' He's a tier7 now? '
' Isn't the tier7 promotion test rumoured to be impossible to complete? '
' Is he a mass murderer that we don't know of? How can he gain the EXP needed to reach the level cap so fast? '
' Impossible! I've been stuck at tier6 realm for the past 250 years, yet I'm not halfway to the level cap yet! How did a brat who is not even fifty yet achieve it? '
' Hahaha, he's a Rajput alright, I'm wondering if it's a family thing '
' It's expected of Lord Max, afterall he's always been a rising star '
' The gap left by Lord Julian's death has finally been filled! The vampire society has another strongman '
' Him becoming tier7 makes him the third strongest now behind the King and Vega, now that's a mammoth influence '.
' We need to cosy up-to him at all costs, if he reached tier7 with such unprecedented speed he might be able to reach monarch level strength in the next century '
Murmurs began to break throughout the vampire council as all eyes were on Max and his newfound strength.
Regus was clearly disheartened by the news and it showed on his usually stoic face as after Max's declaration he was silent for a good five minutes while discussions raged on within the room.
When he finally regained his wits, he decided to grit his teeth and move-on from the topic for now as this meeting was supposed to be about him restoring faith within vampire society about his ability as a king and not about Max and his tier promotion.
" Silence all-," Regus shouted as he demanded that the hall fall back in order.
Almost immediately, the chatter died down as all eyes turned back towards Regus and what he had to say about the counteroffensive.
" For too long Dracula and his vile Werewolf underlings have ran amok within vampire lands.
Not only did they destroy our planets and kill our populace, but they also humiliated us by offering refuge and protection to vampire citizens within their conquered lands if they acknowledged Dracula as the one true king…. " Regus said with a seething anger in his voice as everyone within the room could feel their blood boiling at the atrocities committed by Dracula.
" The only reason why Dracula was able to run amok is because I was inadequate as a king.
Although I'm a monarch much like him, I'm not powerful enough to bring him down or rather I was not powerful enough to bring him down uptil now and for that I deeply apologise.
As a king, there is no excuse for failing to protect one's populace, however, It's not that I don't understand the pain of losing someone you love.
I've lost my youngest son to Dracula, my home, Ixtal is destroyed and my wife is traumatised.
Believe me when I say, I understand the pain that you Lord's go through and that there hasn't been a single day where I've not plotted to bring Dracula down " Regus said with pain evident in his voice as Max felt baffled at how good Regus's oration skills were.
Max had never seen Regus deliver a speech with half as much passion, however, today he was like the reincarnation of prime Shakuni, delivering a speech like a mass mobilizer who had the magic of the Saint Maximus bloodline.
Although Max had a desire to capture the throne, even he couldn't help but be engrossed in what Regus had to say today.
" As you all must know, me and Vega have hardly ever seen eye to eye on any issue.
We have never been close allies, nor trusted confidants yet in these trying times I entrusted him with the mission to find a lost weapon that had the potential to cause genuine harm to Primordial Vampires.
The primordial vampires are a barbaric race, the reason they had to be eliminated was because of how the lot behaved like a bunch of savages and how their bloodlust had no restraint.
As you all know, they have been blessed with one of the strongest bloodline abilities in the universe in the form of blood manipulation and are excellent warriors with only ONE big flaw.
The ONE flaw which makes the primordial vampires weaker than us is their intolerance of sunlight.
Those bastards squirm and burn and lose a significant portion of their strength under the sun and as terrifying as Dracula is, he is no different from the others in this regard.
Even he weakens significantly under sunlight, which is why when Vega came back with the ' Surya-Astra ' left behind by the great sun-god Helios, a genuine tier9 weapon, I knew we could finally push-back against Dracula! " Regus said as he unveiled the shiny Surya-Astra to the council.
The Surya-Astra was like a bracelet on Regus's arm which shone with a bright sunlight like light that was blinding to the naked eye.
Max was sure that the Surya-Astra must have many capable abilities beyond being a light-piece, however, he couldn't deny that Regus shining the weapon did look extremely cool.
His speech today seemed to be working extremely well as he had roused the vampire morale significantly by revealing his strategy to counter Dracula.
It was a well known fact that the vampire forces were not weaker than Dracula's forces at all.
Infact, the vampire society was much stronger than Dracula's forces in a drawn out battle, however, Dracula with his power to level entire planets and stars was the most formidable enemy.
If Regus could restrict Dracula in battle, the vampire counteroffensive was not a far-fetched dream, in fact they could wipe out the rest of Dracula's forces within the next three years even if they performed averagely.
However, the question remained as to if Regus could restrict Dracula or not. Yes, the new weapon was impressive and it gave hope to the vampire society, however, it was yet to prove its worth in actual battle.
