Yuan Jue’s big ears kept shaking. Even his tail wagged back and forth a few times causing a cool breeze.

Noticing the coolness behind him, Mr. Gray Wolf quickly realized that his tail and ears were shamefully betraying him. He immediately closed his big mouth.

He clearly remembered that she said she would make him into wolf jerky.

Although she had helped him out by treating his stump, as a wolf who was very guarded against others, he couldn’t believe her so quickly.

He just thought that this little woman, who had been brought over here, was silly and a bit pitiful.

Yeah, she was so pitiful right now. She looked like a weak wind could knock her over. If he kicked her out, she would die.

He had used her herbs too. He could (reluctantly) let her stay here for a few days.

After all, this silly human actually regarded him as her husband.

However, she had no idea how serious his injuries were. He was a demon who had damaged his demon core. He was crippled and blinded. Even if he was able to preserve and keep living, he wouldn’t be able to have a normal life.

Right now, she was weak like a child. That’s why she would instinctively consider him, who seemed to be very powerful, as her husband. That was just the instinct of the human race.

As for him, he was a gray wolf that seemed to have been cursed at birth.

All the demons and humans that had once been close to him and treated him nicely, as time went on, they would become extremely unlucky. Some of them even lost their lives.

Even flowers and other vegetation weren’t an exception to this.

After many years of experimentation, he had determined that a distance of one meter away would be safe.

Sometimes, Yuan Jue suspected that he was subconsciously devouring the life force of the people around him, and that’s why those people had died.

This was one of the reasons why the demons in the Fire Wolf Tribe were so terrified of him.

He had wanted to kill Ruan Qiuqiu earlier, but his serious injuries had muddled his brain, so he had forgotten this matter.

There was an indescribable bitterness in Yuan Jue’s heart. He looked at the stone bed with his demon consciousness that was almost exhausted. He “saw” Ruan Qiuqiu slowly sitting up. The animal skin that was covered with his scent was still wrapped around her.

She smiled at his ugly demon form and gently said, “Husband, thank you.”

Mr. Big Bad Wolf felt dizzy. After getting a glimpse of her smile, his vision faded back into darkness.

He slowly lay down in a corner of the cave. His lowered big head was facing Ruan Qiuqiu without him noticing. He hadn’t closed his eyes, and it seemed as if he was staring at her.

He had just brought her back into the cave. It was just a trivial matter, but she thanked him for it. Could she stop calling him husband? He had only decided to let her stay here for a few days.

Once the blizzard ended, he would find a tribe that was friendly to humans and send her away.

Mr. Big Bad Wolf’s large tail lightly swept back and forth irritably. He self-deprecatingly thought; what was this? When a wolf is about to die, does his heart become good?

She had better stop calling him husband. If she knew what was good for her, she would stop treating him nicely too.

Otherwise, he would change his mind and keep her with him. Regardless of his cursed existence, he would drag her down and have her fall into h*ll with him.

All sorts of human expressions flickered over his furry and sorry-looking wolf face.

Through the faint light of the fire, Ruan Qiuqiu saw all sorts of emotions.

There was sadness and distress, at a loss, pain, sympathy, and even a bit of viciousness and struggle.

His big ears were also participating in showing his emotions. Sometimes, they would lightly tremble. Other times, they would fold down and flatten. In the end, it seemed that he had made a decision. His two ears lied softly on his head, looking very listless.
