Chapter 107: Crazy Tiger

Another Crimson Tiger King spawned!

It was a coincidence, a complete coincidence…

However, Li Yi’s unique Trash Hand characteristic had not changed at all. He had really looted a tiger’s head this time and did not obtain any other item.

Unlike pets, mounts could be traded as one wished before they were used.

Li Yi went to the Auction House and auctioned the Crimson Tiger King Mount publicly for a price of one Gold Coin.

The base price did not have to be high. Would only a few people want such an eye-catching mount like the one that belonged to the Crimson Tiger King?

Within a ten short minutes, the Crimson Tiger King soared to a price of 19,000. The price would jump once almost every three seconds.

Li Yi took a screenshot of the Crimson Tiger King and stated that it was for sale before uploading it on one of the forums on the official page anonymously.

A macho phenomenon that was being auctioned for one Gold Coin appeared unexpectedly in the Auction House. It was the Crimson Tiger King Mount!

Rise, the price definitely needed to rise!

If an Anler’s Scroll that could not even be used sold for 41,000, how could the same thing be impossible for the Crimson Tiger King?

When numerous players had heard of this news, they rushed into the Auction House in quick succession before the bidding became even more frenzied.

[300,000!]

[400,000!]

[600,000!]

The bids soared as they were called out which made it obvious that the bidders desperately wanted their opponents to give up.

[900,000!]

[990,000!]

When the bidding price had reached 990,000, the price did not move anymore.

During the later stage of King of Pantheon, the Crimson Tiger King Mount could be sold for a price of almost 300,000. Of course, during the later stage when most of the players had obtained flying mounts, other than taking it out for display occasionally, the functionality of the Crimson Tiger King that could only run on the ground would decrease greatly. It only had a guaranteed value because the mount would give all of its owner’s attributes an additional +3 value.

“F*ck, it actually got stuck at 99%. Have all the rich people died somewhere?” cursed Li Yi. He was obviously not too happy with this price.

“Guild Master Fox, there’s only one Crimson Tiger King Mount in the Auction House. Did you see it?” Li Yi sent a message to Confused Fox.

“I saw it. There was already a bid for it at 990,000. However, it wouldn’t really be profitable if it was sold at this price.”

“Could you do me a favor?”

Confused Fox was surprised for a moment before he immediately spoke in a happily surprised tone and said, “What favor does Brother Dark Wing need from me? Say it!”

Confused Fox had always admired Li Yi very much but had failed to entice him despite using every possible way. Nonetheless, when he had come forward to form an alliance with Little Drunk Cat Guild when they only had little more than ten members, that was enough to prove his sincerity.

“Bid for the Crimson Tiger King?”

“Huh? You want it, brother? Don’t you already have one… Understood, I’ll bid for it now!” Confused Fox could guess what had happened immediately because of his intelligent mind. He did not ask many questions but placed his bid straight away.

[1,100,000!]

[1,200,000!]

The price had just changed before another person had added on to it immediately.

“Keep going and only stop when I tell you to.”

“Alright, brother. Don’t worry, I have more than 5,000,000 with me now. If that’s insufficient, I’ll get someone to send me more right away.”

[1,500,000!]

Confused Fox was also a ruthless person. He increased his bid by 300,000 immediately which caused the other party to be cautious about making a counteroffer for a long time.

“Huh? Did I bid too much?”

“That’s not a problem because the other party will definitely bid again, so don’t worry.”

[2,000,000!]

The asking price soared as the other party became even more relentless than Confused Fox and raised the price by 500,000 at once!

[2,600,000!]

[3,000,000!]

[4,000,000!]

[5,000,000!]

“Stop! Guild Master Fox, you don’t have to increase it any more.”

When the price had leaped to 5,000,000, Li Yi promptly yelled at him to stop.

“Sh*t, since he was brave enough to ask me to offer a price, I would’ve immediately gotten someone to send 10,000,000 again with one phone call.” Confused Fox covertly wiped off his cold sweat. In reality, when the bid had reached 4,000,000, it had exceeded his limits. He admired Li Yi very much indeed. However, he had not reached the extent where he would risk losing his family’s fortune just for Li Yi’s sake.”

“I owe you a favor for this time. Thanks.”

“Hahaha, you’re welcome, brother. If you need your big brother to help with anything, just say the word and it’ll be done,” said Confused Fox happily.

He merely needed to place a few bids but did not have to spend anything before he received a favor for nothing. Good things like these were always better when there were more of them.

Li Yi accepted the final bid. He sold the Crimson Tiger King Mount for a price of 5,000,000!

If Li Yi did not choose to accept it now, the other party would have been seen to have placed a bid for nothing. Moreover, not only would his reputation suffer losses, a warning that stated ‘this is an item that is being sold by a vile shameless person’ would appear in front of his items the next time he was trying to sell things.

5,000,000 was a pretty good price. Although there was still more room for bidding, it would be disastrous if did not treat that tycoon buyer properly or provoked him instead. That would cause people to not desire the mount anymore.

After deducting the transaction tax, Li Yi received 4,800,000 Gold Coins. He had obtained a huge sum of money!

The entire Pantheon World went insane following that.

By successfully selling the Crimson Tiger King for 5,000,000, not only did this incident become the lead story on the official page, but it also appeared on the international news. Numerous new players surged into King of Pantheon within a short span of ten days because of this. Simultaneously, the number of people who were online surpassed the critical point of 7,000,000. Li Yi had never expected that his explosive actions this time would actually bring forward the popularity of King of Pantheon.

During the initial stage, there were only a few hundred thousand players who played King of Pantheon. However, the number had increased to more than six hundred thousand within a short span of ten days. Its rapid growth continued endlessly after that. When the Crimson Tiger King was sold for 5,000,000, the number of people underwent a boom again and successfully surpassed 7,000,000 people.

However, this was still a small number of people and was far from enough.

Only Li Yi was clearly aware of the greatness of King of Pantheon’s impact after it had been in operation for eight years.

There were three new skills that could be learned once players had reached Level 35 and neither Skill Tomes nor Skill Points were required. One would only need to complete a few Class Quests and spend some Gold Coins to learn these skills from the Skill Mentors.

These three new skills were Support-type Light Ring Skills. They consisted of War Bear’s Protection that could increase the STR of the entire party by 5%, Cheetah’s Protection that could increase the entire party’s SPD by 30% (but did not have any bonus multipliers for the mount’s speed), and Spirit Ape’s Protection that could increase one’s own EVA rate by 5%.

These three skills all had unlimited usage but only one type could be used each time. However, they could be swapped at any time as there was no Cooldown time.

Li Yi ran around completing quests for an entire day before learning all three types of Light Ring Skills. He spent a total of 500 Gold Coins. Normal players would think that 500 Gold Coins was a huge amount but it was just a mere trifle to Li Yi.

Li Yi was not planning to return to Wild Beast Plain because he knew that from this day on, that place would never see peaceful days again.

He could still scramble for EXP if there were only a few people, but could he snatch it from them if he was faced with thousands? Moreover, the Crimson Tiger King’s drop rates were almost like striking the lottery. Hence, there was absolutely no need for him to scramble for it.

He would postpone leveling up first. Li Yi used another full day to finish the quests needed to initiate Frost Valley Dungeon.

Frost Valley was considered a special dungeon because it located in a remote area and additionally required a large number of complicated quests to be completed to initiate it. Thus, this dungeon had always been neglected. There were very few people who knew about it during the initial stage while there were not many people who liked coming during the later stage. Of course, mount enthusiasts were excluded.

The origins and background of Frost Valley were extremely straightforward. The insane Ice Wizard Ordas had gone there and turned the place into a frozen world.

After initiating the Frost Valley Instance Dungeon, Li Yi did not go there directly but ran to a place with water instead to seek a tortoise.

Once a player had reached Level 35, the types of pets that they could Tameincreased significantly. Conversely, other than its Solid Ice skill that still had some uses, the Mutated Small Wild Boar’s DEF could not satisfy its present tanking requirements anymore.

There were many types of tortoises and you could see their silhouettes as long as you were in a place with water. Li Yi even knew the spawn point of one rare elite tortoise. However, the journey to that place was too far as merely the distance alone would require him to walk for a few days. Furthermore, he became less interested when he discovered that its DEF was only 100 points more than that of a normal tortoise.

He would make do with it first. Once he had reached Level 40, he could catch a more useful pet to guard him.

Normal monsters were much easier to catch than rare elite monsters. Li Yi had successfully caught an Ironback Tortoise in just three minutes.

[Ironback Tortoise]

[Level: 1]

[Nature: Gentle]

[Attributes: None]

[HP: 600]

[MP: 50]

[ATK: 50]

[DEF: 350]

[M-DEF: 150]

[Skills: Stomp (Attacks five targets in its surroundings simultaneously to produce a large amount of Aggro, Taunt (Forcibly causes its targets to attack), Endure (After activating it, DEF will increase by 300 points temporarily. Lasts for 12 seconds. Cooldown: one minute).]

Among the pets that were below Level 40 that could be brought along by Archers, tortoises were the ones that could resist the most strikes. However, they had a disadvantage whereby their SPD was too slow. If it could not pull the Aggro steadily at once, its master would be in danger.

After spending five hours to train his tortoise to Level 35, Li Yi passed through Wild Beast Plains and came to the map that was covered in ice and snow before entering Frost Valley.

There were no humanoid monsters in the Frost Valley Dungeon. Instead, there were only animals and more animals. Other than the color of their exterior that was light blue, the other aspects of the animals here were exactly the same as those in Wild Beast Plain.

This place was a part of Wild Beast Plain before Ordas came here.

The little monsters and the bosses were both animals but there was a slight difference between them and those in Wild Beast Plain. Since Frost Valley did not have a Normal Mode, the weakest monsters there were also of the Elite Level.

When the dungeon and the Outskirts maps were compared to one another, the greatest advantage was that one could fight however they wished because they would not be disturbed by anyone.

The Ironback Tortoise crawled over slowly before three Frozen animals came over and surrounded it immediately.

[-71]

The Ironback Tortoise’s DEF had currently reached 700 while its HP had reached 2100. Thus, it could resist the monsters here significantly easily. Li Yi did not even have to move and merely had to deal damage continuously and that was it.

The monsters inside Frost Valley were all dummy monsters. As long as their equipment met the requirements, anyone could train their level here easily.

Li Yi grinded monsters along the way and advanced. When he had encountered the boss while grinding, his EXP had increased by as much as 5%.

Frost Valley’s map was not large and there were two bosses in total, Ice Toad King and Ice-Scale Snake.

These two bosses were coiled up together. If the distance between them was more than ten meters, they would reunite automatically. Neither Mislead nor Pseudocide could separate them. Hence, one could only battle them simultaneously.

Although these two bosses were both ice monsters, their attack methods were mainly physical. Thus, he could only rely on the Ironback Tortoise to combat them because the Mutated Small Wild Boar was not immune to their attacks.

The Ice Toad King that was bigger than a cow was crouched on the ground quietly while the Ice-Scale Snake that was as thick as an arm was coiled around its body. It flicked its tongue out occasionally.

Both the Ice Toad King and Ice-Scale Snake had 2,000,000 HP!

The Ironback Tortoise crawled over slowly and used Stomp to rouse both bosses.

[-101]

[-15]

Both bosses attacked immediately. The Ice Toad King’s ATK was slightly higher and could hit a value of around 100 while the Ice-Scale Snake was very weak and only had about 10 points. However, its attacks had additional poisons with effects that were almost similar to Vile Tongue Stake. Thus, the overall HP that it reduced from its attacks was higher than that of the Ice Toad King.

Li Yi charged forward and raised the Vile Tongue Stake up high. He struck the Ice Toad King violently a few times. After he had triggered the poison successfully, he retreated immediately and changed to his bow before shooting rapidly.

He focused only on the Ice Toad King and did not even touch the Ice-Scale Snake.

The Ironback Tortoise could use its Heal Pet skill when its HP was low. When it saw that the two bosses had amplified their skills, it used Endure immediately and Li Yi occasionally stepped forward to use the Vile Tongue Stake to stab them a few times. The Ice Toad King’s HP decreased rapidly. After it had used its skill for a while, it only had over 300,000 HP left.

[-1211]

Li Yi used War Bear’s Protection and his ATK was upgraded again. It stacked with his Intermediate-level Fury Potion and made his damage terrifying.

Soon, the Ice Toad King croaked and collapsed on the ground before it stopped breathing and died. Li Yi stepped forward immediately and reached out his hand out to loot it. Once he did, he retreated immediately and used Mislead against the Ironback Tortoise before falling on the ground and used Pseudocide.

Li Yi did not receive the system notification regarding breaking away from the battle this time.

[Camouflage!]

When he used the Camouflage skill, Li Yi received a system notification immediately.

System Notification: [You have successfully broken away from battle.]

“Croak…”

Another Ice Toad King respawned and appeared strangely. It leaped more than ten meters high and launched an attack against the Ironback Tortoise…

[The monsters attack was successfully blocked!]
