“Two dear your excellency Arch Magi, it seems like you haven’t paid attention to our Frestech Chamber of Commerce.” Xu Yi who had taken care of the attacks of the two Arch Magi shook his head with a smile, “If you had paid attention, you would have known that at the beginning of the year, the «Frestech Magic Machine Weekly» had an article that talked about some issues with the magic space.”

Arch Magus Ofalian and Arch Magus Laduca looked at each other, both knitting their brows.

The two of them were very traditional magicians and followed the traditional path of studying magic to increase their power, so they looked down on external things like magic tools.

Even if the Frestech Chamber of Commerce was famous, they thought that it was just a twisted path of using objects and wasn’t something that a true magician should study.

So they had indeed not paid any attention to the Frestech Chamber of Commerce before.

Even after Arch Magus Sarandal Clay went to research magic machines at the Frestech Chamber of Commerce, in the eyes of these two traditional magicians, he was like Arch Magus Camilla who was willing to fall into degeneracy.

So although they thought that Xu Yi’s magic talent was outstanding and already knew that he was a high level Great Magician, they had never truly cared.

To them, someone who invested everything into irrelevant side path like magic tools and cared more about his status as a merchant wouldn’t be that strong.

But now Xu Yi had refuted this with facts.

This fellow who hadn’t been an Arch Magus for long had actually blocked the attacks from two Arch Magi at once.

He had even offset the influence of their domains this easily!

Just based on this, Xu Yi was already worthy of talking to them at the same level.

So when Xu yi said that he had published an article on magic space before, it meant that he had a unique understanding of magic space. Otherwise, there would be no explanation as to how he had easily taken care of their domains.

“In that article, I pointed out that magic space at all times tended to maintain stability. This means that if there was an anomaly in magic space, that magic space would very quickly return to normal from the influence of the surrounding magic space. I call this power the magic space stability force.”

Arch Magus Ofalian gave a nod, “This is no doubt about that, but we Arch Magi can use our domains to break this principle and rely on our powers to control magic space. Chairman Xu, since you are already an Arch Magus, you should understand this very well.”

“Yes.” Xu Yi nodded with a faint smile, “So in this article, I also pointed out that any actions that forcefully manipulate the behaviour of magic space would face the interference of this magic space stability force, so it requires a large price to be paid to counter it out.”

“Is there something wrong with this?” Arch Magus Laduca who had been silent the entire time also had a confused look, “The reason only Arch Magi can create a domain that belongs to them isn’t it because lower grade magicians don’t have enough magic power? Or rather that their control over elemental magic energy isn’t strong enough?”

“It is like this, but this also means that forcefully manipulating magic space is much harder than restoring it to normal. Using the situation from earlier to explain, when the two of you interfered with magic space with your domains, compared to attacking me, it’s much easier for me to restore the magic space to normal.” Xu Yi said.

“This is impossible.” Arch Magus Ofalian firmly shook his head, “Although this point of view is correct, you’ve forgotten a key aspect which is time. That’s right, the magic space will always move towards stability, even if we use our domains, it will move towards stability in the end. As a mortal, to force the magic space to always stay in a state of chaos or abnormal state is not possible. But, the magic space needs time to return to normal and no matter what, it is impossible to do what you just did and easily return the magic space to normal.”

“Then you’re saying that my magic power is stronger than yours?” Xu Yi gave a shrug and shook his head with a smile, “Of course that’s impossible. So in reality, what I just did was speed up the magic space’s ability to return to normal. Does this explanation clear the doubts in the hearts of your excellency Arch Magi?”

“That is even more impossible.” Arch Magus Ofalian shook his head again, “If you could affect the speed of returning to normal of magic space, doesn’t that mean that your control over magic space has already far surpassed our imaginations? If this was true, you wouldn’t only be an Arch Magus, you would be a Great Magus!”

“Of course I’m not a Great Magus.” Xu Yi revealed a smile, “But why do your excellency Arch Magi think that I can do this?”

Arch Magus Ofalian and Arch Magus Laduca looked at Xu Yi with knitted brows, still feeling confused.

“If you don’t understand, then I suggest that you read the article I wrote in the «Frestech Magic Machine Weekly». It was written in the third issue of February of this year, the article is called «Research into the influence of magic space on the stability of magic machines». After you read this article, perhaps you will understand that what I did just now isn’t that hard to believe.

Arch Magus Ofalian knitted his brows and fell into deep thought, but Arch Magus Laduca shook his head and coldly said, “We can study the article later, but right now it’s more important to take care of you. Ofalian, don’t be affected by this kid, the most important thing now isn’t magic research, but to kill him.”

Arch Magus Ofalian was surprised as he came back to his senses.

He looked at Xu Yi and gave another long sigh.

“Chairman Xu, your talent for magic really is shocking to me. If it wasn’t for this situation, I would be very willing to explore the mysteries of magic with you, but as for now…..I can only apologize.”

Xu Yi gave a laugh, “Don’t apologize because there’s no need. I say, your excellency Arch Magi, you still don’t understand what I mean after everything that I’ve said?”

“What do you mean?” Arch Magus Ofalian asked in a surprised voice.

“I mean that you can’t kill me at all, right?” Xu Yi spread his hands with a relaxed look on his face.

Arch Magus Ofalian’s expression sunk, “Chairman Xu, I admit that you are a person with shocking magic talent, but don’t be too arrogant. Even if you have a special understanding of magic space, do you really think that you can escape from both me and Laduca?”

“I’ve said it, it’s a fact.”

Xu Yi revealed a smile before suddenly reaching his hand into his chest, taking out some strange looking metal parts. He scattered them around and these metal parts were covered in different coloured lights as they flew around him.

Feeling the weak magic fluctuations from these metal parts, Arch Magus Ofalian and Arch Magus Laduca were surprised.

This Xu Yi, he wanted to use these small things to evade the attacks of the two of them?

Then when the small metal parts were around ten meters above Xu Yi, they released several light blue glows that linked each of the metal parts.

These seventeen lines of light linked the metal parts and formed a strange looking rhombic polyhedron in the air.

Seeing this polyhedron, Xu Yi looked past the two Arch Magi to Marshal Sudman who was observing from a distance.

“Marshal Sudman, you said that when you handled matters, you liked to control all factors in your hand to guarantee that nothing would go wrong. Then that means that if your plan to kill me fails, you should have a plan to account for this failure, right?”

Marshal Sudman heard this voice and he gave a cold snort.

“Humph, Xu Yi, I’ve prepared everything this time, you have no chance of escaping. I never needed to think of this kind of plan at all.”

“Is that so? Then I urge you to start thinking of one now.”

After saying this, Xu Yi looked back at the two Arch Magi and waved at them.

“Your excellency Arch Magi, if you’re interested in studying magic machines or magic space construction theory, you can come find me. As for now…..goodbye.”

After saying this, Xu Yi’s figure flashed as he entered the rhombic polyhedron formed by the beams of light.

Arch Magus Ofalian and Arch Magus Laduca both had premonitions that something was off. They released their magic power and didn’t hesitate at all to release a bunch of terrifying small Forbidden Spells at Xu Yi.

However, when these spells approached the polyhedron and were about to touch it, all the magic disappeared. They couldn’t affect the space inside of the polyhedron at all.

Then after that, Xu Yi inside of the polyhedron just vanished without a trace while Arch Magus Ofalian and Arch Magus Laduca watched on.
