Fortunately, Ruan Qiuqiu made it outside in time. As soon as she stumbled out of the cave, she saw that her fallen animal skin bag was half-opened and a small, ugly bird was pecking at a piece of jerky that had fallen out of the bag.

Ignoring the pain, Ruan Qiuqiu ran towards the ugly bird.

“Ga -” Seeing that someone had come, the cowardly bird opened its wings and flew away. However, the bird didn’t forget to grab the piece of jerky as it fled.

Ruan Qiuqiu was very weak. She didn’t have wings either, so she could only watch as that ugly bird flew away.

Not caring about catching that bird, she opened up the animal skin bag and stuffed the jerky that had scattered over the ground into the bag. Some of the jerky had been pecked at.

However, there was noticeably less jerky in the animal skin bag than before. The bag holding the tuber powder had also been pecked open. Two leaves had also been pecked off one of the herbs.

As Ruan Qiuqiu looked at the herb with two fallen leaves, her eyes suddenly got hot. Her vision got blurry from the unspilled tears. Ruan Qiuqiu bit her lip. Lifting the sleeve that had gotten ripped when she had fallen down earlier, she roughly rubbed her eyes hard.

Annoyed, she thought; once she was feeling better, she would catch that bird next time, pluck its feathers, roast it, and eat it.

She carefully packed up her stuff and dragged the two large animal skin bags into the cave.

After struggling to bring everything inside, Ruan Qiuqiu went to the unconscious Mr. Big Bad Wolf’s bed, took out two pieces of animal skin, and gently covered up his ghastly-looking stump.

She sat on the side of the bed and listened to Mr. Big Bad Wolf’s increasingly weak breathing before going outside to wash her hands with the melted fresh snow. Then, she came back, crushed the herb that was missing leaves and meant for external use and applied it to the most urgent spots: his shoulder injury and his stump.

She tried to use her ability to quickly create droplets of watering with healing effects.

During the past two days, there were many times when she couldn’t bear the continued march. She had survived by secretly using her ability to make healing water and drinking those droplets in the middle of the night.

Perhaps, because this fantasy world had more spiritual energy and the water elements in the air were more active, the healing effect in her condensed water was much stronger than before even though her water ability had weakened overall.

She estimated that if she didn’t consider the limits of her body, she would be able to condense five drops of healing water intermittently each day.

Her current physical condition was very bad. She shouldn’t be exerting herself further by using her ability.

But…

With the faint light coming from outside, Ruan Qiuqiu could see Mr. Gray Wolf’s deathly pale cheeks. He looked so weak. Her heart softened.

She wanted to do her utmost to save him.
