier7.

Everything happened in a flash-

Bavuma activated the power of the time seed to slow down the flow of time for everyone around him but not for himself as he effectively put Rudra out of the equation who could not possibly cover the distance before Bavuma reached Max.

Odin provided Max with a body cover, but Bavuma transformed into his void form and slipped right through him as the ancient god was left scrambling for solutions.

Moreover, as Max read the text floating over Bavuma's head saying ' I'll decapitate his head in one blow ', he knew he had little to no options to survive this strike.

He could not activate Void Neutralisation in time to block the attack, if it would even work considering the fact that Max had no idea if it was going to be a magical attack or a physical one.

He could not use disperse as he could not risk his life on the remote possibility of success in finding and blocking the micro imperfections in his opponents attacks.

He wasn't strong enough to block Bavuma's attacks head-on and his brother was not going to make it in time to save him.

This left Max with only one, extremely dangerous option to save his life, however, Seraphiel had made it abundantly clear that he should not risk the move should his opponent be at 100% HP.

Nonetheless, not having the luxury to ponder upon alternate choices, Max decided to activate the move first and worry about the consequences later.

[ Soul Devour ]

Bavuma looked baffled as he got sucked into Max's soul realm against his will as he momentarily failed in his goal to bring Max down.

Rudra and Odin on the other hand panicked even more than Bavuma did as they saw the warrior being sucked into Max's body which turned unconscious and dropped cold on the floor.

As Bavuma was dragged into the soul-realm, the effects of the time seed receded from the real world as Rudra immediately reached his brother's side.

" Queen, set up a Safe-Zone around my brother, even if his soul- dissipated, I want him to experience a perfect regeneration.

Odin, you explain to me WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON? " Rudra shouted as he thought with a clear mind.

The queen immediately obeyed the command of her master and began setting up a Safe-Zone around Max's body, however, Odin knew that it was of no use.

Being a soulmancer himself, Odin knew precisely the consequences of the move that Max had just activated but what baffled him was how he was able to inherit this move when it was forbidden to be taught?

For a few moments, he remained silent as he re-evaluated his opinion of Max Rajput as for the first time in his life he wondered if he had been supporting the wrong brother from the start?

" He has dragged Bavuma into the soul-realm my lord and the odds don't look in his favour.

At full strength Bavuma and his soul is much stronger to Max's and if things don't work out his way, Max will risk being consumed in full as EXP by Bavuma.

I don't understand how he has such an ability to forcibly drag god's into the soul realm, however, I don't think he completely understands the forces he's dealing with here…. " Odin said in a muffled voice as he began wondering if Max had several secret backers working in the shadows that he didn't know about.

Although it looked like a confirmed end of the road for the younger Rajput with this fight against Bavuma, if by some miracle he survived this fight, Odin swore to take a closer look at his development and nurture him as a worthy talent.

" I'm not a mind reader like Bavuma, Odin, but I'm a vengeful brother….. if my younger brother dies in there, then know this…. Neither you, nor Bavuma nor anyone who supports you will see the dawn tomorrow... that much I promise " Rudra said menacingly as Odin felt shivers run down his spine.

Immediately kneeling over, he began chanting ancient hymns and pouring divine essence into Max's body as while it was not going to help too much, it would help replenish Max's divine essence source faster and strengthen his soul vessel to exert a stronger influence in his soul space.

All these measures would only increase Max's overall strength by 10-20% which was by no means enough to take on a monster like Bavuma, but it did give Max the best odds for survival which was now directly linked to Odin's own chances to survive.

This was by no means how Odin perceived today's fight to unfold, however, he did not regret it one bit.

If Bavuma had not pushed Max this much, Odin would not have been able to witness his brilliance.

Although his ultimate decision to drag Bavuma into the soul realm was stupid, if he did miraculously win this fight, he would gain strength beyond comprehension and truly become a diamond in the rough that Odin could nurture into becoming a celestial.
